Shwaa!

The jet of water that shot out of him swept over Simon’s head as if in slow motion.

Glittering drops fell straight down and began to wet Simon’s silver hair.

“!..”

His clean silver hair was wet.

Simon watched as the clear liquid dripped onto his hair and turned to stone.

Although he was wet with baby urine, his beauty was striking, as if he were wet with morning dew.

“…Pff.”

‘Oh, I shouldn’t laugh.’

Kalia covered her mouth with her hand and turned away, barely holding back her laughter. Trying to contain this impulse, a strange buzzing sound was heard from her.

‘You can’t laugh, forget how to laugh. Kalia Tacskate…!’

“Hmm.”

In the end, Kalia bit her tongue, and Simon, frozen in slow motion, pushed back his wet hair.

“You.”

A sigh escaped the calm voice.

Simon silently looked at the child, as if at a loss for words.

But Sasha did something to break Simon’s silence.

“Aw, awuu.”

The baby clicked its beautiful mouth and tiny tongue, making strange nonsensical sounds.

The stunned child’s eyes went straight to Simon’s eyes and head. Sasha held out his hand to him, as if he really liked Simon’s shiny hair. Spread plump fingers tried to hold the man.

“Gya, yu, vua.”

His figure, muttering loudly and shaking his arms, looked like a puppy desperate for food.

“…”

Simon, looking at the child with calm eyes, finally reached out and took the child’s hand extended towards him.

“Gyaa.”

The baby grabbed Simon’s thumb tightly, shook it, and smiled.

It was strange.

Obviously, Sasha was still a newborn, and Kalia was told that a child at such a young age simply can’t smile yet… However, in Kalia’s eyes, it looked like Sasha was smiling at Simon. He seemed to be looking directly at him and smiling directly at him.

‘…Do you even recognize him?’

It was the face Simon showed her every day when Sasha was still in Kalia’s belly. Did he see it through Kalia’s eyes? Or is it all the strength of that bloodline?

Simon also felt this strange feeling, so, wet and silent, he stared at the boy.

His hands trembled helplessly at the strength of the child’s grip.

Simon, who let go of his hand and only looked at the baby, finally smiled. His smile looked desperate, but at the same time contained a strange sense of satisfaction.

“Do you even know how much you look like your mother?”

’…I don’t think I’ll ever be able to defeat you.’

Kalia was staring at Simon’s back, who was whispering softly into the child’s ear. Despite the fact that he looked wet, there was no trace of displeasure on Simon’s face.

Instead, the gaze of the child holding his hand was warm.

For some reason, Kalia couldn’t take her eyes off them.

‘Dad, dad…’

Simon went out to take a shower, and Kalia, left alone, put Sasha, who had fallen asleep after milk, into the crib, and fell asleep herself.

She’d been with Simon since childhood, but the Simon she saw now didn’t look like the Simon she knew.

A wizard who can laugh even wet with baby pee.

Is this even possible?

So she misunderstood Simon?

Kalia shook her head thoughtfully.

‘It must be the image that Simon wanted to show.’

What made her think he hated children.

Prior to this, Kalia considered herself infertile. And Simon made her think he hated children too, because she couldn’t have them.

“It’s just… I’ve loved you ever since.”

“I couldn’t let the woman I love look so devastated when she looked at something she couldn’t have.”

The Simon’s voice quietly confessing, whispering in her ear.

Kalia closed her eyes and remembered that voice again and again.

“…I’ve loved you ever since.”

“The woman I love…”

Just thinking about that sleepy voice filled Kalia’s entire body with energy.

The smell of baby milk in front of her nose and Simon’s voice engulfing her thoughts made Kalia feel her whole body relax.

‘But Simon… You don’t have to give up something just because I can’t have it.’

It was hard to believe that he was even going to give up the baby because she was infertile.

How far did this thought go in Simon?

‘Dad.’

Maybe he was already somewhere, where he died in his old age with her?

Perhaps it really looks that Simon might be too good a man for her.

A lover like no other in the world, a man who can be a good enough father to make his own mobile and change his own diaper.

The more Kalia got to know Simon, the more she liked him.

Not just as a good person, but as a good lover and reliable family member.

Ah, maybe Simon didn’t even realize how he constantly seduced her.

‘Smart guy.’

Closing her eyes, Kalia lifted the corners of her lips.

‘Will Sasha be happier with dad? No, with Simon ‘we all’ would be happier.’

With that vague thought, as she shook her head, Kalia fell asleep.

About 3 hours later, Kalia, who had been sleeping very soundly, woke up again.

“Uwah, uwaaah.”

The cry of a crying baby echoed at dawn. The sound of a voice reaching his ears immediately awakened Kalia’s resting consciousness.

