For as long as I can remember I've always tried to be what my parents expected, the good daughter whether it was religion, school, career, appearance, taste, even interests. I always did whatever I could to please them in hope of being acknowledged by them, I now realize that this dream can never come to light and there isn't anything I can do to change that fact.

I don't know what to do though, if I'm not doing it for them or following there path that they carved out for me what am I supposed to do. I have spent my life following there path, I don't know how to carve out my own without hurting myself.

Yet I still intend to try I'm going to live my life the way I want to, starting now so I'm taking my best friends Carol and Shelly to a club. I'm gonna have all the drinks I want, dance with who I want, and just have the time of my life.

The drinks started flowing and before I know it I'm drunk, makes sense I've never drank alcohol before cause my parents don't like it.

"I'm gonna go get us more drinks so we can catch up with you" said carol before running off.

My eyes followed her through the club, till I noticed four men on the second floor watching us. One broke off from them and headed down the stairs, I watched as he made his way across the dance floor in what appeared to be carols direction. I quickly got up and moved to get to her.

"Where are you going?" Shouted Shelly from behind.

"I think carols in trouble, I've got to get to her!!" I retorted

I hastily made my way through the dance floor thankfully I was closer then her was and got to her first, however I didn't fail to notice that the men's eyes shift from us to just carol.

"Hey, what are you doing over here? I said I'd get this round." Carol asked

"Sorry, I just saw these really shady guys staring at you and one was coming towards you." I replied

"What guys? Where?!" She said in a panicked tone

"That guy over th..." as I turned he was gone, when I glanced up the others had disappeared too.

"Not funny!" Carol said irritably

"I swear they were there a minute ago."

"What ever your probably just drunk and imagined it, this is your first time drinking maybe we should stop here for the night and head out." Carol said worriedly

"Ok, I guess your right. Let's go get Shelly and get out of here." I replied

As we made our way back to our table Shelly was gone, but oddly all our stuff was still at the table.

"Where did Shelly go? Did she follow you to come to me?" Carol asked

"No. Or at least I don't think she did. I was so panicked trying to get to you and keep an eye on those guys that I guess I didn't notice where she was."

"Maybe she's just in the bathroom, let's get our stuff and hers and go check."

"Ok"

We went to the bathroom and searched to no avail, she wasn't there.

"If she's not here, then where is she?" Carol asked nervously

"I don't know!"
