Legend of the Maestro Chapter 6

The 2 mechas made a move almost at the same time. A light beam blinded him, Ye Zhong unconsciously used the titanium shield to protect his body and rolled over. Only after struggling to stand up that he realised he had just narrowly avoided the gunshot. The shield was completely useless as there was a big hole in it, and Ye Zhong's left rib was injured.

His opponent was stunned for a second, as they had expected the gunshot to have defeated him already. Ye Zhong tossed the shield away as it was of no use for him, then dashed towards his opponent, while utilizing all of the obstacles to hide himself.

His opponent was sure experienced, as they didn't even panic but deployed the Shadow Phoenix II's potential to its fullest. Ye Zhong without doubt was pierced through by the second gunshot.

After the nth time he had gotten killed off, his vices arose, and his eyes reddened. He demanded a rematch.

After another fail, Mu Shang slowly offered his help "There were 62 methods in avoiding the gunshot, would you like me to instruct you of one?"

Ye Zhong howled "Damn you Mu, why didn't you tell me earlier? You had seen me get killed off all of these times? You bastard, do you even have a conscience?"

Mu Shang was still chilled out, "According to human psychology, they tend to memorize their awful failed attempts more, between a range of 90-96. It can be converted into motivation at the probability of 52 -63%. I believe such has been ingrained in you deeply now."

Ye Zhong was so infuriated that he almost left his mecha to jump at Mu Shang "You … you … how dare you…."

However, Mu Shang just ignored his reactions and showed a short video clip. Heck knew where it had found that. Ye Zhong was about to retaliate, but he swallowed those words and watched the clip attentively instead. It was really short, not even of a 10 second duration. Ye Zhong didn't even have time to think, just opened his eyes widely so he didn't miss out on any details.

Mu Shang just ordered simply, "Watch carefully"

The mecha in the clip was also a Black Bird, but it was so unbelievably agile. It moved forward following the non-systematic wave pattern, it was such a smoothly flowing move that no one could have predicted where it could have moved next.

It was the first time that Ye Zhong had realized that this technique could have reached such heights.

Ye Zhong's blood was boiling.

Sun Xuelin couldn't help but admired his opponent called YC, even though YC and her weren't on the same level. However, times after times, regardless of how many times he was defeated, he always stood up. It wasn't something anyone could just do.

Easy success every single time had bored Sun Xueli. YC was definitely a newcomer, it was easy to tell from the mecha he was controlling. As she had been well trained since a young age by a master, defeating a beginner didn't mean much to her. It was dull even.

However, someone with such courage was worth helping, Sun Xuelin reassured herself. She wasn't even aware that an uncontrollable urge to find out more about that guy had emerged deep inside of her heart. So who would that YC be?

In a place faraway from the dump planet, Sun Xuelin bit her small lips, her beautiful eyes frowned, there was a pensive look on her gorgeous face.

This time, YC didn't head straight into the fight like he previously did. He just stood still instead.

Finally giving up? Sun Xuelin sighed with relief. Black Bird's functionality wasn't meant for avoiding the Shadow Phoenix's attack. Maybe she should have advised him to do basic training first.

Sun Xuelin was about to say something when YC's combat invitation appeared.

"Still not giving up yet? Your efforts will have been in vain. You should face the difference between our levels." Sun Xuelin thought to herself, but as her arm moved even faster than her thoughts, she had already accepted the invitation before she was even aware of it.

"Haha, alright then" Sun Xuelin laughed, revealing her snow white teeth.

Ye Zhong stared at the ground between the Black Bird and Shadow Phoenix, thinking about the clip he had just watched. He slightly bent his body forward, appearing in a rush.

As if the whole thing didn't have anything to do with Mu Shang, it elaborated serenely "the combination of this evading move has its full name as Chaos Arching Track Leap. The most important feature of it was the "Chaos".

Mu Shang was providing gold information, but stopped abruptly there without any further words. This irritated Ye Zhong so much but he couldn't do anything but grinded his teeth. Ok, let's think. What could "Chaos" mean?

"Chaos … chaos … chaos …" Ye Zhong muttered non-stop.

However, time didn't wait for anyone. While Ye Zhong hadn't made sense of "Chaos" real meaning, his opponent already had accepted his invitation.

Ye Zhong emptied his head. Nobody had time for thinking what "Chaos" could be. The only thing in his mind was the video clip. It was like an ocean wave orbiting without smoke or steam.

After several times of using the Black Bird, Ye Zhong went from knowing only the theoretical parameters of it to grasping its functionality. That also dawned on him how difficult it could have been to move with such chaotic pattern. Black Bird's processing unit was not advanced enough to handle such complicated calculations, thus it was all depended upon Ye Zhong's finesse.

Nevertheless, his silver lining was the fact that he could hand-control the mecha very well, thanks to Wen Ni. Furthermore, Wen Ni's processing unit was even worse than that of the Black Bird.

Ye Zhong took a deep breath, and every gulp was as if he was cranking a forge blower.

"Tick!" in the blink of an eye, his hands moved. Black Bird was like an arrow firing from the bow, but on a zigzagging path instead of a straight line.

At the same time, there was a big gunshot crater where he had just stood.

Ye Zhong ignored everything, staring at the ground between the two mechas. His blood was as if it had just fell into the flaming liquid iron. His head was burning up, but serene at the same time. Both of Ye Zhong's arms moved at a maddening speed, without even a pause.

Black Bird remained at its top speed.

Ye Zhong's arms got even faster, and eventually, uncertain whether his arms were moving so fast that the steam that was coming out or the movement itself produced such an illusion.

Ye Zhong was too focused to notice such details.

Sun Xuelin still aimed like that of before, and obviously missed him! She wasn't bothered by it much, since YC could have avoided it a few times like that of before, but he would always end up defeated.

However, there was something not right this time …
