Reincarnation of the Cheater 37 Duel Round 2

"It's time for round 2, Prepare yourself." He says with a determined look on his face as he puts the spear away and takes out a sword and encased it in mana. Due to the adrenaline running in me I didn't even notice the loud cheers of the crowd throughout the fight as I get ready for his real assault.

He has higher stats than me as well as a better skill level in sword mastery. I'm finished testing out word magic so all I need to try out is combo star, how much is the increase in strength for the combo as well as how can the combo be reset.

Punching out my fist at the incoming sword attack as it comes closer and eventually they meet. With combo star added to my original stats, the combo is just enough to put us at a stalemate.

"It seems I wasn't the only one holding back." he says with a smile on his face as he strikes again.

Every sword swing was countered with a punch but my combo never increased. It looks like I have to land a hit for it to be added to my combo.

As sword and fist collide due to the sharpness of the sword my fists start to finally give out and blood seeps out profusely as I try to dodge and back away from him, but his attack was too fast and instead it took my left hand.

"Damn you're a monster. Who fights against a swordsman with his fists. You aren't even a pugilist and your fists are so durable. You might want to get that reattached as fast as possible." he says stopping his sword thinking I would give up since I was missing a hand.

Looking at the hand next to me as blood flows out of the wound I decide to use the word magic I've been saving from the start. I bend over and put my hand back in place as it starts trying to reconnect itself as the word activates and my arm shines brightly.

'Rewind'

As the word activates mana is constantly drained from me as my body goes back to what it was like before the fight. As the light dies down my opponent who has been staring at me in disbelief finally says something.

"You're more of a monster than Finn described." he says as he readies his sword again.

This time I take LostVayne out of the inventory and reflect the incoming attack. As his arm flies back due to the strength I put into the swing I run my hand over LostVayne and activate physical clone and rush forward with 5 copies right behind me.

'Body Reinforcement'

After activating body reinforcement I run mana through LostVayne and continue to attack him in a group. As the attacks all land I continue to get notifications from the system notifying me of the combo getting higher.

As the combo reaches heights I've never seen before due to my clones hits counting the strength of each hit gets heavier and heavier until eventually I hit my opponent in the head and check his status only to see it says he is unconscious so I stop and take notice of the audience as they are so silent you could probably hear a fly. As they take in the overwhelming win they begin to cheer even louder than before.

'I wonder if I can see Finn from here.' I think as I scan the audience and eventually find Rose waving next to Finn and everybody else.

'I didn't have to rely on time stop at all this fight.' I say proud of myself as I walk over to my opponent and secretly use word magic to 'heal' him. After healing him I leave the arena while the announcers are announcing the next fight after commentating on my fight. It seems like I might gain a reputation after this.

Outside the Coliseum, I meet up with everyone and we talk on our way to the adventurer guild.

"That was a nice fight Bell, we should have a duel one day." Edward says as he puts his arm around my shoulders happily.

"Sure, I'm ready when you are. This time though I would like to do it at the guild training grounds, I don't think I'm okay with going all out in front of so many people." I say as I check the notifications from the system during the fight.

As I hold my hand out while we're walking down the road the others look at me kinda weird but Finn stares at my hand as if he feels something is about to happen. As the item starts to appear out of nowhere an apple appears in my hand. This apple doesn't seem like an ordinary apple because it is giving me the chills just by having it in my hand.

As I read the description Finn walks over to me and grabs my hand that has the apple in it.

"Where did you get that." He says he loses control of himself and his voice shakes.
