“Master, it's me.” Zhao's deep voice came from the door.

Zhao despised and criticized Mumian silently in his mind that he would not be un-thoughtful as Mumian who just broke into the room bluntly and sabotaged master's love affair with Bai Aoxue. He entered the room with stable steps.

Jun Yeyan didn't say anything to Bai Aoxue when he heard the voice of Zhao, but gently dragged the quilt.

Bai Aoxue dragged the quilt off her face when she heard the news. She looked at Zhao and asked slowly, “Who was sent to come?”

“I have arranged them to settle down in the mansion,” Zhao answered calmly.

Bai Aoxue nodded, “Bring them to me in the yard after a while.”

Zhao nodded and respectfully stepped back to one side.

But Jun Yeyan didn't move, and he looked at Bai Aoxue sullenly.

Bai Aoxue thought it was funny seeing Jun Yeyan to be sullen. “Let's go, if you don't want Cangsheng to come straight here.”

Mumian recovered from shock on hearing Bai Aoxue's voice and said, “I got it, Your…Your Highness.”

“How are you feeling now?” Bai Aoxue tried to break the silence on the way to the yard.

Jun Yeyan hugged himself with delight over the words of Bai Aoxue. But his complexion was a poker face, “After taking your medicine, the toxin is under control, and the internal energy is in a good order.”

Bai Aoxue felt a little bit relieved, but she seriously said, “When we come back in a while, I'll measure your pulse again. After Cangsheng leaves, we will go to the secret chamber.”

Bai Aoxue just blinked her eyes, staring at the direction of the door.

“Send them in.” Jun Yeyan noticed Bai Aoxue was expecting, so he just commanded.

“Eunuch, please come in. His Highness wants to see you.” Bai Aoxue recognized the voice, which belonged to the steward of the mansion, Zhaoye, who was like a fox.

“Thank you.” It was Cangsheng's soft voice, neither humble nor arrogant.

The sound of opening the door followed, and then the sound of steps.

The moment Cangsheng entered the room he saw Bai Aoxue was looking at him with a smiling face. She was pale, but her lips lifted.

Cangsheng felt sorry for Bai Aoxue, who was so petite, but had to bear much more misfortune than ordinary people.

“Your Excellency prince and princess,” Cangsheng paid his respects respectfully.

Jun Yeyan observed Cangsheng with his phoenix eyes, and said, “Stand up. What are you doing here?”

Such straight words were a sign of hostility to Cangsheng, even Wenxi and Hongxiu could figure out.

It seemed that Cangsheng didn't realize the hostility in Jun Yeyan's words. He said with a smile, “His Majesty heard about that prince and princess were attacked the day before, and the princess was hurt. His Majesty is busy with administrative affairs, and he doesn't have time to visit princess in person, so he sent me instead.”

Cangsheng's words were flawless even if Bai Aoxue hadn't planned everything.

Jun Yeyan was very worried to see Bai Aoxue cough, and he was grumpy. “Wenxi, fetch some water.”

Cangsheng's lips jerked a little and he wanted to continue, but at this moment, there came a voice outside the door.

“Princess, I bring the three kids,” Zhao reported respectfully outside.

The three kids, Mo Li, Mo Shang and Mo Qing, were so worried about Bai Aoxue when they heard that she was hurt, and they wait uneasily outside the door.

Bai Aoxue said, “Send them in.”

Jun Yeyan showed his disagreement with his eyes, but he didn't stop her. Right now, what Bai Aoxue needed most is rest, but there were always visitors… Thinking of this, Jun Yeyan gave Zhao a sharp glance.

Cangsheng had a glance at the three kids. His sight targeted one of them when he caught sight of the jade pendant on the waist, and he shivered in a shock.

Cangsheng's clear eyes opened widely, and his pupils narrowed instantly.

Bai Aoxue felt confused when she noticed that Cangsheng was little wired, and she wanted to ask why, but Cangsheng walked towards Mo Shang very slowly.

Cangsheng stared at the jade pendant on the waist of Mo Shang, intended to reach out one hand to it, but his action was weird as if the passages through which vital energy circulates of his arm were damaged.

Mo Shang looked at the eunuch from palace, and didn't know what he wanted to do. Having been through hardships during his lifetime, his eyes showed that he kept alert.

The moment Cangsheng almost touched the jade pendant on his waist, Mo Shang stepped backward quickly and covered the jade pendant with his hands.

Cangsheng failed to touch the jade pendant, with his head lowered that nobody could figure out what was on his mind.

Bai Aoxue could not help to ask, “What's wrong, Cangsheng?”

Cangsheng raised his head abruptly when he heard the voice of Bai Aoxue, which seemed like the last straw of hope.

Cangsheng's sight was unfocused and full of despair.

“Your elder sister? Where is she? Could you take me to her?” Cangsheng asked in hope.

But he didn't notice that the complexions of the three kids had changed all of a sudden.

Mo Shang tried his best to hold his tears and wouldn't answer.

“Cangsheng, what's wrong with the jade pendant? Why are you asking such urgently?” Bai Aoxue asked.

Cangsheng suddenly came to his sense when he heard the voice of Bai Aoxue. How blunt he was to be so overreacted!

“Well, nothing. I just happened to see a jade pendant same as this one before.” Cangsheng embarrassedly covered up, but his eyes were still staring at the jade pendant.

Apparently, Bai Aoxue didn't believe Cangsheng's words, but everyone had his secrets. If Cangsheng wouldn't tell, she wouldn't push him anymore.

“The jade pendant was given to the kids by the lady who adopted them, and she left the day before.” Bai Aoxue explained to Cangsheng.

“Left? Where was she going?” Cangsheng didn't realize the real meaning of “left”, and asked urgently.

Upon hearing this, Cangsheng was about to collapse to the ground as if he were hit by thunder bolt. The hope in his eyes had changed into endless despair.

He looked at Bai Aoxue and wouldn't buy it, hoping Bai Aoxue tell him that it was just a joke.

Bai Aoxue with her pale face nodded and said sadly, “It is true. The lady named Helian Cangyue is dead. And she asks me to take care of the three kids.”

Hearing Bai Aoxue speak of Helian Cangyue's name, Cangsheng felt dizzy. All his hope now was gone.
