Battling Records of the Chosen One Chapter 19: Nirvana and Rebirth

The cool and cold voice announced again while Lin Xun was still wondering about it, "Congratulations! Will you continue to do the next test?"

Lin Xun came to his sense then. Looking at the Green-cloud Path to that Gate to Heaven, he refused by shaking his head. 

Spirit Refining, the first test of the Green-cloud Path, assessed one's ability to master spiritual tattoos. After passing it smoothly, Lin Xun got Meditating Magic. 

There were still eight tests left. Only by passing them all, could he arrive at the Gate to Heaven. However, Lin Xun was not sure he could pass them altogether once. 

"Seeker, the next opening time of the Gate to Heaven will be three months later, and the second test is Body Refining."  

That cool and cold voice kept speaking emotionlessly, with no trace back to where it came from. 

"There will be 108 opportunities to pass all tests. If you fail, the Heaven-accessing Place will be closed again and only be unlocked one thousand years later by chance. Please be well-prepared."

Faster than Lin Xun could respond, when the voice faded away, he lost his consciousness in an immense darkness with a large boom.

There was a burst of pressing breaths coming out of Lin Xun's cottage under the setting sun. 

Like a nearly drowning man who was just salvaged, Lin Xun was saturated with cold sweat, totally exhausted. 

However, his eyes were extremely bright. 

Recalling what he had experienced just now, Lin Xun could not make sure that was real until he found the Meditating Magic was imprinted on his mind.

The mysterious bloody gate in his mind was the Gate to Heaven!

The occult space, the straight Green-cloud Path, and that cool and cold voice all belonged to the Heaven-accessing Place!

Now Lin Xun could affirm the Heaven-accessing Place was the secret Master Lu failed to unveil. Finally, he got a chance to defy the God and change his fate!

Thinking of that, Lin Xun was way too emotional – With his spiritual vein ripped away since young and becoming a useless person who nearly lost the chance to cultivate, Lin Xun was depressed although he was an optimistic person. It was just a long nightmare!

However, now everything changed and he found a way out!

"Thanks a lot, Master Lu."

Taking a deep breath in, Lin Xun appreciated Master Lu in the heart. With no idea whether Master Lu was alive or not, Lin Xun felt grateful as well as sad. 

Soon, Lin Xun frowned because of the stink he emitted. Only until now did he realize that his whole body was covered by a layer of filthy and dark sweat. 

So he walked to the well in the yard to clean himself, after which he felt totally refreshed. Every inch of his skin was then glowing with boundless energy. 

Returning to his room, Lin Xun scanned his body again and found instantly that his skin and membranes, muscles and bones, blood and flesh, as well as organs were full of vigor. His weak body was refined.

Wanting to confirm something, Lin Xun shook his fist in a bow stance. A blow of FTSH (flames to scorch the heaven) was concise but fierce enough to break the air, making a heavy boom with his mortal body!

"The strength I own is really transformed."

Full of pleasure, Lin Xun could tell the change must have close relationship with the Heaven-accessing Place. 

The road to cultivation could not be separated with the refining of body and mind. People with weak body could not make great achievement in the cultivation even they could cultivate. The reason was simple – A weak body could not hold too much spiritual energy. 

Generally, practitioners would put in many efforts to refine their body at the beginning of cultivation in order to tamp the foundation. 

Practitioners from a rich or powerful family would even be soaked in a liquid medicine made by various panaceas since born. After growing up, they would be taught of body refining manuals to polish membranes, bones, skins, muscles, inner organs, Qi and blood to improve and refine their body. 

All this was for cultivation. 

Who could be regarded as the strong?

Those who could go further and higher on the road of cultivation were the strong!

All believed in that. 

However, because of the wounded Heart Vessel and Four Acupoints since childhood, Lin Xun was so weak even though he had taken in many spiritual medicines. 

Well, the condition was changed now. For the first time in his life, Lin Xun felt his body was strong and powerful. With ecstasy in his heart, Lin Xun sat in the meditation position and began to inspect his whole body.

Wisps of spiritual energy traveled around the meridians like flowing streams, revolving in his whole body.

Lin Xun got shocked quickly because he found there was something abnormal – His spiritual energy within seemed to decrease by half!

