Potion Maker Chapter 38: Flood Dragons

With about a week of travel left, they grew increasingly closer to their destination, through their travel Will started to realize that something was off with Cecily.

He noticed a warm look in her eyes whenever she looked at him, considering the fact that he still thinks she is just a twelve year old girl, he thinks that she probably is just looking up to him like a little sister looks up to her older brother.

Since they were only cooperating out of convenience, he also wouldn't even consider her taking a liking to him, he only cooperated out of consideration of his need for resources and somewhere safe to be.

The time they traveled was spent listening to the howling wind whip against the barrier of Cecily's flying treasure, the sounds of them repeatedly causing shock waves with their increasing speed also added to the sound, causing an interesting rhythm.

Trees whipped by in a blur as they either meditated or practiced martial arts, even though Will can't cultivate mana, he can still benefit from meditating.

He only needs a little push and he'll breakthrough to level three melee fighter, so a potion isn't necessary for this.

A flood dragon is at it's weakest a level three magic beast, a magic beast is always physically stronger than a cultivator in the same level.

This is at birth, the group of flood dragons before them seem to be at the youngest, just entering adulthood.

A couple of them seem to be at the sacred level.

Looking at the group of flood dragons, Will and Cecily were not only breaking out in cold sweat, they were also in awe at the beauty of these flood dragons.

Their blue-green scales sparkled in the sunlight like pure crystals as their serpentine bodies twisted and flowed in the air like a snake on land.

Letting out a shaking breath, Cecily's eyes lit up as she looked intently at the group of flood dragons, pointing at one of the flood dragons she spoke with excitement.

"There, you see that flood dragon? Not only is it really sluggish, it is also separating from the group, you understand what I am thinking?"

"Yes.. you mean to surround the sick looking one and take it down so we can get through the gap the missing flood dragon will open?"

"Yes, we will have to wait for it to get further away though, we can't alert the others"

They both took a deep breath as they stayed a distance from the flood dragons while watching from the air. They sat for about an hour as they watched the flood dragon leave the group and reach a secluded area, noticing that it's distance was almost enough, they started to slowly fly over using Cecily's treasure making sure not to cause shock waves.

It was only after traveling a few hundred kilometers in a couple minutes that the flood dragon stopped, allowing Will and Cecily to prepare for the fight with the flood dragon.

They could go around and avoid them, but the travel will take even longer, also, the older flood dragons the ones at the sacred level would be able to notice them with no problem.

This would pose an issue, so by killing one flood dragon without being noticed, they will be able to use the gap created and slip through before the others notice.

Getting ready to deal with the flood dragon, Will's body started to pop and make creaking noises as he started to clench his fists.

Slight buzzing sounds could be heard as energy flooded out of Cecily's body and took the shape of crystal white daggers and small balls of flame that revolved around her as her hair fluttered.

This fight will be the largest fight that Will has ever been in.
