Demon King/The Parting of the Orchid and Cang Chapter 18.2

[She] only saw the right hand of Dong Fang Qing Cang’s hand transformed into a claw and the fingernails shone with a cold ray. It was about to grab the female general’s back. Little Orchid was startled and pulled back Dong Fang Qing Cang’s right hand. She squeezed it tightly into his chest, “At this time you want to kill her?”

Dong Fang Qing Cang obviously was impatient, “Soon enough she has to die. Isn’t ben zuo helping her by freeing her a good thing?”

“Nonetheless early or late she will die. You waiting a few days for her isn’t bad!” Little Orchid said, “If she was Xie Wanqing, then will not live past a few days. Anyway, Shuo Feng sword is not finished yet, you wait here.”

Dong Fang Qing Cang’s face was unhappy, “Let go.”

“Won’t let go.”   Gaaaaaaaahhhhkdghdkhdhkdh

“Causing another mess and ben zuo will make you drink drug X.”

Little Orchid was being foolish and then said, “If you gave it for me to drink then I will find that male.”

Dong Fang Qing Cang’s entire body was billowing with hostile energy.

“Who’s there?” The armored-wearing female suddenly stood up and took out the sword from the sheath. She stared toward the direction of Dong Fang Qing Cang.

Little Orchid was startled and almost believed the female really saw Dong Fang Qing Cang. But she soon found out that the female merely looked in the direction of Dong Fang Qing Cang and cannot really see his body form.

Thinking like so was of course, how can a mortal see the hiding spell of mo zun, but being able to feel hostile energy was no easy matter. This female was unordinary… Little Orchid furrowed her brows and the candlelight flickered. She suddenly felt that the figure of the female was rather familiar, but did not remember when [they’ve] met.

The atmosphere was quiet for a bit. The ill male from behind pulled on her hand and the female turned around. She smiled with him and slowly said, “It’s because I was too cautious.” Recognizing the lip outline, the male silently pardoned her and held her hands while smiling gently.    Translations by Chocolate Cosmos

The female put the sword back and sat next to the male for a while. When Little Orchid thought they would remained sitting and silently looking at each other for the entire night, the female suddenly lowered head, “In a few days the people moment of approach will be quite torrential. As for my side that are guarding, [they] have become so weary…Perhaps cannot withstand much longer.”

She said a lot and very quickly. The male cannot read the outlines of her, but he was not in a rush. He was smiling gently at her because the female was also smiling gently. The steadfast eyes looked at him as if speaking loving words instead of farewells.

“The Xie family owes the late emperor. Even if it was a war death, I cannot surrender to the rebels. Today will go and I will likely not return.” She gently stroked the outlines of the eyes, tip of the nose, cheeks, and lips’ edge of the male, “I know, without me you will still drink medicine. Will see live wonderfully and does not dwell in the past. Will not throw away yourself to despair, right?”

The last two words she said slowly and clearly. The male nodded.

She was silent for a bit and then hugged the male. She rubbed the head against the hollow neck for a while then let go, “Within the army there are still matters. I will leave then.”

She left the room and Dong Fang Qing Cang was about to follow. Little Orchid turned around to glance at the male in the room. After the female left, it see

med that he has depleted all his strength and wearily closed eyes. The breathing weakened and appeared to be almost dying.

Little Orchid cannot bear to, but thinking again, this is the matter of mortals and she cannot intervene.

“You sympathize with them?” Dong Fang Qing Cang spoke.

His eyes peered toward the dresser mirror on the shelf. In the mirror appeared two faces, one is his and the other was Little Orchid.

Little Orchid in the mirror was lowering head and rarely had a moment of silence, “Master said, sickness, aging, and death are through the cycle of reincarnation. The previous lifetime has a reason and then next life has a result. The matters of the world has nothing to sympathize with or not.”

Dong Fang Qing Cang mocked, “But you still sympathize with them.” The tone was rather assertive.

Little Orchid was quiet.

“If you did not prevented ben zuo from killing her, ben zuo can let the two of them die happily together for a bit.”

Little Orchid looked up and the shiny eyes gazed at Dong Fang Qing Cang’s arrogant expression in the mirror. She pretended to worry for him, “But doing so will violate the Heaven law…”  somebody once told me 

Dong Fang Qing Cang appeared to be condescending and said a sentence that Little Orchid wanted to hear, “Ben zuo has already broken a plethora of Heaven laws and lacks nothing like this matter.”

Thus Little Orchid was jubilated, “I prevented you, but cannot prevent enough. Master will not fault me.”

Dong Fang Qing Cang sneered.

Little Orchid was joyful. In the mirror, she used the face to rub against Dong Fang Qing Cang’s cheek, “Big devil, you still have a conscience.”

In actuality, after being rubbed on the face by Little Orchid, Dong Fang Qing Cang only saw but cannot feel anything. Yet, looking at Little Orchid rubbing against his cheek while laughing giddily, Dong Fang Qing Cang was suddenly in a daze. He turned the head and did not look at the two shadows in the mirror anymore, “Do not attempt to prevent ben zuo from taking action. If not, then after you leave ben zuo’s body, ben zuo will definitely cause your soul to disperse.”

Reminded of this, Little Orchid became deeply worried and sick at heart, but after pondering on Dong Fang Qing Cang’s words, she blinked and asked, “Saying so, if I do not prevent you from taking action, later on I leave this body, you won’t kill me, right?”

Dong Fang Qing Cang snorted and did not respond.
