The Woeful Tale of an npc 6 Into the Darkness

Waking up from the nightmares, my fur is damp with sweat. It has been a long time since that memories.

My body creaked and bones feel heavy, my bones maybe old but they're not rusty but still old nonetheless, and the pain of old age is still there.

I doubt that there would be anyone in this village that would ever understand or know of my past. Perhaps they will, perhaps they won't but still, at least the past will stay the past.

I looked out the window as I shook and wipe my body with a towel to dry myself off the sweat. The breeze of the afternoon brush past, filling my hovel with cool air. Then I just as I was grabbing my honey mead and some smoke tuna, I heard a panting voice running to my hut.

"....hah...hah...hah...wheeze...wheeze..."

It was Rugwald, that rascal, the one Felis in this entire village that I really, really not want to meet, if it not one trouble with stealing people pumpkins then it's another troubles with stealing fish. There are more complaints about him from people than that troublesome father of his, at least his father's a warrior worthy of respect.

"Old Jtok, Old Jtok." Rugwald panting voice said.

"What kid, wadda ya want? Oh by the way, Mrs. Gus said that if you ever steal from her pumpkin patches again, she'll shave all your hair and have you marched around the village as a lesson."

"She's a grumpy old woman that what she is." The rascal replied

"but, but Old Jtok, you gotta listen to dis!"

and Rugwald proceeds to tell me what has happened.

A dreadful feeling arose from my tail, it was a feeling so long ago that I thought I would never will know again. But now, it's back. Rushing into my hut, I tore off the floorboards and in there was a crate the length of my entire body.

I open the crate, and from there I took up an axe and a shield. It has been so long since I took up this axe that are made of mithril. The axe will shine blue in presence of evil and this axe was shining to the point of almost blinding. After all these years covered in dust and time, it is still as sharp as the day it was gifted to my father.

The shield is of a rock turtle shell, all rough and hard but quite light and fit well on my arm. Upon the side of the shield was the words "To Jtok, from Alina." This wasn't my mother's, my mother's shield has already been buried with my mother ashes, this shield was made from a trophy my mother made on my 15th birthday, when I came of age. It was my first shield. It was this shield that carried me through many adventures and kept me safe.

My mother, a great shield maiden she was, the only person my father ever feared. She was a mighty warrior, and the fearsome god of the kitchen. The Gods rest their soul, they were honored the old ways.

As for the blue cloak human from Rugwald description, he's most likely Mr. Blue, or...haha...Old Man Blue by now. We had fun, we did. Slaying dragons and Orks, even stole from a King once.....I think he still had a quite generous bounty on him.

Regardless, Wumpas are generally peaceful apes, they don't attack unless they're provoked and they don't eat meat. They go after Paku and various fruits and nuts within the forest. Never do they act like a wild beast. The way the Wumpas being described by this kid, it remind me of the livestock that had once change before my very eyes before.

A Wumpas are usually the size of a black bear that's the size of a human children and certainly not the size of two human men. Its fur are never white, usually black or grey to avoid predators and bothersome hunters. So if I am right, the Dark Storm is back and with it, death and decay is coming.

I went and handed the rascal to some resting guards and tell them to prepare the village for an attack and tell the Elders to prepare for an possible evacuation.

With that, I set out and rush toward the dark. My father battleaxe, it has been so long since its blade was wet. This was what I used to save my family's soul and now, I really, really hope that I am wrong. For should I am right, it would be my sole burden to save everyone soul.
