Chapter 76 Seething with Fury

During the dawn of Heaven and Earth, the universe gave birth to all creatures. That era was long gone, and was something that countless cultivators longed for. Even Ye Fan yearned for it, but all he could do was lament.

He made great progress that night. His Sea of Bitterness had grown from the size of a soybean to the size of a pigeon egg. Entering the small restaurant, he found that the old man had only just started setting breakfast and that little Tingting was in the midst of knocking on his door, not giving up in trying to get him out of bed. Ye Fan couldn’t help but smile at the sight.

When it was midday was Ye Fan roused by a loud racket.

“Old trash who won’t die, hurry and prepare some food and drinks for us, otherwise we’ll tear down your little store!”

“Manager Liu, what are we supposed to do now that we’ve been kicked out of the Li family?”

“You’re asking me? How am I supposed to know? Let’s just get through this day. Old Man Jiang, why aren’t you moving? Hurry up and bring us food and drinks, or prepare to become a corpse!”

The yellowed-faced middle-aged man and his underlings were all wrapped in bandages. Some of the people had been burned badly by that blazing fire, while some of them had been beaten up by the Li family. They had all been banished from the family.

Little Tingting stood in front of the table, timidly saying, “Don’t yell at my grandpa. We aren’t opening anymore, go eat somewhere else.”

BANG!

Manager Liu slammed his hand on the table, glaring and saying, “Old Man Jiang, you better quit dawdling! If you continue like this, I’ll throw your granddaughter into a well!”

“Little girl, go wait over there. What’s happening here doesn’t have anything to do with you!” A fierce man with left hand wrapped in bandages pushed Tingting back with his right hand, almost causing her tumble onto the ground.

Uncle Jiang immediately stopped her from falling, placing her behind him. “We weren’t able to keep the shop open so we had no choice but to close it to business. You guys should find somewhere else to eat.”

“Did you forget yesterday’s teachings? You still want to test us now that our moods are this bad?!” Manager Liu sneered. His yellow face had become even more yellow, apparently extremely gloomy and cold.

He suddenly stood up and grabbed Uncle Jiang’s neck, coldly saying, “You old fart, you really are becoming more unyielding these few days. Such a calamity occurred to us yesterday, yet you dare to refuse us? Now that you’ve provoked us, we’ll burn your shit restaurant to the ground! You and your little girl can go beg for food on the streets!”

“Don’t hit grandpa…,” wept Little Tingting. She was just five years old, so short that she was unable to reach Manager Liu’s arm. All she could do was grab onto one of his legs, raising her head and begging, “Please let my grandpa go. He’s already over seventy…”

Manager Liu’s hand was tightly gripped around Uncle Jiang’s neck. Although he was burned, he still wasn’t someone that Uncle Jiang at his old age could fight with. The old man’s neck was quickly turning green, and his wrinkled face was turning bright red as he coughed a couple times.

Little Tingting’s eyes were full of tears. She was grabbing onto Manager Liu’s leg, anxiously and pitifully crying. “I’m begging you, please let grandpa go. He can’t breathe…

“My grandpa’s already over seventy, don’t hurt him like this…let him go.” Little Tingting was crying as she tried to shake Manager Liu’s leg. But how much strength could she possibly have? She was completely powerless.

“Little brat, go wait over there!” Manager Liu pushed her back, knocking her to the floor. He then prepared to kick her with his leg.

Ye Fan charged into the little restaurant from the back, arriving just in time to see this scene. He picked up a teapot on the table beside him and threw it onto the leg Manager Liu was about to use to kick little Tingting to block it, before rushing in and pulling little Tingting up.

“Big brother…” Little Tingting’s mouth was puckered as she timidly cried out, her large eyes red, her face covered with tear stains, and her new clothes covered completely in dust.

Ye Fan’s anger immediately soared. It was like a fire had been ignited within his body. He immediately pushed aside Manager Liu’s hand, rescuing Uncle Jiang, before angrily saying, “Do you really have the heart to attack such a lonely old man? Are you even human?!”

“Where did this damn little brat come? He dares to speak like this?” The other few people were unwilling to let it rest, all standing up and maliciously staring at Ye Fan.

Manager Liu’s expression was incomparably gloomy. He arrogantly looked down on Ye Fan and said, “Little brat, before you grow up, don’t try to be a grown-up and save others. Once I throw you into the sewers, we’ll see if you still dare to shout like this!”

Uncle Jiang’s neck was badly bruised, and his face was red as he knelt upon the ground, coughing for a long time before recovering. Little Tingting was extremely worried, weeping as she patted the old man’s back. “Grandpa’s fine, right? Don’t scare Tingting, Tingting’s worried, Tingting’s very scared…”

Seeing all this, Ye Fan’s anger soared even more. But his gaze became cold, glaring at Manager Liu, saying, “Such grown up grownups, have your years been wasted as a fucking dog?!”

