1.
Kim Taehoon learned quite a bit of information through the monster corpses. And he shared that information with the other survivors.
But not everything. There was something he didn’t tell people.
The fact that he, Kim Taehoon, had tried to use his telekinesis on the corpse of a monster.
The power of his telekinetic ability wasn’t limited to lifting a bulky guy’s body up in the air while simultaneously choking him.
If Kim Taehoon really wanted to kill him, he could have just twisted the guy’s head a 180 degrees and been done with it.
Kim Taehoon didn’t tell them about it but now showed them.
Kaboom!
The Black Orc that was slaughtering the remaining survivors suddenly got flung away and crashed into a wall.
Crack!
The wall the Black Orc got smashed into was cracked hard and parts of the wall fell down to the floor.
“AHHHHH”
The impact was so powerful it caused the people who heard the crash to automatically scream out.
Krrrr!
But the Black Orc didn’t seem to be fazed by this, not even a little bit.
Rather, its orange eyes stared directly at Kim Taehoon, the only one who had attacked, out of the numerous survivors trying to escape to the B1 underground level.
Kim Taehoon clenched his teeth.
‘It’s at a whole different level of strength.’
In front of the Black Orc’s stare, Kim Taehoon tried to hold on to the image he was visualizing in his head so that it wouldn’t fade away. Just like slapping a mosquito on the wall, he imagined smashing the Black Orc with his hand to the wall.
He knew the moment the image faded away inside his head, the telekinesis would also go away.
KWAAAA!
The Black Orc let out a horrible roar while still stuck to the wall.
The roar spread out immediately and stunned every living thing.
Bam!
“Argh!”
Many of the survivors trying to escape froze after hearing that sound collapsed.
“Gasp!”
Some of the elderly even clutched their chests as they collapsed to the floor.
Even Kim Taehoon wasn’t safe from the fear the Black Orc’s shout had caused.
‘Fucking hell.’
Kim Taehoon’s stomach and brain were frozen solid. His thoughts had also been frozen with that coldness.
Of course, the image that Kim Taehoon held disappeared.
KWAA!
Black Orc didn’t miss the chance. The freed orc verified where Kim Taehoon was then rushed towards him.
Thump, thump, thump!
There was nothing to stop the Black Orc.
Smash!
People who had collapsed on the floor had their heads smashed like watermelons under the Black Orc’s feet.
BAM!
The aisles and their products were destroyed outright as the orc charged through them.
The Black Orc’s speed wasn’t slowed down by the obstacles but instead became faster for every step it took.
It was obvious that it was going to be terrifying if the Orc hit someone!
But Kim Taehoon didn’t run away from the Orc.
“Whew!”
Kim Taehoon focused his mind, as the Orc rushed like a train on its track and the distance became closer and closer. He visualized an image in his mind again.
‘I must catch it if I can’t stop it.’
The image in his mind was of four giant chains created with telekinesis, each wrapped around one of the Black Orc’s limbs, then pulled as strong as he could.
Bam!
The moment the image was clear in his head, Black Orc’s speed started to slow down.
Bam!
The Black Orc eventually stopped.
But it didn’t just stop.
It looked like it was struggling to keep from spreading its arms and legs in four different ways.
Krrrr!
From its mouth, a growl came out as it struggled to withstand the force pulling it back.
Clench!
Kim Taehoon’s clenched his teeth in willpower to keep the Orc where it was.
It was Bhang Hyunwook who made a move at that point.
Bhang Hyunwook, who was standing behind Kim Taehoon, was the first one to overcome the fear of the Black Orc.
Energy!
It was that powerful force that squirmed inside his stomach.
Now Bhang Hyunwook approached the Black Orc to smash its head in with his overwhelming power.
“Haa!”
Bhang Hyunwook made a shout and his baseball bat came straight down on the Black Orc’s head.
Smash!
The baseball bat shattered into several pieces.
‘Huh?’
They were too strong.
The Black Orc’s body, as well as, Bhang Hyunwook’s strength.
The issue was, Bahng Hyunwook did not immediately realize it.
Kwwa!
Bhang Hyunwook’s attack was quite powerful, enough to cause the Black Orc to be furious but cautious.
KWAAA!
The Black Orc again roared its fear out again.
However, it wasn’t directed towards Bhang Hyunwook.
‘Shit!’
It was directed at Kim Taehoon who recognized he was getting distracted by that roar of fear.
“Run!”
The moment Kim Taehoon felt his power loosen, he yelled a warning to Bhang Hyunwook.
BAM!
By the time the yell reached Bhang Hyunwook the Black Orc’s fist had already landed a punch on Bhang Hyunwook’s chest.
‘Gasp!’
Bhang Hyunwook couldn’t even make a gasping sound before being thrown back towards Kim Taehoon.
Bang!
Kim Taehoon and Bahng Hyunwook were tangled up together and fell to the floor.
Kim Taehoon had a moment of regret.
‘... It’s my mistake.’
He thought the monsters could appear at any time.
It was Kim Taehoon himself who claimed the hypothesis that the monsters could appear without any limitation to space.
He was also able to predict the appearance of stronger monsters. The ability stats and the ranking system of the awakened were proof of that.
If the abilities were for the awakened to survive the monsters, if the awakened could get stronger, that meant the monsters could be stronger as well.
‘Fucking hell.’
So he should have expected a possible situation like this—that stronger monsters could appear without any sign or notice—and prepared for it.
KWAA!
The only fortunate thing right now was that the Black Orc was full of confidence, and had dropped its guard a little bit.
The Orc was screaming with joy at the fact that it had punched the person who had hurt him.
If Kim Taehoon was that Orc, he would have checked to see if Bhang Hyunwook were dead.
Kim Taehoon didn’t miss the chance.
Also, he didn’t want to repeat the same mistake.
Kwaaaaa…. Ha!
‘Shut up.’
First, he made the Black Orc shut its mouth.
Grab!
He then pictured chains wrapped around the Orc’s neck and pulling the chains back.
The Black Orc’s body reeled back from the pulling.
Gak, gak!
But it didn’t collapse.
It started to focus strength into its legs, stomach, back, and neck to resist being dragged by that force.
It glared at Kim Taehoon with its orange eyes as it resisted the pull. It resisted the force that was clamping its mouth down.
Splutter!
Its mouth was continuously twitching.
Clench!
Kim Taehoon’s teeth started to make more sounds as well.
At that moment, Kim Taehoon wanted to shout out.
< I don’t care who it is, please bring the forklift and stick it into this fucking monster’s damn body!>
‘Fuck.’
But he couldn’t open his mouth.
The moment he opened his mouth, his strength was going to get weaker and the moment he lost it, he knew that the Black Orc would immediately take the chance to finish him.
The only thing Kim Taehoon was holding out for was.
Ba-boom….. Ba-boom…..
The sound of Bhang Hyunwook’s still beating heart.
