After studying the third layer of the sword art, Zhao Jiuge opened his eyes. After more than a month, he had grown accustomed to cultivating like this.

The sunlight from the rising sun shined down on Elder Waning Moon's face, making it difficult to clearly see her expression.

Zhao Jiuge was somewhat surprised. He didn't think Master Moon could create her own spell. What he didn't know was that spells were all created by people. Just like how the Mysterious Heaven Sword Sect was created by Old Man Mysterious Heaven.

Elder Waning Moon was in the middle of explaining Moon Dance, Star Riving when her expression suddenly tightened. She frowned, and a moment later, she pursed her lips. “Jiuge, I have to go; otherwise, it will be too late. Senior Brother and them are urging me. They are waiting. I'll put the rest of Moon Dance, Star Rivering into a jade tube and then demonstrate it for you once. If there is anything you don't understand, you can ask me when I return.”

Elder Waning Moon took a step forward and raised the sword into the air. Afterward, something even more shocking occurred.

The sword energy coiled around the sword scattered in all directions. The sword shone brightly like a river of stars was erupting from it.

Elder Wang Moon said, “This is the single attack, Moon Dance Style.”

After her voice echoed, another drastic change occurred.

After that bright, silver light appeared, it flew toward a mountain in the distance. The silver light split into countless smaller rays of sword energy. Each ray of sword energy was dazzling and rained down like a river of stars falling.

And at this moment, Elder Waning Moon's voice echoed once more. “This is the group attack, Star River.”

Zhao Jiuge's pupils shrank when a thunderous rumble came from the nameless mountain in the distance. The vegetation on the mountain was crushed by the rain of sword energy and a large ravine appeared. This ravine was created by the sword energy.

Just one attack had caused such a great commotion. Zhao Jiuge knew that Master Moon was suppressing her power to not cause too big of a commotion. Her full strength might destroy the entire Mysterious Heaven Mountain Range.

“Jiuge, did you see clearly?” Elder Waning Moon's slightly hasty voice echoed.

Zhao Jiuge nodded and said, “I got a general understanding. I'll learn the rest from the jade tube, and if there is anything I don't understand, I'll ask Master Moon once you return.”

Although Zhao Jiuge said this, he understood that this matter couldn't be small for someone like Master Moon to be called upon. He was a bit unwilling to separate from Master Moon, but he wasn't going to delay her.

After seeing the power of this spell, Zhao Jiuge was very happy. This was Master Moon's personal spell, so he believed that no one else had learned it. When he meets Master Moon again, he had to let her see that he had become proficient in this spell.

Zhao Jiuge looked at Elder Waning Moon and said, “Master Moon, if you're busy, you should go now. I'll cultivate properly so that I don't let you down.” 

Elder Waning Moon nodded and said, “I'll take you back to the Mysterious Heaven Temple and then leave. I originally intended for you to stay three months, but this matter came very suddenly. There are too many things I haven't taught you, but I'll tell you when I return.”

After she finished speaking, Zhao Jiuge only felt the scenery change and heard the howling of the wind. After just a few breaths of time, he found himself back at the entrance of the main hall of the Mysterious Heaven Temple.

Elder Waning Moon looked at Zhao Jiuge with worry in her eyes. “Jiuge, when you go out to experience the world, you have to be careful. I'm afraid I won't be back any time soon. You have to preserve those three sword energy imprints well. I believe they will save you from dangerous situations.”

Zhao Jiuge nodded seriously. Elder Waning Moon no longer said more and just took a long look at him. Then light surrounded her body and then she disappeared without a trace.

Feeling the short spirit force fluctuations, Jian Wuxian had a gloomy expression as he walked out with Fu Hongling, Wu Tianshan, and Sha Sha. However, when he came out, Elder Waning Moon had already disappeared. She hadn't even greeted Jian Wuxian.

Zhao Jiuge saw them coming out. The first thing he saw was his senior sister Fu Hongling faintly smiling at him. Seeing Fu Hongling, Zhao Jiuge guessed that she had just returned. 

The next moment, Zhao Jiuge looked at Jian Wuxian's gloomy face. He was looking at where Master Moon disappeared.

Seeing this, Zhao Jiuge knew that his teacher must have known ahead of time, or else he wouldn't remain silent like this.

Jian Wuxian was absent-minded and symbolically asked Zhao Jiuge, “Jiuge, what did you learn at Elder Waning Moon's place after spending more than a month there?” 

Zhao Jiuge honestly and respectfully said, “I have thoroughly comprehended the second layer, Autumn Wind. I'm still studying the rest.”

Jian Wuxian nodded and said, “That's good. During this time, cultivate by yourself and do what you need to do. You can go to Elder Li and learn with the other inner sect disciples. Recently, something happened in the sect, and I'm afraid I won't have time to take care of you. Your senior sisters Fu Hongling and Sha Sha will be responsible for you. After Jian Wuxian finished speaking, he said a few words to Sha Sha and Fu Hongling before disappearing. From the looks of it, he was heading toward the same direction as Elder Waning Moon.

Seeing his teacher and Elder Waning Moon's serious expressions, Zhao Jiuge felt tense. Something big must have happened in the sect.

Sha Sha couldn't be bothered worrying about all these things. She swayed her two lovely pigtails and proudly said, “During this time, I, your senior sister, will teach you.”

Hearing this, Zhao Jiuge, who was feeling a bit depressed, didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Even the corner of Fu Hongling's mouth curved up into a smile.

In the blink of an eye, Zhao Jiuge, Fu Honling, and Sha Sha were the only ones left.

Zhao Jiuge's brows were locked as he asked Fu Hongling, “Senior Sister, do you know if anything big happened in the sect? Why are Teacher and Elder Waning Moon so solemn? With their statuses and mental strength, ordinary things shouldn't affect them.”

Hearing Zhao Jiuge's question, Fu Hongling turned her gaze from Wu Tianshan to Zhao Jiuge. Sha Sha also curiously waited for Fu Hongling's answer.