“Shh, shhhh… Stop crying, Sasha, if you continue like this, you’ll wake up your mother.”

And the voice of a man, embarrassedly holding a crying child in his arms.

‘Simon?’

Kalia, who had woken up with cloudy eyes closed, looked back at the man who calmly held the baby in his arms and comforted him. His slender and tall stature cast a long shadow into the dimly lit room. He continued to whisper in a low voice, holding the child, leaning his face against the wide aquarium.

“Sasha. Sasha. Shhh. Do you want me to sing you a song? I changed your diaper… So why are you crying? Don’t cry, don’t. You will wake up Kalia.”

She could feel the impatience in her low voice.

Kalia, seeing Simon walking around the room with a baby in her arms, came to her senses and called out to him.

“Simon.”

“Ah, are you awake? Now look, Sasha. You woke up your mother, and I asked you to solve this with me like a man with a man,” grumbling, as if in jest, Simon took the child in his arms, and Sasha groaned again, as if he didn’t like something. “God, this is a joke, a joke. Don’t be afraid when I joke with you.”

Startled, Simon lifted Sasha back onto his shoulder and looked at Kalia.

“I’ll try to put him to bed again so you can get more sleep.”

“Why are you here?”

“I came when I heard Sasha’s cry. You may be very tired, Kalia. It’s not that you didn’t hear him… Maybe you just haven’t had a drink in a long time.”

“Oh yeah. I drank.”

It was Kalia who stayed for a drink after Simon left. After all, Sasha was still bottle fed, refusing to feed on her milk, so it didn’t matter if she drank.

“You can sleep some more, I’ll put Sasha to bed.”

“Mm, no. Give me Sasha. He must be crying because he’s hungry.”

“What? Didn’t he just eat?”

Kalia smiled at the surprised Simon.

“At this age, babies eat every 2-3 hours, regardless of day and night. Besides, Sasha has a good appetite.”

When she woke up, she found powdered milk that she kept in the refrigerator and took it. Simon grabbed it as if he wanted to take it away from Kalia and pushed her back onto the bed.

“I’ll feed him so you can sleep more. You said you went out to stretch today? And you said you looked after Sasha last night. Just sleep tonight.”

“It’s okay, I feel rested after getting some sleep.”

“You’re lying. You still have sleepy eyes? When you return to the capital, you will be too busy, so be lazy and rest while you are still here.”

“It seems to me that even now I laze every day.”

“This isn’t enough. I heard that giving birth to a child is like rearranging the bones of the body… They say that this creates a lot of stress for the body, but over the years it does not go away. So get some rest.”

‘But it’s not that hard…’

Honestly, she has more help than any other mother in the world. They had a nanny with them, who looked after the baby at any time, Hemmie was here to help too, and her doctor didn’t sleep all night with Simon.

‘You are blessed, Sasha.’

As a mother, it was natural for her to look at her child. And maybe Simon didn’t even know he thought the same way. Kalia may never admit it, but she may have begun to realize that Simon was the father of this little life.

Although Kalia said that she hadn’t yet recognized him, maybe she was giving up her thinking and began to recognize Simon as a father.

Well, there was no reason for her to stop him anyway, since he was so active.

As Simon had told her, Kalia was lying on her back on the bed.

“It is necessary to give milk at a temperature of 40 degrees. Otherwise, they say, the stomach will hurt.”

“40 degrees? Okay.”

Simon carefully raised the temperature of his palm while holding the glass bottle.

He was a skilled magician, so he adjusted the temperature.

Kalia leaned her head back on the pillow and looked at Simon, who was bottle feeding, hugging the baby carefully.

The moonlight of dawn penetrated the dark room.

The sight of Simon holding and bottle feeding the baby under the little red light that Simon turned on, despite being unusually dim, strangely stimulated Kalia’s vision.

She never thought she’d be able to see something like this.

He is also Simon’s son.

‘We are brothers, we are friends, we are drinking buddies…’

It was amazing again, it was absurd and strangely pleasant.

Kalia, who was silently looking at Simon, spoke.

“Simon.”

“Yes?”

“Do you love me?”

Simon’s shoulders froze and trembled.

He looked back at her and said as if he had heard nonsense.

“If you don’t believe me so much, I will repeat this to you every time we look into each other’s eyes.”

“It’s not like I don’t believe you.”

“Then what?”

“It’s just… I don’t feel it.”

Simon, who was calmly holding the baby, suddenly turned to Kalia. Did she think his dark golden eyes seemed to sparkle?

“Don’t you feel it, Kalia?”

“Huh?”

“…Then, should I make it real?”