How could it happen?

Lin Xun frowned and thought for a while. Having reached the second level, Inner Strong, of Martial Realm, he was full of spiritual energy inside. If his Heart Vessel and Four Acupoints were not injured, he would have reached the third level, Viscera Opening, of Martial Realm two years ago.

Even he had been stuck in the second level for two years, his spiritual energy was so refined and sufficient that many practitioners at the same level would envy him. That was Lin Xun's advantage.

However, now his spiritual energy decreased by half!

Without hesitation, Lin Xun began to cultivate Spirit-concentrating Manual, a gentle manual Master Lu had taught him which emphasized one should be true to his primordial spirit, be pure and firm, to adjust himself. 

During the cultivation, Lin Xun found out the root of the decreased spiritual energy – Heart Vessel and Four Acupoints. 

When the spiritual energy got through the Heart Vessel and Four Acupoints that would turn into four spiritual vortexes then, the energy would be refined separately in each vortex. 

So although the amount decreased after refining, the spiritual energy was actually condensed and the quality was upgraded virtually. 

If there was only one refinement, the spiritual energy would not lose in a large amount. However, there were four vortexes in Lin Xun's Heart Vessel and Four Acupoints, so one round revolving of spiritual energy meant four times of refinements. 

It was not hard to tell the quality of his spiritual energy was enhanced remarkably after refining. 

Metaphorically speaking, if the spiritual energy in Lin Xun's body was a piece of stubborn iron, after being thoroughly tempered in a smelting furnace, it would turn into a hard-edged treasured sword!

"No wonder my spiritual energy is less – It has been refined four times and the quality has been increased four times."

All shocks turned into excitement. Lin Xun knew it clearly that the purer the spiritual energy was, the higher the quality would be, then the power would also be increased. 

"I don't need to worry about the wound of the Heart Vessel and Four Acupoints anymore from now on when cultivating."

Lin Xun was beyond happy with clear and bright eyes. 

This was a true blessing in disguise. Although his Spiritual Vein in the Heart Vessel and Four Acupoints was ripped away, leaving him irreparable wounds and making him hard to cultivate, now the wounds turned into four spiritual vortexes, which would benefit his further cultivation tremendously. 

Even Lin Xun was surprised and felt it unbelievable. 

After a long time, Lin Xun regained his calmness and realized he was totally reborn.

So many unimaginable things happened since last night. 

Firstly, the old scroll and inscribing pen triggered a striking scene, showing Lin Xun an extraordinary battle, in which that imposing figure destroyed the heaven and earth and breached the Gate of Stars. Though he sighed "Fate is not with me", his elegant demeanor shocked and impressed Lin Xun deeply. 

Until then, Lin Xun realized the old scroll and the inscribing pen belonged to that man.

After then, the dark grey inscribing pen underwent sudden changes and drew his blood to outline weird patterns, leaving him in a coma. 

However, after waking up, without any trails of that old scroll and the dark grey inscribing pen, there was a Gate to Heaven in his mind.

From then on, a series of changes occurred…

Four spiritual vortexes were formed in the Heart Vessel and Four Acupoints, solving Lin Xun's cultivation trouble caused by the wound because of the taken Spiritual Vein. His cultivation would not be restrained anymore. 

Then, Lin Xun broke into the Heaven-accessing Place, passing the first test, Spirit Refining, of the Green-cloud Path and inheriting Meditating Magic by mastering Flowing-light Spiritual Tattoo.

After he returned, his weak body was refined and became strong and full of vigor. That was a brand-new transformation. 

Out of expectation, all of this just happened!

However, no matter how incredible it seemed, Lin Xun knew one thing for sure, he should give the credit to Mater Lu. 

"Defy the God, change fate, rebirth and nirvana…The one who ripped away my Spiritual Vein would never believe that infant is still alive."

Lin Xun's eyes became cold and deep. 

Took his Spiritual Vein away, leaving him nearly dead with no idea who his father and mother were…how could Lin Xun forget the deadly hatred?

Master Lu ever mentioned the one who took away his Spiritual Vein was in Ziyao Empire. 

And now, he was back and ready to revenge!
