Hugo coldly said, “I'll ask them to open a way out of the underworld. Go back. Don't interfere with what I'm doing.”

Lee Gun's face hardened. “You really want to live here?”

“It is none of your business. Also, a replacement for me should have been sent to you, right?”

“…!”

“Also, why are you here in the first place?” Hugo laughed as if he was dumbfounded. “I even wrote a letter saying you shouldn't come here. Did you not understand what I was saying?”

Lee Gun didn't speak when he heard those words. He scoffed. “Huh.”

His already-limited patience seemed to have come to an end. As proof of this, Lee Gun let out a bright smile. “I see. I have no choice if that's what you want.”

“Yes. You finally understand what I'm saying. Give my regards to everyone—”

Lee Gun's fist landed on Hugo's face. Then, Lee Gun let out a frightening laugh. “If I can't take you back, let's just have your funeral here instead.”

Lee Gun didn't hold back at all. He was using his power as if he didn't care if his opponent was a human or a monster.

The only reason Hugo was able to endure the beating was that Lee Gun was controlling his power.

If he killed Hugo instantly, Hugo wouldn't be able to feel pain. This was why he refrained just enough so that Hugo didn't immediately fall unconscious. He was beating Hugo to give him maximum pain.

Hugo's consciousness started to fade, and he became panic-stricken.

They were the Constructs who had been serving Pushover. Aside from being surprised, they were also angry.

Anubis, who had been dragged here by Lee Gun, desperately tried to run away through the door when he heard that.

The surging energy of Death pressed down on Anubis. “Where are you going, doggie?”

Anubis gritted his teeth when Death captured him. He had brought Lee Gun to this place for a reason.

'They were supposed to finish the transaction while I buy time. Is the transaction still ongoing?'

Anubis had immediately alerted his superior when Lee Gun had come knocking. Since Lee Gun's target was Hugo, Anubis was supposed to keep Lee Gun busy. While he did so, Hugo would quickly be transported to Ennead. Lee Gun would be unable to go there since it was a sealed region!
