Gangland Fantasy 28 Naga's Supreme Prestige

Someone knocked on the door. Naga Opened it.

"Head servant, our young lord said that you will leave now." A young man told him. He's one of the servants, just 2 years older than Naga.

"Thank you." Naga smiled.

He saw that Naga is only wearing simple clothing. It's clean but these clothes are only for commoners.

"Head servant, I heard that the city lord sent personal invitation to you. Are... you not planning to wear something special?" The boy asked.

"No. It's not like the nobles and officials will be friendly to me if I wear fancy clothes." Naga smiled.

He went to the manor and saw a black carriage at the gate. Lord Willard is inside. One of their new guards will drive the carriage.

He went inside and Lord Willard smiled at him.

"How are you?" Lord Willard asked.

"Better than before." Naga smiled.

"Good. Let's go now." Lord Willard said and commanded.

"As you wish, young lord." the guard said.

The City Lord's mansion is huge but seems archaic. Naga thought that his mansion in the Magnus island is better.

Inside, they saw a lot of people. Many greeted Lord Willard. For the past week, many sent gifts to their manor. The nobles and officials wanted to be this young lord's friend.

She saw a woman approaching them. Lord Willard looked at her smiled. "City Lord."

The woman lightly bowed. "Lord Willard."

She looked at Naga. "Are you Naga?"

He looked at her. She really looks like Bella but more mature and domineering.

"Yes. I am. This servant pay respect to the great city lord." Naga bowed.

She smiled at him. "A servant..."

"Naga, thank you for saving my sister." She said.

"I'm glad that the young miss is fine." He responded and bowed.

The city lord observed him carefully and was shocked. This kid's arcane power is powerful. She felt that even though he's only an Arcane Expert, he can actually beat some Arcane Masters. He will break through anytime soon as well.

More importantly, he has another mana reserve which is more powerful than his arcane if you observe him carefully. With this, even some Arcane Lord might not stand a chance. All of this without considering his martial prowess. She can feel that this kid is an expert warrior too.

He can't totally hide it from any observing experts for now but he has great control over magic. Also, no experts will actually waste time in observing a servant. They will most probably focus their attention to the young lord. And, she knows that it will be those experts' down fall. The city lord believed that when he becomes an Arcane Master, he will be able to hide it better.

"City Lord?" Naga felt discomfort. This woman is carefully observing him.

She felt shame. "Sorry. Please don't feel offended."

"That's fine." Naga smiled. "Master. City Lord. Please excuse me. I will try the food."

"Sure, please enjoy yourself." The city lord said.

She looked at the back of the leaving Naga. This kid is too confident and doesn't care about anyone here.

"Lord Willard. He can't be just a servant." She said.

"I know that you're serious in helping the city and your House of Iron Crow is doing this in good faith. I will not ask any other secrets but please tell me... he is not your servant, right?" She's actually not expecting any answer but...

"Yes... Lord Naga is too great just to be a servant." Lord Willard smiled and looked at Naga.

He knows that the city lord truly trusted him and it is good for the city lord to know some truth to their situation.

"Lord Naga..." The city lord was speechless. She shouldn't have said that she'll not ask any secrets again. She knew that Lord Willard told him this because he wanted her to know some truth.

To be called a fellow lord by Lord Willard, she knows that Naga's prestige is also great. It can't be challenged by just anyone. Now, she's sure that the powerful magic they felt before came from Naga.

"I see." The city lord calmed herself and smiled.

They continue talking about the store opening and other things.

While Naga is getting his food, someone called him.

"Hey."

He turned around and saw Bella.

"Young miss." Naga bowed.

"Don't do that. I'm not the city lord. Also, this party is for everyone. This hall will treat all of us fairly, do you think so?" She said and smiled.

"Good to know. Then, I'll eat until I can't walk anymore. The hall won't mind me, right?" Naga smiled and asked.

Bella lightly laughed. This young man is really interesting.

"I heard that your shop will open in two days so are you going there?" She asked.

Naga looked at him and shake his head. "No. As a servant, I'm not needed."

"I see." She was disappointed.

"Can I visit you at the Iron Crow Manor?" Bella asked.

"Sure. However, people may think differently." Naga smiled.

She smiled back at Naga. "Don't mind them."

"Bella." Someone called her.

"Please excuse me for now, Naga."

"Oh, sure. It's fine." Naga responded.

Bella was somehow disappointed that Naga seems not to care.

Naga was satisfied with the food and decided to go to the garden for a walk. The night view here is beautiful too.

He's walking toward the garden's fountain when suddenly, two young men blocked his path.

"Hey, slave. Don't be so friendly to Bella." A young blond man looked down on him.

"I see. Sure." Naga replied and started walking again.

Someone grabbed his shoulder. It was the other guy. A chubby man with red hair.

Naga smiled and turned around. 'Let me try something.'

He grabbed the man's hand then pushed him down.

"What?" Naga asked.

The man was shocked so he stepped back instead. "Yy... you!"

The other man tried to punch him but he dodged and because of that the man fell down to the ground.

"What do you want? You want to bully me because I am a servant?" Naga asked.

Both young men looked at him furiously.

"Yes, I'm a servant. However, I am serving the young lord of the House Of Iron Crow."

"Compared to our great house, what's your worth?" Naga said smiling.

"Yyou.. I am th..." The man was about to say something but Naga interrupted.

"Son of some noble or rich family, right? Naga asked.

"Hahaha. People like you are the reason why this city went down hill. Now, I'll ask you again. What's your worth?" Naga asked again while shaking his head.

"How much can you bet that my young lord will not retaliate to your small noble families if I told him that you ruin his prestige?"

"Wh.. what? We are not doing anything here." The young men were afraid. They didn't expect it to turn this way.

'So using others name or prestige is quite fun. I remembered those gangsters from my previous life always bragging about their boss or backers.' Naga thought. He's actually just doing this for fun.

"You're ruining his prestige by blocking my path. I am a member of his great house, you see?" Naga smiled.

"Leave and don't ruin my night. Or else, I will report this to my young lord." Naga told them.

Both young men leave immediately. They were really scared. Both of them remembered what happened previously. Many experts tried to challenge the great house but all of them died.
