"That's nonsense. I'm not a troublemaker at all." Wang Hao shook his head and said, "Back on Earth, I refused him when he invited me to join the Guild of Pharmacists. That's why he hates me and slanders me everywhere…"
Wang Hao nodded his head after saying that, as if it were the truth.
Bing Qiao giggled in amusement. "Just like what President Mo Li said, not a word from your mouth is to be believed."
Xia Weiwei pulled Mai Mengmeng aside and asked in a low voice, "Is she really your master? Isn't she too young?"
Mai Mengmeng also replied in a low voice, "She isn't! I'm told that my master has been a deputy president of the Guild of Pharmacists for seventy years."
"For seventy years?" Xia Weiwei and Le Xuan exclaimed and looked at Bing Qiao in admiration. She truly had done a great job taking care of her looks.
Overhearing that, Wang Hao hurried to get certain inappropriate thoughts out of his head. He was not interested in someone much older than himself.
"You're badmouthing me again." Bing Qiao patted Mai Mengmeng's face affectionately.
"No, I did not. I would never speak ill of you, master!" Mai Mengmeng shook her head quickly, declaring that she was a good girl.
"Ouch! Ouch!"
Suddenly, screams came from far away. It could be seen that many people were walking exhaustedly without any vigor in their eyes.
Also, there were many rotting bits on the surface of their bodies, and stink was spreading out, too.
"How unfortunate!" Bing Qiao closed her eyes and couldn't bear to watch any longer.
"Who are they?" asked Xia Weiwei, who was rather shocked.
"They are the infected." Mai Mengmeng leaned closer to Bing Qiao and explained in a low voice, "When the zombie virus spread, they took the antibodies immediately, so they became infected instead of zombies."
"Is there no way to treat them?" asked Xia Weiwei.
Mai Mengmeng shook her head and said, "We're still developing an antidote for zombie viruses. For now, we can prevent the viruses with antibodies. But sometimes, when people are inoculated with too many antibodies, it will be useless and they will still turn into zombies."
"Doesn't it mean that they're dead for sure?" Xia Weiwei exclaimed and looked at the infected sympathetically. Nothing was more horrible than waiting for one's own death.
"So, they're the last survivors on Tianming?" Le Xuan swallowed, feeling cold.
"There should be a hundred thousand of them. I can't believe that they are the remains of the twenty-three billion people on this planet." Qian Wanyang also quivered.
"A hundred thousand people survived!" Wang Hao's eyes glowed. The formulas for level-three drugs that he exchanged for last time included an antidote to zombie viruses.
This antidote could cure those infected with the zombie virus.
Of course, there were more advanced antidotes that could restore zombies into humans, but they were too expensive for Wang Hao.
The survivors who extended their life with antibodies must be very rich. Wang Hao could definitely make a fortune with them!
Le Xuan and Xia Weiwei glared at Wang Hao. Why was this jerk so cold-blooded? Did he not have any sympathy at all?
Bing Qiao also frowned. Wasn't this guy too cruel? Were human lives nothing in his eyes?
She wasn't bothered when Wang Hao attacked the mercenaries, because the mercenaries could've killed many people themselves. It was not a big deal even if they died.
However, it would be too inhumane if Wang Hao's attitude toward civilians was the same. He would be no different from the terrorists of DY.
Ignoring the women's glare, Wang Hao exchanged for an antidote and approached a kid.
"What are you doing?"
A middle-aged woman quickly picked up her child and looked at Wang Hao warily.
"I have an antidote that I would like to give to your child." Wang Hao revealed the green drug in his hand.
The middle-aged woman's face changed quickly, not knowing if she should trust Wang Hao. If the drug was fake, her child might die immediately, but if it was a real antidote, she wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to save her child.
"Don't believe his bulls*it. How can such a young man boast an antidote? It's probably poison." A man whose face was rotting shook his head in disdain.
"That's right. Even the Guild of Pharmacists hasn't developed an antidote yet. How can such a young man have one?" The other infected people were unconvinced too.
"Wang Hao, are you sure it's an antidote?" Bing Qiao came to Wang Hao and stared at the drug in his hand.
"Deputy President Bing Qiao, please save us!"
After recognizing Bing Qiao, the infected people grew excited and knelt, begging Bing Qiao to save them.
"Please stand up, everyone." Bing Qiao sighed helplessly. "The Guild of Pharmacists is working on an antidote. I'm sure that we'll make it…"
All the infected people collapsed in frustration and wept in low voices.
DY had brutalized so many planets, but the Guild of Pharmacists hadn't saved any of them so far. The infected people knew that they were doomed.
"Cough! Cough!"
Seizing the moment, Wang Hao fed the antidote to the child. The child coughed violently and spewed out black unknown materials.
"What are you doing?" The middle-aged woman glared at Wang Hao.
Right then, the rotten skin on the child started recuperating. With more time, it would definitely be healed.
Everybody exclaimed and looked at Wang Hao in shock. "Is the virus really cured?"
"How is this possible?"
Bing Qiao stared at Wang Hao in disbelief, eyes wide. Her mind went blank.
The zombie viruses were not really incurable, but DY had been slightly modifying them every time.
By the time the Guild of Pharmacists developed an antidote, a month would have passed, and the infected would already be dead.
However, a seventeen-year-old young man had presented an antidote. Was it a generic antidote that could cure all zombie viruses?
