"It seems that you and your sisters truly have a harmonious relationship.", Qian Yu heard a masculine voice behind her just as she was about to enter her courtyard. Sure enough, the Great General has come to interrogate her.

Qian Yu secretly rolled her eyes before she turned around to curtsy to Chu Han Yun. "You haven't gone to rest yet, husband?"

"Hmph!", the general snorted softly before lifting his foot to walk ahead of his wife into the latter's courtyard. He then gave a signal to the manservant beside him before the latter left to get something.

Qian Yu followed the manservant with her eyes, wondering what the Great General has in store for her once again. Once the manservant was out of view, she then turned to follow her husband.

Just as the two sat down in front of each other, Qian Yu can no longer hold back her curiosity. She first poured some tea for the general before asking, "Do you have something you need from me?"

Chu Han Yun looked at Qian Yu first. "Lunch."

"Do you mean to say that you'd want to eat lunch with me?", Qian Yu asked with a hint of disbelief in her words. 'Or is this his way of extracting information from me? He'll make me drop my guard down while we are having our meal?'

Chu Han Yun's eyebrows twitched unnoticeably at her tone of voice. 'Is there something wrong with having a meal with my wife?!'

However, without leaking his true thoughts on his face, he just nodded.

It didn't take a while before the manservant earlier came back with a couple other maidservants behind him. On their hands are food boxes containing a sumptuous meal from the kitchen. The servants placed the meal in front of their masters. When everything was already in order. They withdrew to the side to wait for their next orders.

Both Chu Han Yun and Qian Yu aren't used to having someone else attend to them so they signalled the servants away.

"Why did the General decide to have a meal with this little wife today?", Qian Yu asked once they started eating.

'Isn't it good etiquette to not talk when eating?', Chu Han Yun berated in his head. However, as a military man, he had long foregone this etiquette so he himself doesn't really follow it. He was just looking for something to nitpick though.

Yet, even when that is what is going through his head, the two of them had already decided during their wedding night that they will act as real husband and wife. He can't be the one to start a war of words here. Humph!

"Does the princess disdain having this general accompany you in your meals?", Chu Han Yun asked back.

"Of course not!", Qian Yu answered immediately. Putting on an innocent face, she further emphasized, "It is always an honor to eat together with my husband, the Great General of Xin Kingdom."

'Picking a fight?', Chu Han Yun can't help but glare at the woman who was just being sardonic with her words. However, seeing that the woman was putting on an innocent act, he can't help but just sigh his frustration away.

Qian Yu sniggered inside her heart. She actually finds it fun to tease her husband. Just a few words and you'd be able to see him frustrated. Perhaps, it is due to the fact that the general has never had to deal with women before, that is why he is having a hard time dealing with her teasing.

"Well, it can indeed increase one's appetite if one has someone to eat with.", Qian Yu seriously added to her words.

The two kept quiet as they continue with their meals. The two doesn't really have that much to talk about as they have just recently known each other despite now being husband and wife. They finished their meals in silence.

"What do you intend to do this afternoon?", Chu Han Yun asked as the servants are clearing away the table after their meal.

"I intend to sort out the courtyard.", Qian Yu truthfully said. "As you've known, my sisters have brought a few maidservants. They needed to be named and assigned their tasks. The courtyard will probably be a bit bustling later as we also have to arrange some of my stuff. Why?"

"Nothing." Chu Han Yun replied as he got up.

"Leaving already?", Qian Yu gracefully stood as well to send her husband off.

Chu Han Yun nodded. "I'll be in the training ground for the entire afternoon. If you need something, let the head housekeeper know. You can also send a servant to the training ground."
