A dazzling streak of light darted from the Pulse Energy Cannon and illuminated the world, and an enormous mushroom rose to the sky, raising a thunderous explosion and a sweeping storm.

"Huh…" Wang Hao frowned. Ruined the environment? Was nobody injured or killed?

When the noise died down, the place was a mess. Everybody was moaning on the ground, but they were all covered by energy shields.

"And that's why no one died. They were saved by the energy shields." Wang Hao smiled. "Let's see how those people can resist another round…"

"Boss, you must stop." Qian Wanyang and Chen Yao hurried to stop Wang Hao. "People from the Military Department will be here soon. We'd better get out of here!"

"What are you scared of?" Wang Hao waved his hand and said, "I didn't attack them first. This is self-defense."

"Self-defense?"

Qian Wanyang and Chen Yao looked at the people moaning on the ground, lost for words. Was it really self-defense?

"Who's causing trouble here?" said someone in an intimidating voice.

Wang Hao turned around, only to see a bald man approaching with a group of soldiers.

"Boss, he is Jin Wei, a lieutenant general of the Military Department. He's the highest commander on Tianming right now," introduced Qian Wanyang in a low voice.

Wang Hao sized up Jin Wei, only to discover that he could not see through the man as if the man was shrouded in mist. The man must be at least a Martial King. It was impossible to open fire again.

In the meantime, Jin Wei also observed Wang Hao. He felt that he had seen Wang Hao from somewhere, but on second thought, it was impossible that they had met before. Still, why was his face so familiar?

"General, this man fired a cannon for no good reason. Please arrest him now."

Seeing that Jin Wei was here, the moaning mercenaries on the ground all cried and accused Wang Hao.

"That's right. He violated the rules by opening fire in the safe area. He must be punished."

"Please, general, you have to capture this murderer."

"…"

Jin Wei raised his eyebrow and said coldly, "Young man, what do you have to say for yourself?"

Wang Hao snorted. "That's bulls*it. They whispered about my spaceship when I came here. I told them the truth, and they attacked me. So I had to counterattack in self-defense…"

Everybody was lost for words. Someone should really teach this guy a lesson on manners! Was this really the truth? He was cursing others, did he not know it?

The people who were almost killed by Wang Hao all wanted to beat Wang Hao up.

Jin Wei took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He looked at the spaceship, only to discover that it was indeed an expensive one, with level-four alloys, the Pulse Energy Cannon of level-three damage, and the level-four energy shield. It was not something that anyone could afford.

Technically speaking, what Wang Hao said was indeed the truth.

Thinking about that, Jin Wei was caught in a dilemma. Wang Hao said something truthful. Though it was also hurtful, those mercenaries shouldn't have attacked him, and Wang Hao was not wrong to defend himself. What should he do now?

Le Xuan and Xia Weiwei did not know what to say. It seemed that Wang Hao had fooled a lieutenant general.

Wang Hao's shamelessness demanded admiration!

"Sister Weiwei, Sister Le Xuan!" Mai Mengmeng, whom they hadn't seen in days, giggled and jumped into Xia Weiwei's arms.

"It was horrible of you to not wait for me to say goodbye when you went to the Guild of Pharmacists." Xia Weiwei criticized Mai Mengmeng, who was already gone by the time she returned from the inter-school contest.

Mai Mengmeng stuck out her tongue in embarrassment and subconsciously glanced at Wang Hao. When her parents watched the live stream of the inter-school contest, they believed that Wang Hao was a shameless guy, so they sent her to the Guild of Pharmacists in case Wang Hao was to do anything to her and reminded her to keep a distance from Wang Hao.

"Are you Wang Hao?" A young woman behind Mai Mengmeng approached gracefully. Her nose was delicate, her lips were like a cherry, and her skin was smooth and flawless.

The laziness on her face, in particular, was very lovely.

Everybody greeted her in a hurry. "Nice to meet you, Deputy President Bing Qiao!"

"Do you know this guy, Deputy President Bing Qiao?" asked Jin Wei respectfully.

Bing Qiao smiled and said, "He is the best genius of the Guild of Pharmacists, except that he is as… naughty as the rumors say."

Jin Wei's pupils shrank. If this guy was the best genius of the Guild of Pharmacists, he would certainly dare to fire a cannon at anyone.

However, what baffled Jin Wei was why Wang Hao was the best genius of the Guild of Pharmacists when he was wearing the school badge of Empyrean North University.

But in any case, Jin Wei knew that he could not bear the consequences if he arrested this guy.

"Deputy President Bing Qiao, I'll be leaving!" Jin Wei bowed and left with his soldiers.

The moaning mercenaries on the ground lost their fire after they learned that Wang Hao was the best genius of the Guild of Pharmacists. They could only leave with injuries all over their body.
