Beast Mutation 11 Ch. 9 Academy

After coming out of the room, Karol saw Robert standing at the main gate with two people who were his mother and father.

"Hello, Uncle Sean and Aunty Joana." Karol said, bowing. Both of them sigh in relief, seeing that Karol's condition is alright as both of them heard about today's incident from Robert.

"We have heard from Robert that you need ten gold to buy the medicine for your mother." Joana said, looking towards Karol. "Yes, aunty, you are right." Karol replied with a questioning gaze as he didn't understand why did she say that.

Seeing Karol's reaction, Joana understands his queries and said, "As you are like our son, we have decided to contribute five gold for your mother's medicine." with a warm smile.

Hearing that Karol was surprised as five gold was a massive amount for Robert's family as their family status was the same as them. "Thank you, uncle and aunty; I will be sure to repay this debt." He said with a big smile.

Seeing that both of them smile and aunty Joana said, "You are just like our son, and your mother is like my sister, so you don't need to say thanks."

"Who is outside Karol" Karen's voice was heard as they were talking. All of them enter the room, hearing that voice.

Karen was surprised to see that it was Robert's family who has come here at this time."Sorry I couldn't welcome you all." Karen said with a sad voice.

Seeing her in this condition, Joana cried and held Karen's hand and started consoling her. Seeing this scene, all males decided not to interrupt them and get out of the room.

"So kiddos, what are your plans?" Sean asked, looking at both of them as he wanted to know what they wanted to do in their future so he could help them.

"I am planning to try the entrance exam of Berth academy that is two months from now," Robert said with a determined voice."And what about you, Karol?" Sean asked this time, looking towards Karol.

"First, I will try to make some money to heal my mother this month, and next month I will travel to the birth city for the academy entrance exam." Karol said with a determined face.

Hearing Sean was happy that both of them have their future planned for now, and both of them will be at a place where they can help each other.

"I wish the Academies were also at our times." Sean said with a depressed voice. Karol knew why his uncle was saying that as he heard from his mother about how academics come into being.

So that's how academy came into being 13 years ago. But the people who past their teens couldn't join the academy as only teens were allowed to enter the academy. So this why most people who are at peasant rank near their thirty or above aren't at high rank.

"Karol can you sure to take care of my idiot son as he doesn't provoke anyone." Sean said to Karol.

"What are you talking about, dad? I am not an idiot." Robert pouted. Seeing his reaction, both of them laugh.

After a while, Joana came out of the room with red eyes and said," Honey, I am thinking of staying with Karen here tonight, okay." Joana said, looking at Sean."Okay, honey." Sean said as he knew he couldn't change her decisions.

"Why don't you all eat here as I had made too much food in the afternoon." Karen's voice was heard. Hearing that, Joana replied," Sure, why not."

After a while, Joana served the food to all three males and took her and Karen food in Karen's room. As she couldn't eat her food by herself as she needs someone help to eat food.

After eating the food, Robert and Sean went out to their home, and Joana was sleeping with Karen as she could help her immediately if she needs any help.

Instead of sleeping, Karol was sitting, and there was a book in front of him titled 'Mana Formation.' He picked up the book and started reading the books, and after 1 hour, he remembered every content of the book.

After closing the book, he started to put his mind to focus on his mana gland.
