/ A Good-for-Nothing Chapter 48: The Exposure of He Jin's Deeds
He Jin was calm and composed. With a sneer on the remaining half of his face, he looked down at the stupid woman who had dared to go to his home to make a scene. Originally, He Jin had had no intention of killing her, not to mention doing it himself, since there was a high risk of exposure.
He preferred to use demonic Qi to tempt people into serving as his "weapons", which had also been taught to him by that mysterious man.
However, this girl named Jing was too bold. She had dared to go to his home and made such a big scene.

However, he could only dodge the first blow. A man had appeared in front of him and he didn't even know when. Zhen Ni quickly assisted Jing to her feet, raised her hand and a faint green light emanated from her palm. Jing, who had been trembling in terror, fell asleep after Zhen Ni did that.
"It's so surprising that a member of He family colluded with demons," observed the man before him in a bland tone of voice.
He Jin was taken aback but soon went angry from shame. Meanwhile, he was also gradually coming to his senses that had been clouded by indignation. "You seem to want to meet your end!"
Abruptly, He Jin launched an attack. Recently, he had successfully manipulated another couple of people with demonic Qi, and the blood had enhanced his power. Though having not recognized the man in front of him, He Jin showed no fear. He raised his hand and a blast of black gas spewed from his palm heading straight for the face of the man.
He had thought that he could defeat the man with one blow, but unexpectedly, his opponent was also very powerful and sidestepped the blow. He Jin came to realize that things had taken an unfavorable turn.
"Who are you that dared to get in my way?!" He Jin thundered. There was not a single trace of a college student in his early twenties on him. He was under thorough control of demonic Qi.
"Soon you'll find out." Han Zhuo's countenance remained unchanged. When He Jin launched another attack, he didn't even try to dodge. On contact with Han Zhuo, the black fog was burned by a blue fire which was more intense.
He Jin widened his eyes and felt the first twitch of fear in the realization that he was by no means a match for this man!
He Jin gritted his teeth. This man knew his identity. He had been exposed. He Jin had no alternative but to extract the firewood from under the cauldron, planning to flee. Han Zhuo decisively made a series of mudras with his hands and the next moment, He Jin was trapped in a dark green magic circle, unable to move an inch. Restrained by dark green light, He Jin involuntarily spat out a mouthful of black blood.
On the other side of the scene, Zhen Ni had successfully undone the magical barrier. On seeing that Han Zhuo had trapped the target, she nimbly turned around and said, "Let's bring him back. Chief will decide how to deal with this."
Han Zhuo inclined his head, bound unconscious He Jin and threw him into his vehicle.
"What about the girl?"
"I've cast a Spell of Erasure on her. She won't remember anything about this."
A black sedan drove away and disappeared into the dark night. Nobody knew that there had just been a fight on this gloomy path.
Jing's roommates hastily walked out of the dormitory building and went to the security guard's room only to find that Jing was sleeping inside.
"Jing, how did you come to fall asleep in a security guard's room? You're such a quick sleeper!" one of her roommates smiled.
In a daze, Jing scratched her head and saw the shopping bag and other stuff placed beside her. "Eek? I think I have just had a thrilling dream."
"What kind of thrilling dream?"
"I don't remember."
"Let's go back."
Smiling, Jing gave a bob of her head and left with her roommates. "Hey, I bought some lipsticks today. Since I'm in a good mood, I'll give one to each of you. You may pick whichever takes your fancy when we return to the dorm."
"Wow..."
With the joyous laughter of the girls, the dim path was no longer terrifying.