“Where did this damn brat come from to dare curse at Manager Liu?! Beat him to death!”

The yellow-faced middle-aged man didn’t even have time to express his own rage before a fierce-looking man charged up, drawing back his hand to hit Ye Fan’s face.

“AHHH!” However, he immediately screamed miserably. Ye Fan was the first to take action, grabbing onto the burnt part of his arm. None of them were aware of how powerful Ye Fan was, and they all thought that fierce-looking man must have accidentally been hit on his injuries for him to cry his lungs out like this.

Manager Liu was driven out of the Li family. This was within Ye Fan’s expectations, but he didn’t expect that he would still act so tyrannical, being forced into such a plight, yet still deciding to come here and abuse them.

“Little brat, your guts aren’t small.” Manager Liu sneered, reaching out his hand to hit Ye Fan’s face. His movements weren’t all that quick as he was trying to humiliate Ye Fan.

Pow!

Ye Fan swung out one arm, sending Manager Liu flying, knocking onto that old square table. A mouthful of blood spurted from his mouth, and one strand of blood flew over three meters away. He struggled and managed to get up, before then opening his mouth and spitting out seven or eight teeth.

“Dammit, kill this fucking brat!” Manager Liu raged. His yellow face practically twisted on itself, and his eyes seemed to want to spit out flames.

These people still didn’t have any idea that Ye Fan was not an ordinary person. They surrounded him on all sides. Ye Fan coldly looked at them, and suddenly reached and pinched each of their bandaged wounds, causing immediate screams.

Pow, pow, pow…

Ten slaps to the face occurred. Both his left and right hands swung out, viciously slapping across their faces.

“You bunch of brutes dare to attack and bully a lonely old man who works so bitterly, as well as such an adorable child. Truly deserving of death.” Ye Fan’s strength was actually so great that if he wasn’t holding it back, these people’s heads would have cracked open from those blows. 

Despite this, many of their molars were still sent flying. This group of bandaged people had all been beaten to the point that blood spurted from their mouth and noses, and their teeth rolled upon the ground.

“Little brat, you dare hit us?”

“It fucking hurts, my fucking wound…”

These people were miserably screaming as they rolled upon the ground.

“Sorry Uncle Jiang, I forget this was inside your restaurant. I’ll immediately throw them out to keep it clean.” Ye Fan then grabbed them one by one and threw them all outside. 

Uncle Jiang’s emotions were fluctuating wildly. Having been stifled by these people for two years, all his resentment seemed to flow out of him at this moment, his whole body trembling. He used his hand to cover little Tingting’s eyes, not wanting her to see this, afraid this little girl would become scared. 

Tingting was incomparably worried, weeping as she asked, “Grandpa, how’s big brother? Are those bad people bullying him?!”

“Don’t worry Tingting, big brother is fine. Those bad people have all been thrown out by him.”

After throwing them onto the road, Ye Fan didn’t just let them off. He kicked them like they were balls, sending them rolling back and forth. They continuously cried out, letting out miserable cries like they were being tortured, sounding like pigs about to be slaughtered.

Of course, Ye Fan focused on Manager Liu. His face became swollen, and he was hit so many times that most of his teeth were all sent flying out.

“Save us!”

“He’s trying to kill us!”

These people repeatedly called out for help, causing many people to come see what was happening. However, there was not a single person who helped them once they saw what was going on. Instead, many people wished to eagerly kick them as well.

Seeing this, Ye Fan bellowed out, “Fellow townsfolk, what are you guys still waiting for? While these guys acted as dogs for the Li family they would constantly bully you, but now they have been kicked out of the Li family, so there’s nothing left to worry about it. Come beat them, teach them a vicious lesson!”

As soon as he said this, his expectations were completely surpassed. All of the surrounding people immediately rushed over, young, old, male, female, they all started to violently beat them.

“This morning I heard that these people were all beat by the Li family because their goods were set on fire. Seems like it’s true.”

“No wonder this youngster could beat them up. They were actually covered in wounds. They had just been beaten, so that’s why this youngster didn’t end up bringing disaster to himself.”

“Beat them, beat these bastards!”

The group was extremely inflamed, fighting to be at the front and beat up the people on the ground. Just how hated were these people? Now that these people were free to do as they pleased, their anger immediately burst out.

The people on the ground were rolling back and forth, miserably screaming to the point they didn’t even seem human anymore. They miserably wailed, crying for the mothers and fathers, beaten by people and then even urinated and defecated upon themselves, the stench overwhelming.

Ye Fan had originally been preparing to handle it himself and break some of their bones so they wouldn’t be able to bully anyone for at least a year. But now he found that he simply didn’t need to act at all.

Those townsmen all acted very viciously. Most of the people on the ground already had broken arms and legs. They most likely would be crippled for at least half a life. It was possible to imagine just how much resentment they had built up over the years.

“Spare us, we won’t dare to bother you again!”

“AHH, save me, I’m dying…”
