Wu Zhang felt someone staring at them and his gaze suddenly landed on his secretary who was standing a few steps away from them and watching his boss, awestruck.

The way Wu Zhang was making the secretary cower, she immediately understood what was going on. She chuckled, then went closer to Wu Zhang and whispered softly in his ears. "Don't scare away the man, it's okay."

Wu Zhang planted another kiss on her forehead before they turned around and got into the car and headed to the Wu Mansion. 

Reaching the mansion she headed straight to her room as there was something completely different running on in her mind, and it was too important to brush off the idea. As she sauntered her way to the stairs, Old Buttler Mingli stopped her, "Miss Song, you have returned, give me a few minutes and the dinner will be served soon."

"Uncle Mingli, if you don't mind, can you please send it to my room? I have got some work to do and it's very important."

"Sure Miss Song, I will send it upstairs." Old Buttler bowed and left while Song Jia hurried o her room.

She took a quick hot shower to relax her strained body and stepped out in a bathing gown while rubbing her wet hair with a towel. She came to stand against the tall mirror and continued rubbing her hair.

She was so engrossed in planning the proposal that she didn't even realize that there was someone else already present in her room. Humming a tune of an old Enrique song, she started applying the moisturizer on her hands.

Just before she was about to turn around, she heard a deep masculine voice speak from behind her, making her jump and scream bloody murder. "Darlin...?"

Wu Zhang went silent seeing such a reaction from her, he knew her heart had popped up to her mouth with such wide eyes that seem that they would fall out of their socket any moment. He suppressed the urge to laugh by pressing his lips together and looked at her with an amused expression. "Tut! Such a chicken!"

Song Jia was leaning against the dressing table and had her hand on her chest, as she tried to calm her breathing. "You scared the life out of me!" She accused him in a horror-filled voice.

"I apologize, but I am famished. So please come over here fast, or I will rather just eat you." He winked with a wicked grin spread across his lips, giving Song Jia butterflies in her stomach.

"Just give me a minute." Song Jia smiled and rushed towards her closet to change her clothes.
