The last meal.

In a luxurious villa in city M, a bouquet was prepared, and guests were invited from the upper class. the real heiress was brought back home.
Tyrel Qin served Pei Qin a meal and said.

"This might be the last celebration you are going to share with us, and maybe the last meal we are going to share as a family" even though he has never loved her and was never satisfied with her but they were a family after all.

He was ill back then and Pei was about to donate her blood for him, but what came out surprised everyone, they were not related by blood. It shocked everyone in the Qin family but some were happy that this fake heiress was going to be thrown out.

her classmates teased her the woman she has always called mother was happy and said.

" No wonder she has always been good for nothing, at least I won't be having headaches when it comes to your future."


After recovering from his illness, Tyrell managed to find his long-lost daughter Mercy Qin and brought her back home, and acknowledged her as her one and only daughter. His biological daughter, after going through all kinds of difficulties.

However, this was different for Pei she was no blood to this family and what was the difference? they never raised her anyways.

the next day at school, she was teased by her classmates and bullied by those that never looked her in the eye.

so she posted about her looking for her family members she wanted to go to her real family she was never going to care who they were she wanted to feel the family atmosphere.

just like that she received an email from a man claiming to be her family member. This news didn't escape the Qin hence they were happy to finally get rid of the problem.

her family was poor with an unemployed father, four uneducated elder brothers and all coming from Haldago county which was the most wayward county in nation A.

"I hope you won't miss our Qin's cooking's and come back for more, just enjoy to your fullest after all, all these years you spent in our family you caused us nothing but trouble," Mrs. Qin said.

Pei's eyes were crystal-clear like she has seen through them, she calmly put down her fork "I'm full"

She got up and left. Her back was resolute and unrestrained as if she wasn't reluctant to leave at all.

"Who is she pretending to? she is going to the mountainsides why is she not begging to stay at home? shouldn't she be crying?"

Mrs. Rosy Qin was immediately irritated.

"Dammed girl! She didn't want the food, since she thought that you stained the food with the fork you used! you spoiled her very much, look she is picky now, who is going to spoil her in the mountains? she will suffer...!"

"Mommy don't get upset. Pei was just annoyed since she didn't want to go to the mountains" Mercy Qin said.


It has been sometimes ever since she was brought back home

Yesterday she heard her parents saying that Pei's parents are poor with five - four single brothers who cause trouble everywhere.

Sitting on the dining table, Tyrel glanced at his wife and his long-lost daughter and said " Pei was once our daughter after all"

Rossy Qin sneered and said, "This damned girl! we have spoiled her for eighteen years yet our daughter has been suffering outside, where I think of that I feel like someone is stubbing my heart with a knife"

Pei walked back to the living room and picked up the backpack on the sofa, and was about to leave the villa.

Mercy caught up with her. "Pei, my engagement with Biron Lewis will be on after the release of our exams will you come?"

"No, I won't be coming since we are not related, and stop bringing your fake self near me at least after climbing the ladder am expecting you to have self-awareness," she said.

Mercy stood rooted on the ground. she felt humiliated.

'What is she pretending for? just going back to the village and Biron is mine' Mercy thought.

"Pei, Biron is good to me and treats me good, if mom and dad hadn't found me and brought me back, Biron could have been your fiance I hope you won't blame me for that?"

"Well thanks to you, you lifted another burden and a clown off my shoulder he is another waste you have just picked be proud" Pei smiled.

Mercy was stunned.

she thought ' what does pei means?'

"I was just about to toss him away you showed up in the right time. Perfect timing."

"You...!" Mercy wanted to throw a tantrum but show a figure, she immediately put on an act, looking aggrieved with red eyes, as if she were the innocent pink bunny.

Rossy happened to come on the living room and show the scene, she felt that her daughter was wronged, she become furious.
"Pei! how can you talk to Mercy like that? What is wrong with you?"

