Mini World Of Endless Fun Awaits Chapter 10: Chapter 10: The Heavenly Debate

"Hmm?" Yuffie smiled and said, "I don't believe you."

"You will believe me soon enough." With that, the man from Xuan Nation turned around and walked towards the English gentleman who was staring at him from the side.

"Mister, you are…"

Without any further probing, the man from Xuan Nation leaned forward and said in a hushed tone, "Butler Walter…Be quiet, there are assassins disguised as guests in here."

The smile on the English gentleman's face remained as he took a step back and hid in a corner. The man from Xuan Nation took the hint as he followed tactfully and said, "At your twelve and one o'clock, there are two assassins who are disguised amongst the waiters. In the main hall on the other side, there are three more assassins, similarly disguised as waiters."

"There is also an assault rifle hidden in the main hall as well as thirteen more assassins who are disguised as guests. Be discreet," he continued.

The English gentleman did not seem to doubt the man from Xuan Nation at all. He said softly, "That waiter is certainly suspicious. His movements are rigid, and his right hand is unnaturally positioned at his pocket. He even has thick makeup on…They must have infiltrated this place beforehand."

"Their plan is to launch a surprise attack at 8 p.m. to kill Ms. Yuffie and Ms. Kallen, as well as all of the other guests here at the banquet today," the man from Xuan Nation said. "There's only 4 minutes left."

"All the guests who are attending the banquet today are closely connected to the Lamperouge family and they supposedly belong to the same community…" The English gentleman said in an unimpressed manner, "How could they have possibly resorted to hiring anonymous assassins?"

"By the way, who are you?"

"I am a hitman from Celestial Palace." The man from Xuan Nation smiled slightly and explained, "I am here with the purpose of protecting Ms. Kallen and Ms. Yuffie. Take note, we only have six minutes to spare."

"I will take care of the three assassins in the main hall, and when I make my move later, take down the two assassins in here immediately. I'll retrieve the assault rifle hidden below the banquet tables at once...Let's go now, we are running out of time."

Without even waiting for the English gentleman to respond, the man from Xuan Nation advanced towards the other side of the inner hall. He beckoned a black-shirted man over after contemplating for three seconds.

The man from Xuan Nation now stood in the pathway connecting the inner hall to the main banquet hall. Without any warning, he whipped out his silenced pistol, turned around and fired three shots.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Spot on.

At the same time, the English gentleman and the black-shirted men successfully took down the two assassins who were disguised as waiters and standing around in the inner hall.

As the gunshots reverberated through from the inner hall to the main banquet hall, the disguised assassins in the main hall also launched their attack. The rapid explosions of gunpowder were clear signals for them to begin their attack, although they did not know why their plan was brought forward and executed in advance.

Amidst the gun battle, an assassin who was positioned close to a table that was filled with a pyramid of wine glasses, bent down to reach for the assault rifle that they had hidden earlier. However, he soon learnt that he stood no chance against the man from Xuan Nation. The entire table quickly fell to the ground and the cascading wine glasses crashed down onto his head.

Unfazed, the man from Xuan Nation picked the assault rifle up from the ground. The assassins were the only ones left standing now as all the guests were now on the floor, after the assassins had begun shooting at them. Pulling out the safety pin and activating the fully automatic mode, the man from Xuan Nation unleashed a series of bullets at the assassins who were standing in the main hall.

Raking the entire hall with gunfire, the man from Xuan Nation miraculously managed to put a bullet through each one of the assassin's heads. All of them were killed even before the rifle ran out of bullets!

Ren Suo was watching the video stream on G site, Xuan Nation's largest social media platform which allowed one to meet people of the same gender and befriend them. When he reached this scene, the entire screen was filled with the same comments:

"Terrifying! Terrifying! Terrifying!"

The effect of using the fully automatic mode of the rifle was devastating. It was impossible that the Pacific Federation would release such a video as they would be bashed by the masses even if it were just a part of their historical epic film.

From that point forward, the video was mainly showing how the god-like man from Xuan Nation cleared the floors from the ninth to the first. Even the English gentleman and black-shirted men took a backseat as their faces turned white just from watching the Hitman put a bullet through a skull with each shot.

Boom!

The ninth floor exploded into pieces that were scattered all over the place. By this time, Yuffie, the man from Xuan Nation, and the other guests were already in the hall on the first floor.

Lying on the ground, the assassins also learnt that their partners in hiding had all been killed and that the police had ambushed the hall. They now planned to block the escaping guests on the first floor, while some of them entered through the windows from the second and third floors to surround the guests.

However, the man from Xuan Nation had such remarkable skill in handling the gun and tactical movements that any assassin who appeared before him was shot dead immediately. He was able to shoot and eliminate all 40 over assassins as he walked on and proceeded in his path. When one of the assassins was just about to release a fragmentation grenade into the stairway, he was instantly shot dead by the Xuan Nation man instead!

Boom!

Such astounding visual acuity and marksmanship, coupled with the sounds of police sirens and helicopter rotors nearby, was becoming too much for the assassins to handle. Other than a small minority of the assassins who were covering the back, the rest used all their means to escape, screaming for their lives as they ran out of the Blackthorn Tower.

