The Overlord - Naruto Fanfiction (COMPLETED) Chapter 26: Gaia's Presence.

It had been a very ugly day for the family Tazuna had and Team 7. Tazuna's grandson, Inari had an anger issue, and got angry at Team 7, for trying to fight Gato, as if he was a 'god' and no one could defeat him.

Flash Back No Jutsu

Ryu smiled as he ate a soup given to them by Tsunami, a beautiful blue haired young woman. She was very kind to them, She reminded him of Kushina, only a less scarier version of her, and with blue hair.

Team 7 were talking about the battle with the Squadron of Jounins, dispatched by Gato, and were laughing about it. Inari's face turned a bit dark, and tears fell from his face,"...Gato will kill you all! He is too strong for you guys!" He shouted.

Ryu raised an eyebrow,"What's up shortie? You said anything?!" He shouted back , Inari did not back off as he yelled at them again," Jin will scorch you all alive, Zabuza will cut you into small pieces… It's useless, why are you struggling uselessly?!" He shouted and sobbed in the same time.

Ryu started to laugh,"You brat, your name is Inari right?! We are shinobis, we are used to struggles. You think our lives were all easy?! We trained our asses off, a person like Gato… I can destroy him myself."

Inari froze but then shouted,"You don't understand what I mean! You don't stand a chance against Gato's men… He has an army, you are only a small team!" Ryu smiled as he neared Inari and ruffled his hat," I promise, I'll defeat Gato, and bring his unconscious body to you."

Inari glared at him,"Besides, if we die… We'll die, not much to complain 'bout. At least I had the chance to taste such delicious soup before my death, my parents will be really sad about it though." Ryu laughed.

The small boy gritted his teeth, a boy his age was… Talking to him as if he was an adult… He couldn't have thought of something more weird… But why did he feel relief after this talk? He couldn't explain it

Flashback no Jutsu - Release!

Ryu stretched his arms,'Having so many training sessions with Yato and Ken is becoming really hard… It's draining my stamina, but I guess it's for the best'

A week had passed since the confrontation with Zabuza,Jin,Kuro and Koji. Team 7 was recovering their stamina and calming down a bit. The jounins were also teaching the genins some stuff.

Some jutsus there and here, all C Rank. Any lower would be useless for the battle, any higher would seriously cause a drain in their Chakra, what they didn't know was that all of them had jounin chakra reserves now.

Ryu was making sure their growth was at least 5% stronger each day, and it was working perfectly, he could sense that the root of Hamura's power in Yato had sprouted, signifying he was the true heir to Hamura's powers.

Ken did not possess the power of Hagoromo, or anyone, however Ryu could sense a special chakra growing inside him daily, perhaps it was just Ken's will taking shape, or perhaps it was something special.

Tazuna woke up him from his thoughts,"I want to go check the bridge, but I think Gato already has his men ready to attack me when I go there… I need you guys to escort me." He said as he put on his onion shaped hat.

Ryu nodded," There is no need for all of us to come, so let me and my friends come, one of you can also come, sensei. It's pointless to all go, and the house needs protection."

Yamato nodded,'He is a natural born leader' He looked at Hayate and said,"Let me go, I can support Ryu in case he uses the Wood Element too." Hayate and Yugao nodded, they didn't really want to fight anyway.

Ken and Yato smiled,'We are not going to struggle against just one Jounin anymore.' The two were now jounin level, despite not being at the level of Jin or any of the four, the two together could make up for a good battle for any of them.

Ryu frowned at the sight before them, mist covered the entire bridge, little could be seen, Yamato motioned at Tazuna, and he walked towards him,Ryu groaned,'The mist has been set up hours ago, I can't negate it anymore'

Of course it was still possible but it would exploit most of his chakra, and would be pretty useless.

"Yato!" Ryu shouted, and the Hyuuga activated his bloodline, he no longer wore bandages around his forehead, while the seal was still there, with Hamura's presence inside him, it was no longer effective, but unless Yato himself desired it, the seal would remain there.

" I can sense five presences inside the mist, 2 Water Clones, a Chunin and Two Jonins." Yato said,"Locate them for us." Ryu said and Yato told them the location of each of them. With a single look from Ryu, Ken dashed forward.

Ryu looked at Yamato and said,"Yamato-san, I need your help, give me some chakra!" He said as he clasped his hands,"Wood Style - Gaia's Presence!" He shouted as several roots popped out from the ground, spreading everywhere, underground and in the surface.

"Water Style - Water Dragon Fangs!" Yamato shouted and exhaled several waves of Water, which took the form of sharp spikes, almost like fangs, the jutsu flew over the mist, and the sound of a clone turning to water was heard.

Ryu smiled,'The Roots told me where everyone is.' He then flicked one of his fingers, and another clone turned to water. " The Clones have been defeated… Now for that Chunin." He said slowly.

Suddenly a senbon flew at him, almost hitting his neck, but ultimately failing to do so as Yamato created a plank of wood which stopped the senbon. Ryu then created a Wood Clone, which took his place, while his original body was sucked into the earth.
