Yao Cheng was a bit surprised at the discomfiture he had noted in his father's demeanor. His father had been in the political arena for a very long time and had, therefore, long since established his influence and foothold. Inwardly, she heaved a sigh of relief. Then she tried to release herself from the confines of Wang Feng's arms, but to no avail. No matter how much strength she put forth, she remained trapped. She could not escape his grip at all.

The thick scent of alcohol hit her nose, causing her to frown slightly. When she stared at Wang Feng's calm face though, she suddenly felt a sense of peace in her heart.

In order to protect her, this young man had risked his own life and went up against a bunch of armed robbers. If Wang Feng had not been there at the time, she could not even imagine what would have happened to her.
