The Situation in Her Bed Chapter 9.1

Before Sunghee could say anything, Sejin turned around and walked towards his car. He reached his car within only a few steps, and before she knew it, he drove away. This whole thing happened in just a few seconds. 

Standing in confusion, Sunghee blinked a few times. What… just happened? All she did tonight was to meet with Manager Min and tell him that she didn't want to see him anymore. Well, she did kiss the manager, but it was only to confirm her suspicion. She believed she wasn't meant to be with Seungju, and the kiss was just to make sure she was right. And she WAS! 

Why did Sejin have to be waiting for her tonight? And why wouldn't he let her even explain herself? Why did he get so angry? She chose him! She chose Sejin, so how could he tell her he didn't need her anymore?!

“You idiot! Sejin, you're a moron!”

Sunghee screamed. Just then, a middle aged man walking by glared at her and scolded her, 

“Miss, do you have any idea what time it is right now? Please keep quiet or I'm going to have to call the police!”

“Sorry.”

Sunghee flinched and apologized. The man glared at her a while longer before walking away. Sunghee blinked a few times before beginning to sniffle a little. She felt a few tears escaping her eyes.

That idiot Sejin! But Sunghee realized that all she needed to do was get him back. How hard could it be to convince a man like Ryu Sejin to date her? 

Feeling confident, Sunghee walked into the office. But… Sejin didn't even look at her once all morning. Even though they ended up bumping into each other twice in the break room, he refused to look her in the eyes. Sejin just walked away from her without a word. 

This couldn't be happening! She dumped Manager Min to be with Sejin! She gave up on a perfect man for Sejin! Sunghee couldn't lose him too. Gritting her teeth in frustration, Sunghee began to come up with a plan to get Sejin back. 

“Maybe I can pretend to get drunk at the office dinner and seduce him. I feel like this might be my best bet.”

Sunghee frowned and began writing her ideas down on a piece of paper. She murmured,

“A second option is to try to seduce him in the washroom. To remind him of what we did that night…”

But it seemed that this was going to be very difficult to achieve. That time in the washroom only happened because they were both working late. And the rest of the building was empty at the time. Besides, how was she going to force him into a woman's washroom?

“If I could meet him outside the office, I might be able to do something, but he hasn't answered any of my calls…”

Sunghee crumpled the paper in annoyance and pushed back her hair. Sejin had been ignoring her calls and refusing to talk to her. There were also other problems now. Since Sejin's appearance changed for the better, the other female workers in the building have been showing interest in him. Sejin also no longer slouched when he walked. It was Sunghee who made him look much better, but now it seemed that he was going to end up dating another woman. Feeling annoyed, Sunghee murmured, 

“Fine. I better work fast. I only have one chance, and I'm going to make it work, dammit!”

Feeling determined, Sunghee put on the sexy lingerie Sejin bought for her and got ready for work.

Seungju announced, 

“You all know that there is going to be a company anniversary party this Friday, right? I've informed the headquarters that everyone from our department will be attending, so please don't forget. They will be providing free food and drinks!”

Since that night when Sunghee told him they shouldn't see each other anymore, Seungju had been very professional around her. He never asked her out again or called her. Although he acted friendly to her as usual in the office, he no longer showed any interest in her. It was obvious he was used to dating many women before based on how calm he acted around her.

For a moment, Sunghee wondered if she made the wrong decision. Maybe she should've continued seeing Seungju. His kiss felt lukewarm, but he was still a great kisser. If she tried, she might have learned to like him more. And maybe Seungju really liked her. Did she make a huge mistake?

But then, whenever she saw Sejin, Sunghee couldn't control the boiling rage deep inside of her. She was reminded again of the despair she felt that night when Sejin rejected her. He told her he liked her the moment he first saw her. Just why didn't he tell her that from the beginning? If he had, things could've been different. She wouldn't have hesitated so much about who she should pick. Well… maybe she still would've contemplated her decision a little, but she had no doubt she would've picked Sejin. 

Why did he have to threaten her to sleep with him? Why couldn't he just tell her how he felt? That idiot!

Sunghee had been watching Sejin all day at the office. When she saw him leave, perhaps to the washroom, she looked around to see that no one was paying any attention to her. Slowly, she followed him out.
