Book 2 Chapter 8.2 – A Nice Surprise

Li Yang stood upon the peak of a villa, and immediately activated the Breath Restraint Technique as his eyes gazed towards the small alley way where the fight had just taken place.

“Great Marquis, the people who passed away here are members of the Church! A white clothed priest and a special Deacon!” A man in a black suit respectfully spoke to the black-clad man next to him.

When the Great Marquis heard this, he muttered to himself for a bit before saying, “The special Deacon is a fifth-rank expert, and the white clothed priest is a third rank. However, the special Deacon seemed to have had been beheaded without the slightest bit of resistance, so it seems that the opponent must be sixth rank. However, I am familiar with all the experts between the werewolves and our Blood Clan in New York, yet why haven’t I detected any of their scents? Who was exactly that saved the two young werewolves?”

“Richard, you dare kill two of my Church’s men, heng, then you should suffer righteous justice!” Following a grim voice, a ray of dazzling white radiance shot towards the Great Marquis.

The Great Marquis moved his body, and immediately, there was only an afterimage. He instantly avoided the white ray of light.

The Great Marquis saw a blonde male walk out from within the alley depths, and his expression immediately changed. “Robert, the golden holy warrior!’ Great Marquis Richard could not have possibly known that the number one expert from the Church would show up here. “Go!” The Great Marquis shouted, and the vampire Earl immediately ran into the distance.

Robert coldly snorted. Although vampires weren’t that powerful, their speeds could still look down upon the underground world in disdain. As for the vampires escaping, he really did feel rather powerless.

“Holy Lance of Light!” Robert threw out the dazzling white lance, and like a ray of lightning, it shot out. Its target — the running vampire Earl.
