“Let's go,” After Gilian consumed the bread and plain water, both her health bar and mana bar increased by one-tenth volume, but it stopped there. She sighed softly and shook her head. When she stood up, she suddenly seemed to realize that her words didn't quite suit her current status. She made a slight bow. “My Master, we should go now.”

Lin Jie acknowledged her words with a brief nod and motioned to Gilian to lead the way.

One hour after they left, there was a rustle among the bushes. 50 plus Druids who were in the form of light-purplish color leopards charged out and ran away!

Light purple was the symbolic color of Night Elves, or more accurately, Night Elf NPCs.

Their eyes brimmed with fear, and even the mad rush could not calm themselves down. The female Druid who was at the back of the group suddenly tripped over her own legs and fell hard onto the ground, moaning painfully.

Great wind was brought up, and the surrounding temperature decreased. Snow floated down from the skies. Lin Jie frowned—Thana Great Forest was divided clearly into different sections, the snowing area signified they were around the Level 40 or above map.

“Come with me,” said Gilian as she proceeded forward.

Lin Jie was about to follow her steps when the Silver-Feathered Eagle started screeching anxiously in mid-air. Through the Spirit Vision skill, Lin Jie finally discovered that there actually were other monsters on this white, snowy landscape—the Chillwind Yeti, which was a Level 40 creature. Though it couldn't use any skills, it had one of the strongest Stats among Level 40 monsters.

Lin Jie held his breath, and avoiding the areas which the Chillwind Yetis moved about, he hurried after Gilian.

The outer appearances of the creatures spawned in the snowy region, like the Yetis and Alaskan Dogs, could trick people easily, especially since it was snowing. Normal people would not be able to identify them within the snow. If not for the fact that the Silver-Feathered Eagle saw the symbolic fur of the Yetis and the Alaskan Dogs' wagging tails, Lin Jie would long have been gobbled up by some wild beast on this terrain.

The Secret Techniques of Clomaros gave off faint glimmers in Lin Jie's backpack as if urging him to continue on. However, Gilian wasn't a good guide. She walked on fast in front, and at times, Lin Jie couldn't see her within the snow.

He looked at the direction Gilian was walking in and double-checked it against the map he was holding in his hands. A huge cave which led to a deep cavern was in front of them. Darkness fell upon them and covered both their figures. When it turned bright again, both the nun and the man were gone. Instead, a petrifying Spider Queen with a Dead Knight who was enshrouded in black mist replaced them.

“Is the Secret Techniques of Clomaros found here?” asked Lin Jie in anticipation.

Gilian shook her head. She pointed a lean finger at a Yeti which was pacing around the grounds before the cave, and she licked her lips.

“I am hungry.”

Lin Jie rolled his eyes. He rummaged through his backpack, then discovered that he had used up all the raw meat he had as bait to lure and kill the Experimental Monster. He had no meat left now.

Lin Jie checked the Yeti's Stats.

[Yeti Victor]: Level 40 Elite, Health Points: 160,000.

“Madame, do you mind to change to another dish? Just look at its furry leg hair and armpit hair, how can you even dare to eat it?” Lin Jie screwed up his face in exasperation. This was a Level 40 Elite which could make use of its high levels to suppress 40% of Lin Jie's Stats. It was too difficult to kill such a monster.

“I want to eat the Yeti.” Gilian shot Lin Jie a look.

“A Yeti tastes much better than those coarse and thick-skinned wild beasts!”

“How about getting it by yourself?”

Lin Jie sighed. He had no choice but to relent in to this absurd-but-true excuse. ‘Okay, fine, you are an NPC, you win!'

This time round, Gilian seemed to be more understanding of Lin Jie's difficulties though. She waved her hands and placed a Blessing Spell which gave off black halos upon Lin Jie.

[Demonic Armed Blessing]: This can increase 15% of your weapons' Attack Power, and your attacks will be transformed to Dark-type attacks.

Lin Jie was pleasantly surprised. This was such a powerful Blessing Spell! Other than increasing 15% Attack Power, it could actually transform one's attacks into Dark-type attacks—that's a Mana Attack. Mana Attacks could only be countered by Magic Resistance and Mana Defense, and these were normally the monsters' weakest points! This was also the reason why Mages could always level up so fast.

Dark Blessing Spells were rarely seen around in the Guild of Light—considering that it still was a branch of Dark Magic, these type of skills were generally being scoffed at by the authorities of the Guild of Light who were mostly the Holy Church's followers. After all, as members of the Holy Church and Guild of Light, it wouldn't appear nice to become all shriveled up due to practicing Dark Magic.

After bestowing the Blessing Spell, Gilian's Mana points decreased by yet another one-fifth of her remaining Mana bar.

“Do you have other Blessing Spells that you can use on me? Like those which could increase my defense?” asked Lin Jie smilingly.

Gilian waved her hands again, and the Kiara Beast King Armor was being enshrouded in a black mist.

[Demonic Armor Blessing]: This can increase your Defense by 15%, and increase your Defense against Dark spells +30.

Lin Jie's Attack Power had increased to 455-718, and his Defense had increased to 546 now! Wow, if only he could make Gilian stay by his side all the time, just by making her bestow Blessing Spells on him… He would be a winner!
