Pure White Fairy

I was in my room in front of a full length mirror, confirming my appearance before my first day of school.

I was currently wearing the navy blue blazer and red plaid skirt that was the uniform of Hirayama high school, these clothes were rather familiar to me.

「However, I never expected that I would wear this uniform…」

Even though I said I was familiar with it, of course I had never actually worn it. After all, I had previously went to Hirayama high school as a boy.

It has been 3 months since I lost my body, I am now being re-admitted into Hirayama high school as a completely different person in both gender and name, Kisaragi Alice.

『This is bad, the size is too large…』

I hear Alicia's sighs in my head.

Although the uniform was the smallest size they had, it was still to big for me. When my arms are straight at my sides my hands are hidden in the sleeves, it's very unbecoming..

I will grow into it eventually, although mom told me that, if I don't grow into it I'll be a little depressed about it.

A voice started calling me from downstairs as I was staring at the mirror.

「Alice, how long are you going to take to get ready! We don't have much time before we need to go!」

「I'm coming down now!」

As I answer I take my bag from the desk and leave my room.

Yuna was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs while wearing the same uniform as me, the uniform fit her body rather tightly, the contrast between how well it fit her in comparison to me made me a little sad.

「You sighed when you saw my face, is something wrong?」

「No, I was just comparing my uniform with Yuna…」

「… Doesn't it suit you? It's moe to have a uniform that is slightly too big!」

「I don't want such a thing. I just want it to fit well!」

「Yes Yes, I understand what Alice is saying…. But we'll be late if we don't leave soon, right?」

Yuna says so rather rudely, she then turns her back and heads to the entrance.

Though dissatisfied, I follow after Yuna.

Taking out my smartphone and checking the time, since we're walking to school, it would be bad if we didn't leave the house soon.

Beside Yuna, who was putting on her shoes at the entrance, I sit down, while being careful of my skirt, to put on my own shoes.

「… Alice, are you really wearing those?」

The worried voice of my mother can be heard as she came to see us off.

「Of course!」

What she was referring to were the special shoes I had bought the other day, the heal was 4 cm. To be able to make me 5 cm taller was great. I fell in love with them and bought them right away when I was shopping last week.

Mom and Yuna had said that they wouldn't be practical to wear every day, but I think that being able to look taller was sufficiently practical.

I wear the shoes and turn around to face mom along with Yuna.

「「See you later!」」

「Have a good day.」

We leave from the entrance of our house. Although it's currently September, the sunlight was still harsh.

Even though I have sunscreen on, if the day continues like this, it might be better to consider using a parasol… Even if my skin was a little tanned, it turns red and stings rather easily.

Well, it really isn't that big of a problem since I can just heal it using restoration magic.

As I continued to walk to school, I once again realized how low my viewpoint is. At any rate, even with the shoes, I still feel short.

The road to school has hardly changed over the past year, but I myself have changed completely.

As we get closer to school, the number of students in the same uniform increases, everyone seemed to be in a hurry and was moving with a trot. Checking my smartphone, it was getting really close to the start of school.

「Alice, let's run a little.」

I answer by nodding to Yuna's words.

Yuna started running first and I followed after her.

There was a teacher at the school gate greeting students while checking the time on their watch.  When the time comes, the school gates are closed, those that don't make it in time are recorded as being late.

However, it is only closed after the school bell rings, so it's safe to say we're going to make it today.

「「Good morning!」」

While calling out to the teacher, we run through the school gate then slow down.

That I, who wasn't used to wearing shoes with heels, got careless and tripped.

While prone I raise my face to tell Yuna I'm okay. There are no serious wounds on my body, so there won't be any hindrance to my movement.

As I hear that, I look back timidly.

There were many students at the school gate as the time limit gets close, it seems that everyone was staring at me.

My skirt was rolled up from the fall I had just a moment ago…

「Hya—-!?」

I fixed my skirt while jumping up off the ground and quickly ran away from that place.

— Later that day, I learned that the name 『Pure White Fairy』was given to me, I almost cried at that.

It absolutely doesn't come from the color of my hair-!?
