Vampire Reporter 2 Episode 2: Computer Madness

I hide behind some people so Calvin couldn't see me. 'This is just great. Him being here. Why is it when we aren't together he is always around when I don't want him to.'

He notices me. "Hey I'll talk to you later." He walks toward me.

'Crap! Why!?'

"Hey" he says smiling a little.

I swallow hard. "Hi" I pretend to check my camera. 'Why did he want to talk? Last time we talked it ended pretty badly'

"Listen I know its not the best time but...lets go out to eat and discuss some things. Like fix what was broken."

"I don't know Calvin. Its still hard not to look at you without thinking of that day. And the other days following it." I stare at the ground remembering.

Flashback~

"Calvin I'm home." I say walking into the living room. I throw my jacket and purse on the couch.

I go into the kitchen to grab something to drink. I grab a soda. "Wondering if he wants some food in bed." I stare at the fridge. "Yeah that poor sick boy needs some food in his system." I began to make him some chicken noodle soup and rice. "That's looks delicious" I put everything on a tray and began to walk up stairs. "Calvin honey. I want to make sure your-" I say when I enter the room to find him having sex with another woman. Well honesty I knew the woman. My coworker and best friend of ten years.

I drop the tray and began to cry.

End of flashback~

I clear my throat and rub my eyes trying to forget that awful day. "But yeah. I don't think that's a good idea." I walk away but stop. "And also...." I turn my head little to see him in the corner of my eye. "I want nothing to do with you. I don't care how many times you apologize. You are a nasty man. I don't want you in my life so please...stay out of it." I leave the apartment building.

I stand in the hallway for a minute. 'Why now? Why after all this time does he want to talk. He could have done this weeks ago.' I sigh. 'He was trying. Maybe I shouldn't have been so harsh.'

"Excuse me but whats all that noise?"

I look up to see a man standing in a doorway. He was very tall. Almost taller than the door frame. He had white snow skin and long shaggy hair. His eyes were bright blue.

I realize I was staring at him for too long. "Sorry sir. But they are investigating a murder." I began to walk away.

"Really? What happened?" He says as I was close to the elevator doors.

"Um well" I turn to him. He was standing somewhat strange. Like he was trying not to hit his head on the ceiling. "I cant really say because of police business" I smile and press the elevator button.

"Oh okay. Thank you." He turns to his door and whispers "Later my sweet lady"

I hear it a little. "Excu-" I say when I turn but notice his door was shut.

I turn back to the elevator and it opens. 'That man was strange. But something about him was familiar.' I shake my head of the so far crazy morning and press the main floor button. The doors close.

They open when I come to the main floor. I step out and walk outside. The sun shined bright. 'Such a beautiful day' I call for a cab and began to head to work. 'Today has been crazy so far. Why did Calvin have to be at that crime scene. I mean there are other crimes in this city that he could of solved.' I stare out my window. 'Hopefully the rest of the day will be okay'

The cab stops and I get out. The building I work in was huge. It was one of the biggest buildings here. I walk inside and get to the floor I work on.

As I step on the floor people are running everywhere. The place looked more busy than usual.

I spot Logan. 'He was one of my best friends there. He helped me through the bad times. Like when Calvin cheated on me with well that other woman.'

He waved at me. "Over here!"

I walk to him. He was at his desk looking over some paperwork. "Soooooo how was your day?" He smiles a little

I raise an eyebrow. 'What was going on? Did he know something?' "It was fine. Why you ask?" I steal a piece of his candy.

"Hey! That's my breakfast" he hides the rest.

I laugh. "Okay so what do you know?"

He smiles. "So I heard some news about your ex being at the same crime scene as you this morning"

I roll my eyes. "Yes its true. But don't worry I'm fine." I began to walk to my office. "Also for your information he wanted me back as well." I shut my door behind me.

"Oh my gosh! I gotta tell everyone about this" He pulls out his phone.

I lock my door and go to my desk. I sit down and lay my head in my hands. 'Please let the rest of the day be better.' I turn to my computer and hook my camera to it and began to look through the photos. I review each one. I get to the last one when I notice something. The picture was dark. You could see the furniture in it but it was like I took a dark cloth over the lens. "That's strange. I know I took this picture during the day." I sigh. 'I knew I couldn't use it so i deleted it.' I unhook my camera to my computer and start writing up some paperwork.

"Ambrose..." A soft whisper echoes the room.

I look around. "Man I think I need some sleep." I rub my eyes and go back to writing.

"Ambrose..."

I look around again. 'Okay...am I going crazy?' I shake my head. "Maybe I'm going crazy." I laugh a little.

Suddenly my camera gets knocked over and hits the floor breaking.

"Shit!" I start to clean it up. 'Okay now I know im really going crazy'

"Ambrose...help...."

I stand. This time the voice was clearer. I could hear it better. And it was in my head. I rub my temples. 'Stop this. You're not crazy'

"Ambrose he wants whats his....he will clam you..."

I try to study the voice but I jump when a knock is heard on my door.

I go to it. A woman stands there when I open the door.

"Yes?" I ask

"Yes um Mr. Cam would like to see you" She said as she fake smiled.

'Fake bitch' "Okay thank you"

She walks away.

I walk behind as I shut my door. 'My boss was an asshole. He could be nice but when he was it was only because he wanted something. So yay for me.'
