This was Feng Ming’s first time being in a situation where he had to make such an important decision that would affect so many people. In addition, he was also concerned of offending Dan Lin’s prince.

Pointing at one of the clauses, he asked, “Right here it says that, ‘for the sake of sincerity and security, each side will dispatch a long-term emissary.’ What does it mean by the candidate ‘must have certain skills and characteristics?’”

Kong Liu understood what he was concerned about. With composure, he answered, “The emissary will naturally not be someone with a lot of power and influence like Duke Ming or Xi Lei’s king. As long as the emissary is one of your subordinates, a simple high-ranking military officer who can navigate Dan Lin’s strait will do. And since the sea is a harsh place, it is better if he is young and has a decent amount of physical strength. It would also be a bonus if he is good at fighting with swords.”

Both Feng Ming and Rong thought the same thing at once…

He Di tried to calm down his heart that was throbbing like mad and attempted to regulate his breath. He was anything but calm, but outwardly, his face remained entirely indifferent. “Zi Yan? This name sounds familiar. En, I am sure I have heard of him.”

Feng Ming eagerly asked, “Have you heard any news of him, Prince?”

“I heard he and the Dan Lin pirates had a confrontation where he managed to escape. I believe he should be fine?”

He Di’s words were said in a casual manner, purposely giving the impression that he just remembered bits of info. He continues to talk to Feng Ming,

“It appears this person is rather familiar with Dan Lin’s straits. Who would have thought he was one of Duke Ming’s subordinates? I say, the emissary we need should be exactly like this Zi Yan, someone who is familiar with the waters of our territory. I might as well request him to be the emissary, how about it?”

TN : He Di is so cunning, right! Too bad for Zi Yan but all fair in love..ha ha..
