Abyss Domination Vol Chapter 10

Within two days time.

The killing in the Cross Lanes began to subside, Sauron originally thought this would disturb the Amber City guards, and also made plans to escape if it did, but it seemed as if to them it didn’t matter if those in the Slums lived or died. A day or two of wandering around the Wharf, after he’d leveled his Rogue class to level 3 he learned something and now understood why the Amber City Guard failed to control the escalating inner city Faction wars.

The reasoning was simple!

There was a more serious matter happening in Amber City.

Although the guards tried to restrain the news of the event continued to be spread regardless.

–” Someone has been skinned”

The grey areas of the Wharf had been secretly spreading the news, an unfortunate watchman had been skinned, when the guards found him he was already a bloody corpse. This was not simply skinning, the skin had been perfectly flayed without a shred of breakage and place in the most visible corner, as if mocking the guards incompetence.

In this world to have such an excellent skinning technique there were only two types of people.

One were the believers of the fallen gods and the other the followers of the Abyss.

Everyone was in panic, especially the nobles who were pressuring the guards hard, that was because the watchman that was skinned had been in the Noble area.

Believers of the Evil God or followers of Abyss fiends were mixed in with Amber City and were active near the Noble district!

The Guards had become busy with a new mission.

They were desperately looking for any trace of clues and had no mood to deal with the Cross Lanes.

The news had leaked.

Both inside and outside the city a large force converged, especially in near the waterfront and dark area, clearly limiting the number of chances.

Since the skinning events have taken place its not likely to end like this, according to the shadows of the dark area those insane people wouldn’t just stop.

There would soon be a bloody event!

When Sauron heard of this news, his heart wasn’t shaken a bit, he no came to a bit of a conclusion.

This was a sign of the era of disorder coming!

The dawn before the outbreak of the war of the gods, the first hand is dealt by the hands of the abyss and Devils whose followers set off a round of bloodshed with one of the most common occurrence being skinning.

This was an evil and ancient ceremony, it represented a new soul joining the chaotic evil alignment and started a chain reaction of sacrificial rituals across the Southern Principality.

“Serial skinning’s have started?”

Sauron’s figure stood a corner of the Wharf, starring with resolute eyes muttering: “Amber city!”

“This place is located at the boundaries of the Southern Principality.”

“Although it’s unfamiliar, but apparently Amber city once existed during the period of turmoil ** in the future a something major will occur!”

“Or else it would be impossible to leave such an impression of the city.”

“What the hell is going on?”

He frowned trying to remember, but still not enough clues, at this time too many consecutive events were occurring.

It has to be known that a Hill Giant’s level is 10, this implies the need for the team of adventures to have levels above 10 to have half a chance of beating it.

“The skinning event has started.”

Sauron looked around the Wharf bustling with goods, as if foreseeing the coming turmoil, muttering: “It seems that I should go to the hidden treasury.” (TN: Spoken of earlier don’t remember what I used for it)

Strength.

This is the most important thing in the time of turmoil.

Because only strength can protect oneself, and only strength can protect what one treasures.

The arrival of the various Deities are imminent.

The curtain has risen to the era of the holy ones!

Man has no qualification to interfere in the course of history, and no one can stop the arrival of this calamity, even in the days when there were 10’s of millions of players it was impossible to accomplish, Sauron hardly thought that he alone could possibly accomplish it.

The only thing he could accomplish before the year of upheaval would be to gain strength, at least when facing danger he’d be able to protect himself.

Practically the overwhelming majority of the city coveted the concealed treasure cave, it was reportedly written that there were once a formidable Lich, apparently intending to plot and scheme something, unfortunately it wasn’t possible to accomplish it before it fall. Initially many people had explored these concealed treasure caves to try and find things, even including the body parts of the Lich. However what truly attracted Sauron attention were the epic equipment, epic equipment were very rare in this world and the difficulty and obtaining it is higher than people could imagine!

The early stage treasure cave is the sole one that you could obtain superior equipment, there was even an certain probability to attain a legendary equipment.

Since this was the territory of a Lich, then surely there would be clues concerning the dead.

The treasure cave has long been explored by previous generations, now Sauron has no competition. However with no trusted people to act together with, he can only solo adventure and explore. He could only hope that the challenge difficulty doesn’t surpass level 5, after all it would be too difficult to challenge a level 8 or higher treasure cave.

At that time 6 squadrons were destroyed, only the final squadron by fluke managed to seize the Lich’s phylactery.

Unfortunately it had already been damaged!
