Super God of War Chapter 400 - First Clear Obtained for Guardian Eller

Whether one believed it or not, this so-called "luck" did exist in the game. A lucky player like Zheng Ziliang would never roll anything below 80, and would always get some pretty good stuff from gift bags. As such, based on his luck, it was a good choice for him to be the offering.

"Dragon Armor Removal!" Lin Jie cast again, and everybody's damage went up too.

Mixed Breathless shook his head and sighed. "This skill to ignore defense is too strong. Even a Bandit's Cold Blood cannot be compared to it. What a shame Abstruse Gray Wind, that rascal, is still in the middle of his mission. Otherwise, with his corrosive skills, the Boss would be much easier to handle."

"Gray Wind's job is unique. Once he advances his job, he will be able to unleash all his potential. I specially arranged for him to go and advance his job so that he will be able to fully use his job's special features," replied Lin Jie.

There was actually a missing person in this team—the Curse Emperor, Abstruse Gray Wind.

At lower levels in the game, players' stats were still above the Boss' stats, so it was not difficult to deal damage.

However, the Bosses were all like iron walls now with extremely high damage, showing the threat of a real Boss. It was difficult for players to just slash around randomly like in the past. With just their buffs alone, it was hard for them to deal any high damage. Skills and curses that could lower the target's stats were essential. Now, the importance of the job, which was hard to level up and dependent on teammates, could finally be seen.

Gray Wind was Lin Jie's secret weapon. While other guilds would have trained a player of this job, they would never have paid as much attention and effort as Lin Jie to raise a Spellcaster of Curse. He had provided Gray Wind with many techniques of the job from his past life and also given him several missions for him to obtain rare skills.

Another burst of attacks caused Guardian Eller's health to drop further, and it was almost down to the last 10%. At that moment, there were still 4 more seconds to the end of the Holy Light baptism.

"Everybody retreat by 40 yards. Fat Cattle cast Fire Explosion spells that deal damage over time!" Lin Jie was staring intensely at Guardian Eller's health bar. The moment it hit 11%, he commanded the members of Savage Blade to retreat. Everyone was shocked and immediately stopped their attacks before running back at full speed.

When Guardian Eller's health dropped to 10%, he cast a top-notch Paladin skill [Group Confession]. After the Group Confession, the Boss would immediately summon two Holy Thunderstorm and give himself additional Divine Shield. He would then enter an invincible state for 30 seconds. The two Holy Thunderstorm were enough to instantly kill any main tanks, and with the Boss' attacks in that 30 seconds, it was simply impossible.

Any normal team would be wiped out by the Boss at this stage.

However, with Lin Jie's command beforehand, Savage Blade was able to retreat in advance. Domestic Fat Cattle met Lin Jie's eyes and immediately understood his intention. His flame spells would be able to continuously damage Guardian Eller even at a distance.

As they were retreating to a safe distance, Guardian Eller roared and killed Zheng Ziliang, who was in the midst of Holy Light baptism instantly. Following that, he opened his arms, and rains of Holy Light descended. It was Group Confession.

Everybody avoided it safely.

The two Holy Thunderstorm that followed it also landed in empty space. Guardian Eller roared out in anger, "Holy Light give me strength, I am Eller!" Then he cast his Divine Shield. His body was wrapped in holy light, and his skin was covered in a layer of clear crystal. He was invincible for 30 seconds and entered Enraged Mode!

While Guardian Eller was enraged, his Attack Speed was increased by 100%. Along with his cheating Divine Shield and his extremely high Attack, he was just like a predator in those 30 seconds, killing anyone he caught.

"Throw all the Fragments of Faith you have at him!" said Lin Jie, and everybody tossed the remaining fragments they were holding. Each Fragment of Faith was able to reduce Guardian Eller's Divine Shield uptime by 1%. This was the biggest use of the Fragment of Faith. It was used to end Guardian Eller's invincibility!

If one increased their reputation to Admiration in all of the villages around the Devils Fork before the start of the third dungeon, they would be able to see messages in the air saying, "There's a group of crazy Paladins in Holy Light Temple", "They seemed to be worried over their faith shattering", "Seems like everybody who was brainwashed have fragments of faith which can control Holy Light". This was one of the special features of a Main Plot Dungeon: you can obtain many clues to help clear the dungeon from other places.

Once one learned of that, it would be easy to deal with the first Boss.

Since Zheng Ziliang, wait no, Zheng the Undead did not die and held on for over 10 seconds, along with Bu Yi, who interrupted Guardian Eller, and Star Kill's luck, Guardian Eller was unable to use Holy Light Baptism much. The large number of Fragments of Faith that Savage Blade had collected were all thrown at Guardian Eller at once, and his Divine Shield was completely taken down!

According to Lin Jie's calculations, if every player could last for around 3 seconds, the Fragments of Faith they had could take down the Divine Shield by 15 seconds. Now, their situation was even better than expected!

"Now's the time to beat him up without mercy!" Lin Jie yelled excitedly. Guardian Eller's Enraged Mode only increased his Movement Speed. Without his Divine Shield, this Enraged Mode was completely useless.

"Shield Fortress!"

Mixed Breathless roared as his heavy shield locked onto Guardian Eller and bought the other members time to attack him. The surviving members drank their potions at once and used all their precious channeling materials. Blade Auras, magic, arrows, and bursts of light gathered into a spectacular attack, which headed towards Guardian Eller!

"Clomaros' Kill!"

Lin Jie also sent out his strongest attack, and a large intimidating golden sword came slashing down. Guardian Eller tried to block it with his long spear with all his might, but a loud "Kacha" could be heard as something tore apart.

Guardian Eller laid on the ground with his broken long spear, and his eyes had lost focus.

Dead!

"Phew…" Everybody let out a sigh of relief. However, Lin Jie was the only one who stared like a hawk at the corpses of the small monsters on the ground. Suddenly, a body moved…

"Death Grip!"

—"You have triggered a change, the mission will be entering Hero-Level!"

Lin Jie reached out with his right hand and interrupted the commoner's channeling action with a slap. He instantly killed the monster that was pretending to be dead with one hit.

This was Guardian Eller's last resort. Among the dead commoners, there was one faithful follower of Eller who had the skill [Sacrificial Revival Spell], which could bring back Guardian Eller with 30% of his health points. Since the casting speed was only 0.5 seconds, it would be hard to stop the skill if he was not prepared beforehand.

The best method would have been to stab every monster again when they were killing them.

However, Lin Jie did not choose to do so. The reason was that players in his previous life had found out that if they did not kill the monster with the revival spell on purpose and wait for him to cast it after Guardian Eller's death, they would be able to enter Hero-Level regardless if the monster succeeded or not! If they were to interrupt the skill of the monster before Guardian Eller could be revived, it would be taken as if they had instantly killed the Hero-Level Boss.

Lin Jie understood this clearly from his past life and handled everything calmly. On the other hand, everybody else was surprised by the possibility of Guardian Eller reviving. Had it really come back to life, all of them would have died in his hands.

"Hoho, I'm so excited. I can't wait to see the next Boss." The Heavenly Shield squeezed his shield and said with passion in his eyes, "I hope the next Boss can smash my shield with a punch."

"That's the spirit!" Lin Jie praised. "Fight fire with fire. This is how we do things."

At that moment, they received good news.

The Curse Emperor, Abstruse Gray Wind, had completed his job advancement mission and was on his way there!
