As Qian Yu visited Lou Yi late into the night, it was no wonder that the latter woke up late in the morning. When Lou Yi's maidservants heard movements inside the room, they immediately knocked on the door.

"Second Princess, are you awake?"

"En."

Three maidservants who are around fifteen years of age swiftly entered the room, bringing a wash basin, washcloth, and a change of clothes with them inside for their mistress to wash up. These were the trustworthy maidservants she had brought over from the Kingdom of Zhao. Once they've placed the items on the table, they immediately helped Lou Yi up.

Initially, Lou Yi felt awkward when her maidservants helped her to such an extent. However, after living her life as an ancient era princess for so long, she had grown accustomed to it. Of course, she is only used to having her three maidservants helping her, not with anyone else.

"Princess, should we bring the meal inside the room?", Xiao Cui, the taller one of the three maidservants, asked.

"Hmmm.", Lou Yi thought for a while before answering. "Bring it to the lakeside pavilion. I'll take my breakfast there. It shouldn't be misty there anymore as it is already late in the morning."

"Alright.", Xiao Cui and Xiao Ning, the other maidservant, respectfully nodded and went out to carry her orders.

Xiao Mei, the maidservant with watery peach-colored clothing, was left behind to continue helping their mistress. When Lou Yi sat down in front of the copper mirror, Xiao Mei automatically picked up the brush to help her tidy up her hair.

Not long after, Xiao Cui returned to the room to inform Lou Yi that her meal is ready. Seeing that Xiao Mei did a good job in tying her hair, she nodded and stood up to go to the pavilion. As the pavilion wasn't too far from her courtyard, she didn't have to walk for a long time just to reach it.

Upon reaching the pavilion, she saw Xiao Ning standing to the side, guarding the food. She secretly nodded her head in satisfaction at her three maidservants. It seems that they are still as alert as ever. Xiao Mei stayed behind with her at the room as the two others prepared her food. Xiao Cui went back to her room to tell her the food is ready while Xiao Ning stayed to make sure that the food doesn't get tampered with.

One should not underestimate these three maidservants even when they look young. The reason why these three were the only maidservants serving by her side is simply because not only are they capable but they are also trained with martial arts. They can both serve and protect her when needed. After all, unlike Qian Yu who was like a sponge in absorbing martial arts knowledge, Lou Yi only know a bit of martial art, just enough to protect herself. That was why these three maidservants are indispensable to her.

Upon reaching the table, she gracefully took her seat and mentally said her thanks for the food. There is no tradition of praying before meals in this era, yet her habit of giving thanks before the meal in her previous lifetime - or was it in the dream? - was long ingrained in her subconscious. To avoid people becoming suspicious of her, she simply says her prayers in her mind.

Just as she picked up her chopsticks to start eating, she saw one of the little servants in the manor rushing toward her. Usually, when there is nothing going on, these little servants will not bother her, a foreign princess offered as a tribute to their kingdom. Though they were respectful, they also keep a distance from her. Lou Yi didn't mind it as this arrangement made it easier for her to carry out her plans.

"This servant greets this Second Princess.", the little servant curtseyed.

"Dispense the formalities.", Lou Yi graciously said and put down her chopsticks.

"This servant apologizes for disturbing your meal but the Prime Minister is outside and wishes to see Second Princess."

'Prime Minister?', Lou Yi secretly raised an eyebrow at those words. Isn't that her soon-to-be husband? Why did that man come running to his manor again so early in the morning?