"Oooh, i am fine ,actually am more than fine," Pei smiled. "But you will need to go to the hospital for a checkup to see if there is anything wrong with your head and your daughters, one last thing tell her not to appear in front of me or else, your head will miss from your body"

Pei thought ' you have been living with Mercy for one whole month yet you still can not see her true colors? Mercy is just a phony pretending to be pure and innocent how can you be stupid?'

"You..!" Rossy was so angry that she was trembling.

"Pei, I want to give you my favorite necklace. Mom and dad bought it for me, after all we can be called sisters since you took care of my family for eighteen years, after you live today, who knows when we will see each other again, after all the mountain areas is very remote." Mercy sounded so forgiving and kind. She run forward to grab her hands.

but she stepped aside and Mercy and she missed. she missed and her hands touched Pei's backpack and a ruby necklace fell out of pei's backpack.

Everyone was stunned.

"What...!" Mercy couldn't help but cover her mouth.

Most of the people present were thinking of the same thing ' how come the necklace that Mercy was going to give Pei fell out from her backpack? '

Maybe..... she .... she stole it!

How strange? what if Mercy didn't want to give it out? The maids could have been labelled thieves.

Pei curled up her lips and thought what now? are you going to accuse me of theft? Mercy, sure you live up to your name.

"Why do you have Mercy's necklace on your backpack? You pretend as if you are ignorant and careless about your soon to be family situation, Yet you steal your sister's favorite necklace to give to your family?"

"Tyrel, come outside here and see the daughter that you raised for eighteen years you spoilt her so much that she turned out to be a thief for her family" Rossy could not hide her dislike for Pei now that she is going back to her family.

To her Pei was just a wastrel that she needed to discard as soon as possible.

Mercy Qin, stood by the side and watched everything her lips curled up into a smile. ' So what? if you have been with my parents for 18 years am still their blood and their favorite.' she thought.

"What is happening Rossy?" Tyrel asked.

"Look at the daughter you raised for eighteen years, she turd out to be a thief just for those poor family of hers"

"I believe their is a misunderstanding. Pei tell me what is going on"

"I didn't take it and I don't know how it ended up inside my backpack" she said with a lazy voice.

"Sister, it's okay even if you don't admit it, I was going to give this to you anyways, you can have" Mercy said.

"Okay," Pei.

"That's not okay at all, that necklace was a gift from us to you, how can you just give it away just like that?" Rossy was not pleased.

"Good for you. Pei! since when did you become a thief?" Rossy asked. " This is all my fault for not watching you." she added.

"Mom, don't say that to Pei" Mercy picked the ruby necklace from the floor and kindly handed it to pei. " Sister, don't take moms words seriously. I know you took the necklace to make better plans for your future, right? I also heard that your family is poor and from countryside, you can take and sell it." she said with a sad voice.

Several maids around opened their mouths.

"Miss Mercy, you are too generous and forgiving" they said and now Pei became the bad guy.

She took the necklace and smiled, she smashed it on the floor and dumped on the pit.

"You...!" everyone present.

"It's mine, you gave it to me, of cause i can do anything with it, because I don't want it I threw it away." she said and left.

The onlookers kept on comparing Pei and Mercy and the more they compare them, the more they felt that Pei was inferior to Mercy.

Mercy felt good from this.

"Silly girl, out of good will but treated as a trash, let's wait and see her family will come here for money i will chase them away." Rossy said.

"Mom, Pei's biological parents are poor, five unemployed brothers and sick grand mother how are they going to survive if Pei keeps on like this? now my good will is treated like this, I was just trying to help but see she didn't appreciate. Mom, dad, why can't we give her some money?" she said with a red eyes like she has been wronged.

"Good girl" Tyrel checked his pocked and found a bank card.

"Pei, my child we are still a family please take this card and let it help, though the amount is not that huge but it will be of great help" he said as a father and thought that maybe by giving her money she will have to go and will not bother them again.
