"Hubby, get up. Someone is at the door."

"Who?"

"I don't know."

  John woke up and went to the door. It was Miss Fue. She was soaked with sweat and panting, having just run in through the stairs maybe. Both John and Zinu shocked to see her.

"What happened? Why are you here now, at this time? Is grandma ok?"

"No...master...She....she fell down from the bed and fainted. Today I slept in her room, as she was not feeling well. I ...heard something fell down on the ground. So, I went near her to check. She was lying on the floor unconscious."

"What? How is it possible? Wasn't she fine just yesterday? Then how could she fainted suddenly."

"Master, madam was not fine. She has been sick for more than one week.  I wanted to inform you. But she stopped me to do so."Miss Fue said.

  Miss Fue lowered her head. She did not inform John about Mrs Smith's health conditions because, Mrs Smith stopped her, but now she regrets her decision. John and Zinu hurriedly went to Mrs Smith's room. Miss Fue somehow managed to get her up in the bed already. 

"Grandma, Wake up grandma. What happened ?" John tried to wake up her but failed.

He glared at Miss Fue in anger.

"Aunt Fue, I told you earlier. Never hide any news regarding grandma from me. Now see what happened to her? Are you taking care of her like this? I am truly disappointed in you."

"Master please forgive me. I should not have listened to madam. Next time I will be careful."Miss Fue said sadly. She could not control her tears. She knew it was her fault.

" Hubby, please don't be mad at her. We have to treat grandma as soon as possible. I am calling the doctor," Zinu said and about to leave to bring her mobile, but John stopped her.

"Wait Zinu. Grandma's condition is not good. We have to take her to the hospital immediately. Go and wear something warm. We need to go now. And Aunt Fue, Please inform the driver to get ready the car immediately." John said and hurriedly left the room to wear some warm clothes, as it is already cold outside. 

   After twenty minutes they reached the hospital. John immediately brought her to the emergency. The doctors were already waiting for the patient, as John informed them beforehand. The door of the Emergency room of the hospital closed.

   John waited outside the emergency room with Zinu. Zinu looked at him. She knew how much he is worried. His grandma was John's only family for so many years. Mrs Smith had to go through a lot to raise John as a successful person. Raising a child without his father or mother is not an easy task.

   Zinu holds John's hand. He looked at her. Zinu could see the sadness in his eyes.

"Hubby, don't worry,  she is strong. Nothing will happen to her."

   John nodded. He felt like crying.

"Zinu, she had done a lot for me.  But I could not do anything for her. I even could not felt that she is ill. Do you remember, she was speaking with us about her death? That was a signal from her.  But I could not understand her signal. I am not a good grandson of her."

"No, hubby. It is not like what you thinking. It is not correct that you are not a good grandson. You are doing your duty perfectly. But there are some things in the world, which is not in our hand. We can not change our fate."

"But Zinu, I am feeling guilty of not taking proper care of her. If I would take her care properly, she would not have to be ill. What if I asked Aunt Fue about grandma yesterday, she would not have to hide grandma's real condition from me. Now see what happened.'

" Hubby, please calm down. Stop worrying about her. Worrying would only make things worse. She will be fine. Doctors are checking her now. If it is serious, we can bring the best specialists in the world."

  They stopped talking as they saw the door of the emergency room opened. Two doctors came out of the room. They looked worried as well as tired. They had been inside the room for more than two hours. John reached near them with long strides.

"Doctor, how is my grandma? Is she ok?"

   They looked at John before speaking anything.

"Please tell, doctor. How is my grandma? Will she be fine?"John asked again when he saw the doctors are not saying anything.

" Mr Smith, as a doctor, it is my duty to inform you everything. She is again got a heart attack. But this time it is not mild. It is a severe one. Only one per cent of patients could come out from this fatal attack."

"What ...what did you say, doctor? Grandma's attack is very strong this time? But how is it possible? She was taking her medicines properly."

"Yes, Mr Smith. It is fatal this time. Now her body is not accepting the medication due to her age. Apart from this, I think, she was in stress due to some reason. I told you earlier that, It is not good for a weak heart. But we can try. She has strong will power.So, we can hope for the best.We will start her treatment now.So,we are shifting her to the  ICU immediately."

"Doctor, you must save my grandma. Doctor, you try all your medical knowledge. If you want to bring some experts from foreign, you can bring.But you must save her anyhow." John said.

"Look, Mr Smith. We are doctors, not God. We will try our best. And yes, I knew you would want some specialists. So I have invited the best one already. He will arrive here by tomorrow.  You don't worry. Hope for the best.  Now please excuse me." The doctor said and left.
