Mu Chenyan walked out of the ward and saw Tian Qi around the corner waiting like a loyal hound . He seemed highly cautious as he raised his ears to listen to what was happening inside the ward .

Seeing Mu Chenyan walk out of the room, Tian Qi was clearly relieved .

“Tian Qi, I want to visit my mother . You're coming with me, right?”

“Yes!” Tian Qi answered .

Even if Mu Chenyan did not allow him to, he would still follow along .

“Sir said that I must not let Mistress out of my sight!”

Mu Chenyan nodded and Tian Qi continued after a short pause, “Don't tell Sir that I left just now…”

The corridor was quiet and Yan Mei's vital signs indicated that her body was in a good state under the care of the nurses in the recovering ward . Even so, Mu Chenyan still came very often as she hoped that miracle will happen one day .

Yan Mei's ward had always been guarded . Now that something had happened in Zong He, Yuan Xuan became even more cautious .

Oddly enough, the two guards who normally patrolled around the ward were nowhere to be seen today . There were only a few nurses and care workers hustling around the corridor .

Mu Chenyan took a turn around the corner and looked towards her mother's ward . A familiar figure caused her heart to shudder .

“Zhao Ruoxin? What are you doing here?”

Zhao Ruoxin was wearing a pale yellow dress and a white cardigan . She quietly stood outside Yan Mei's ward and looked at the unconscious woman through the window .

Upon hearing Mu Chenyan's voice, Zhao Ruoxin turned her head and looked at Mu Chenyan in the eyes . The corners of the woman's lips curled up, but she had a cold look on her face .

Mu Chenyan's heart was about to leap out of her chest!

She quickly walked over and used her body to cover the ward door . She was trembling slightly and there was less than a meter between each of them .

Mu Chenyan noted how Zhao Ruoxin did not answer her, so she continued to question, “Why did you come here? Don't even think about hurting my mother!”

Zhao Ruoxin pursed her lips together as she enjoyed watching Mu Chenyan getting all flustered . She had achieved her goal already!

When Mu Chenyan saw the look on Zhao Ruoxin's face, she knew that she had lost her sense of proportion .

Mu Chenyan was never the kind of woman who was unreasonable . However, after the incident with Zhao Yanni, she did not think that Zhao Ruoxin would care about Yan Mei's recovery out of good will .

Especially when Mu Chenyan saw the hatred in Zhao Ruoxin's eyes as she stood in front of her . It was a hatred so deep that it could compare to the hatred of those who were arch enemies .

“Mu Chenyan, even you have something that you're afraid of, right?”

Zhao Ruoxin grinned sheepishly as though they were old friends . She tapped on Mu Chenyan's shoulder and the strength that she used caused Mu Chenyan to lose her balance .

“I want to talk to you! Since you're waiting here, you should have something to say to me, right?” Mu Chenyan said .

Zhao Ruoxin laughed coldly and reached her hand out to fix her huge black curls . “Mu Chenyan, you're very smart indeed! What about him?”

As Zhao Ruoxin spoke, she looked at the loyal hound behind Mu Chenyan .

As figured, Tian Qi did not see Zhao Ruoxin as a threat . He straightened his body and waited for Mu Chenyan's command with an expressionless look on his face .

“Tian Qi will not interrupt us, he is just following along,”

Mu Chenyan said and took the lead .

This issue was between two women and it was none of Yuan Xuan's business .

Yuan Zhe left the hospital in a hurry and dialed a number on his phone along the way .

After a round of beeping, the man who answered the phone on the other end of the line sounded utterly bored .

“Mr . Yuan, you'll kill me by calling me so carelessly . Your cousin is not an ordinary person, he will find me very soon . ”

“Mu Chenwu, your lovely little sister hit me! I'll be counting it on you!”

Yuan Zhe was fuming with rage once again .

Mu Chenwu's voice was cold and there were a few hints of murderous intent, “I told you not to make a move on Mu Chenyan . ”

On the other end of the phone line, Mu Chenwu laughed . “Stop patronizing yourself! Mr . Yuan, if I remember correctly, we are working together . ”

Mu Chenwu then paused for a moment . It seemed like he was giving Yuan Zhe some time to think about it .

“You guys don't even think about coming clean from the old Xi Fan case . You guys can't escape the blame if they were to take revenge . Mu Chenyan and Zhao Ruoxin picked a secluded corner . Mu Chenyan ordered a cup of latte and Zhao Ruoxin order a cup of noni juice .

When the coffee arrived, the air was filled with its fresh aroma . However, Zhao Ruoxin frowned . “How is it suitable for a girl to drink something so bitter?”

Mu Chenyan smiled . “Miss Zhao, I've heard a deceased friend said something similar before!”

Mu Chenyan stared at Zhao Ruoxin's fair little face and continued calmly, “Do you want to know who is the deceased friend?”

Zhao Ruoxin's cold eyes did not waver slightly . This woman was indeed very calm . She frowned slightly and said jokingly, “Someone with the same taste as me?”

“Yes! Back when I was in the UK, I met Qinger a few times . She never drank something as bitter as coffee!”

“Miss Zhao, a wise person does not beat around the bush . I was struggling on the way here, should I call you Zhao Ruoxin or Shu Qinger?”

Mu Chenyan did not try to hide it any longer . “I've been to City C!”

Shu Qinger grunted and a sarcastic smile appeared at the corners of her lips . “I know that you went to City C, so I secretly reported it to Xia Tao . How was his huge gift that he gave you guys?”

“I should've known that it was you! You must have played a part in causing the accident in City C . Qinger, I didn't think that you would become so vicious!”

Mu Chenyan seemed to be restraining her attitude . She only used her furious gaze to warn Shu Qinger .

If it was not for Su Qingcheng, would she be able to sit here now and drink coffee?

Shu Qinger would definitely not let her return to Luo Hai!

“Vicious? Hahaha…” Shu Qinger laughed hysterically and her beautiful little face was suddenly filled with hatred!
