Song Yu wiped her tears again. She then looked at Qi Chengyue and Cheng Dongge with teary eyes and said, “I feel like this is Chengyue's first marriage.”

Qi Chengzhi smiled warmly and looked across the stage without saying a word.

After the wedding ceremony was over, Mu Sisi and Gao Jingqiu walked side by side with the other guests while they exited Dynasty. She did not notice a man wearing a black T-shirt and long pants walked past. He had a thick slanted fringe in front, his cheeks and chin dotted with inflamed acne.

The man browsed through the crowd and fixated on Mu Sisi.

Before anyone noticed him, he hid behind a corner. He saw Mu Sisi walked toward Mu Huaisheng while the Mu family entered the car after bidding farewell with the Gao family.

He noticed that Mu Sisi went inside a Bently. It was a luxurious car and it seemed like she was from a wealthy family. Dynasty was also a famous hotel in B City—it would be a luxury even for the rich to dine there.

He went to find out and knew that one of the noble families was holding a wedding at Dynasty. Mu Sisi must be a guest. The family that held the wedding booked the entire Dynasty today—they must be filthy rich in order to do that. When he thought of it, he had to take a few deep breaths to cool down.

The man snickered when he thought about Mu Sisi associated with the rich people and attending such a grand wedding. He noted down the Bently's registration number in case he forgot.

Qi Chengyue and Cheng Dongge had agreed to have their honeymoon together after Song Yu gave birth so they were not in a rush. One week later, they went back to Li City and held another wedding.

This time, Grandfather Qi and Grandmother Qi did not travel there due to their old age. They made Qi Zhongxun and Guan Liya as the representatives. Song Yu was also inconvenient to travel, so Qi Chengzhi stayed behind at B City. Apart from them, all the others including Qi Zhongliang and Xia Wenna went down to Li City.

When November arrived, Song Yu handed in her resignation letter to Director Zhao accordingly to her initial plan.

Director Zhao pinched the letter that Song Yu handed to him. With trembling hands, he looked at Song Yu who was sitting across him and asked, “Song Yu, why the sudden resignation? Are you not happy to work in this company?”

“Director Zhao, please don't misunderstand my intentions. I've caused you a lot of trouble from the start. I seldom come to the company since I got pregnant. With my condition now, I'm not able to get projects. I'm hogging a position in the company for no reason, and I come and go as I please. Song Yu stunned for a moment before understanding what Qi Chengzhi meant. She stole a glance at Ruan Danchen who was sitting on her table. She dared not let her hear and lowered her voice to reply, “You find Chenglin to have lunch then.”

Song Yu could hear Qi Chengzhi's gentle chuckle through the phone. “I'll let Chang Lai pick you guys.”

“Uhm…” Song Yu nodded. “Are you busy today?”

“Not at all, I planned to pick you up myself,” Qi Chengzhi said in a clear voice. “You handed your resignation?”

“It's done. Director Zhao tried to ask me to stay, but he didn't succeed. I'm officially leaving after today,” Song Yu answered calmly.

After hanging up, Song Yu and Ruan Danchen headed for lunch. They used Qi Chengzhi's room without Manager Qian asking which room they wanted to dine in.

They left Dynasty after finishing eating. Qi Chengzhi came down from a Mercedes-Benz. From afar, he saw Song Yu and Ruan Danchen on the staircase of Dynasty. He then walked towards them with long strides.

Song Yu sincerely felt that Qi Chengzhi's appearance every time would make her heart flutter, especially when he appeared in front of her without telling her beforehand. The moment when he walked towards her, her heart would be racing exceptionally fast.

“Why are you here?” Qi Chengzhi stood on the stairs one step lower than her, but he was still half a head taller. Song Yu felt a sense of warmth when she saw him, her voice also turned gentler.

“Then you send me straight back home so that I don't have to stay in the office and bother you working,” Song Yu insisted. Qi Chengzhi would surely decline all the work on hand whenever she was in the office.

“I'm quite busy, there's no time to detour,” Qi Chengzhi squeezed her hand gently as he answered her.

“You should just let Chang Lai send me back then. How are you going to work with me in your office?” Song Yu felt that this man was rather clingy.

When the traffic lights turned red, Qi Chengzhi braked slowly and turned towards her. His deep-set eyes shot a passionate glance while his slender fingers gently scratched her palm, making Song Yu's face burn and left tingling sensations on her scalp.

“What are you doing?” Song Yu asked with her face flushed. Not only her hand, she felt like her whole body was tingling.

“What are you thinking of doing if your presence in the office would stop me from working?” Qi Chengzhi asked in return while he continued scratching her palm, his voice mellow and tender.

Song Yu's face to her scalp burned up instantly, “What are you talking about! When I'm in the office, you'd turn down all the work because you're afraid that you would disturb my rest. I was referring to this!”

Qi Chengzhi chuckled lightly, the corner of his mouth curved into a coy smile. He said with an ambiguous smile, “What did I say? I didn't say anything. I was just asking what are you planning to do. I wasn't referring to anything, what do you think I was referring to?”

“…” Song Yu was dumbfounded.

“How come you've become so indecent now…” Qi Chengzhi looked at her with a righteous gaze before stepping on the accelerator when the light turned green.

Song Yu looked at him speechless. Who was the indecent one?

She was about to say why was he becoming so shameless—he misled her on purpose. How could he comment that she was having indecent thoughts in such a righteous tone?

This man had a totally different persona when he presented himself in public compared to when he was in private.

She even thought that he was a mature, reserved man when she saw him on the cover of the magazine. Now she knew it was all a lie.

Moments later, Qi Chengzhi said suddenly while driving, “You should be more careful since you're almost delivering.”

“Qi Chengzhi!” Song Yu could not help and yell shyly.

Qi Chengzhi also could not resist curving his lips and glanced at her smilingly. A while later, he said seriously, “I think I'd be camping in the meeting room the whole afternoon. You won't bother me working even if you're resting in the office.”

Song Yu blushed and lowered her head to see his thumb. She could not resist and used her fingers to rub his hand.

After a moment, she sheepishly replied, “It's not that nice if I stayed in your office during working hours, right? Which wife will keep disturbing her husband while they work?”

“It's fine, I'm used to it,” Qi CHengzhi squeezed her hand and said calmly. When he heard Song Yu threw the words husband and wife, he was delighted and said, “Plus, you're not bothering me at all.”

Song Yu did not say anything further even though inside her heart, she knew that this would not be a good influence. Furthermore, she knew that the others must be thinking that she was controlling Qi Chengzhi so strictly, fearing that he would be snatched by other people.
