Hearing this, Song Rujing was a bit unhappy but obediently came back. Though she was a bit willful, she knew what was proper. This was why no one disliked her.

They were now near the target location, and Ling Bo Re's expression subconsciously became heavy. They were surrounded by a jungle, and the four of them picked a high ground to rest on.

“Tonight, me and Jiuge will take turns guarding us. You two can rest. If anything happens, don't panic, just follow our plan,” Song Yuansheng said earnestly while looking at the other three.

The other three naturally had no objections, then they put away their treasures. The Song siblings changed out of their daoist robes into more casual pink and black robes.

At this moment, the sky gradually darkened and it was about to become night. After tonight, they would face unknown danger. Zhao Jiuge felt his palms become a little sweaty.

Song Rujing was already impatiently playing around. They were surrounded by a jungle with plenty of spirit herbs and fruits. They were close to the Barbarian Forest, so these things were abundant, but they weren't very precious. The little girl was happily gathering them. After all, the month and half trip had made her very bored.

Hearing the cold, familiar voice, Zhao Jiuge didn't retreat but slowly arrived beside Ling Bo Re. He took off his boots and copied Ling Bo Re, placing his feet inside the clear river.

Feeling Zhao Jiuge sitting down, she smelled the mascline scent coming from his body. Ling Bo Re felt like the atmosphere was a bit strange and wanted to leave. However, from the corner of her eye, she saw an expression she had never seen from him before. After hesitating a bit, she didn't move.

Zhao Jiuge was sitting beside Ling Bo Re. He looked at the tender, white feet in the river and smelled the fragrance from her body. Zhao Jiuge felt his heart ripple. He was now able to sit so close to the figure he had always dreamed of.

Seeing Zhao Jiuge sitting there in a trance, Ling Bo Re revealed an unhappy expression. She didn't like such an ambiguous atmosphere, not to mention she was sitting next to a man. She only stayed because she thought he had something to say.