"It's safe now." The man from Xuan Nation said as he put down his rifle and smiled. He lit a cigarette from his pocket, and smoke emerged from his nostrils.

"Miss, outside the building there are still…" said a voice from the crowd.

"It's fine."

The man from Xuan Nation spun around to see Yuffie Lamperouge emerge from the stairway, walking towards him. He smiled and said, "Do you believe me now?"

"I am eternally grateful for your help, distinguished sire." As Yuffie took a deep bow, the entire screen filled with bullet comments—

"Pause now to see."

"Just be sharp-eyed like me, I don't need to pause"

"She's so flat, what is there to see"

Speechless, Ren Suo turned off the bullet comments.

"I do not know why you helped us, but the Lamperouge family will definitely repay your kindness," Yuffie said. "Where do you come from, sire? Do you require our family's assistance in any way?"

"You have earned a friendship with us, the Lamperouge family, and in my family's name, I will fulfill any request you wish, even if it means having to give our all," Yuffie continued.

The English gentleman standing beside her opened his mouth slightly, preparing to speak, but said nothing eventually. Not only did Yuffie's words convey her gratitude towards the man from Xuan Nation, they were also representative of the sentiments of the guests who had just scraped past death's door. The Lamperouge family would definitely remember such a friend and benefactor who saved them from a close shave with death.

Yet, the man from Xuan Nation just smiled as he looked at Yuffie who was behind him. Waving his hand, he said, "Come over here."

Everyone turned around and looked towards the direction that he was pointing to. The young, princess-like Kallen Lamperouge, who was wearing a white pantyhose and hugging her teddy bear, scurried forward with her short legs, then hid behind her sister. Yuffie smiled and said, "Kallen, say thank you to this…uncle."

"Thank you, uncle," Kallen said in a clear and crisp voice.

The man from Xuan Nation stroked Kallen's hair and said, "Kallen...she is my only request."

Everyone's faces turned pale, including Yuffie, who had still been cheery just a moment earlier.

Even without turning on the bullet comments, Ren Suo could already guess what would appear in the comments—"Death sentence on the way", "Call the cops", or "The Hitman is quite humorous."

"Please protect her and take good care of her." The man from Xuan Nation smiled and said, "She is our hope."

The man from Xuan Nation pulled back his hand and took the cigarette out of his mouth. He said, "That's the end of my mission. It's time for me to take my leave. See you next time, if we ever meet again."

"Sire, there are many cops outside, if you go out now…" The English gentleman coaxed him to stay, but in the next instant, his eyes widened in shock, much like everyone else.

The man from Xuan Nation took a gentle leap as the cigarette left his hand and flew across the hall into the round dustbin. When the cigarette landed in the cigarette tray on top of the bin, the man from Xuan Nation began to fade away slowly.

When the police entered the building, they were just as astonished as the Lamperouges. Their eyes widened as they witnessed the man from Xuan Nation vanished into thin air, right in front of their eyes. Apart from the vapor that was still coming from the cigarette in the dustbin, there was absolutely no trace of the man from Xuan Nation!

The video stream ended abruptly. Ren Suo opened the discussion panel to see if there were any pinned messages, but there was only a top comment section. There was a string of red words at the top of the section which read:

"[The Hitman - The Bloody Banquet] PV has been aired today. Eagerly awaiting to meet everyone likely next year!"

This was just a typical comment, and yet it had a staggering…1234567…3 million likes!

G site has only hundreds of thousands to a million users. How could this video have gotten 3 million likes in less than 12 hours?

The second most popular discussion pointed out this fact:

"The Blackthorn Tower incident has become the talk of the town all around Fog City, and while it has yet to be reported in the newspaper, many witnesses, including me, have seen the ninth floor of the Blackthorn Tower explode last night. And I know one of the guests who were present at that time, she was my university professor! Stop acting like this is a movie PV!"

"Can't the website take the video down?"

"You can watch this video online at any local or overseas webpage. It's so realistic that it seems impossible, but at the same time it's so impossible that it seems realistic."

Ren Suo surfed the Internet and searched for information on other websites, after which he found that the same video was indeed everywhere. Some of the netizens had even found news articles of all the people in the video from the past, thus proving that the characters in the video were all real people. In fact, even the Blackthorn Tower exists in real life—black clouds of smoke were still billowing out of the ninth floor which had exploded into pieces.

At this juncture, Ren Suo could finally sense that this was indeed a real-life video.

Many people were enjoying the scenes in this unique and out-of-the-ordinary movie merrily. However, the difference was that movies are fictional, but this video was non-fictional, in which the scenes actually took place in real life! Having witnessed with their very own eyes, the assassins launch an attack as well as the appearance of the highly skilled who claimed to be a heavenly being from Xuan Nation and saved everyone all by himself, most of the people of Xuan Nation embraced it just like a regular movie.

However, things were different for Ren Suo. He knew that this was all just the outcome of his creations during the game!

He had stopped the assassins and saved as many of the distinguished guests as possible. This was all the result of him spending many hours trying over and over again in the game!

"The game, reality, the small world..." Ren Suo muttered softly under his breath as he went back into the living room. He stared at the strange round-shaped game console and pondered for a moment before picking up the controller. He then pressed a button and the game console came to life.
