Who Is The Dirty One

「So, where’s the place with slimes?」

I ask Torr as we walk along the road between the fields of Koryatt village.

「I often saw them near the river and forest! First, we’ll head to the river, where we always play at!」

「Huh? But it’s closer to go to the forest from here, we’re not going to the forest first?」

It’s really closer from here to the forest.

The river where we always played is in the direction close to the mansion, so it will take more time to walk there from Koryatt village. 

If you want to efficiently visit those two places, then shouldn’t we go to the river after going to the forest first?

Hearing my simple question, Torr and Asmo - who were walking - suddenly stopped.

「……what would Al do if you found slimes in the forest?」

「I will immediately go back to make slime pillow」

「As expected from Al, you understand us!」

It would be cruel of me if I were to say goodbye - as soon as I got the slime - to Torr and Asmo after I took them out in the middle of their work and ask them to guide me.

Looking at it from Torr and Asmo’s perspective, just being able to sneak away from such tough work is already something to celebrate, guess I should hang out with them more as a friend.

I already got the cover for the slimes from Tori, so I just have to stuff them inside.

It’s going to be fine to return by the evening.

And as Asmo said, it’s not a bad idea to cool ourselves down in the river.

I’ve been using only Ice magic to cool off recently, so I wanted to enjoy cooling myself using the blessing of nature a bit.

「What the heck! It’s hot right now, so it’s fine if you use it now right! You said that even though you’ve always been using it while going outside these days!」

「Noー, we can’t use it now. If we enjoy the cold air of Ice magic now, then the joy of cooling ourselves in the river will feel disappointing as a result」

Though Torr and Asmo told me that in a desperate manner, I shook my head and reject their plea.

I’m already in the mood of cooling off and relaxing in the river. I don’t feel like using Ice magic now.

Rather, I don’t think that they won’t care about going to the river anymore if I were to use Ice magic now.

「Al is really fixated on the strangest place, aren’t you」

The two of them are heavy and since the three of us are crowding together, the temperature also rose.

Actually, I’m not good with heat so I want to quickly use Ice magic like what these two asked, and I can’t resist the self-destructing attack from these two.

After I shouted so, I made Ice using Ice magic and shove it into Torr and Asmo’s back.

So we shouted after we reached the usual river while being drenched in sweat.

In the end, I compromise and use magic to actually use the primitive method to cool ourselves and overcome the rugged path here by holding ice inside our mouths and hands.

There’s the tragedy of dropping the ice when we fight for them on the way, but we manage to safely finish our journey here without anyone missing.

We were showered with the scorching hot sunlight during our hike, so we rushed at full speed toward the river to cool our hot and burnt bodies down.

And after I took off my shoes, I take a plunge into the river with my clothes on, as if thinking that it was troublesome and it will take too long. 

And when I enter the water, it was as if the previous heat and unpleasant sweat that was tormenting me until a while ago were nothing more than a lie. And in exchange for those are the extremely refreshing feeling I felt in my whole body. It felt like the heat from my burnt body and the drops of ball-like sweat on my skin were immediately washed away.

I saw Torr and Asmo jumping into the water with splashing sounds - one after another -when I opened my eyes while in the water.

The both of them look so happy.

 
It became difficult for me to hold my breath underwater as I checked on the two’s state, so I went to the surface to breathe for a moment.

「Puhaaa! It feels good!」

Then Torr and Asmo also shouted after me.

Torr and Asmo washed their faces several times and appears to be enjoying the coldness of the water.

The flowing water is cold, and it cools off our hot bodies thoroughly.

Water suddenly flew toward my face as I laughed while looking at those two’s appearance.

「My hands are big, and I’m confident that I can splash a lot of water at you」

Torr and Asmo laughed fearlessly while making gestures with both of their hands.

Certainly, looking at it with common sense, it’s a situation of two versus one. What’s more, Asmo’s body is bigger than mine, and his palms are also big so it’s quite disadvantageous for me.

However, this is a world with magic. So I can deal with that one way or another.

「Now then, I’m starting, all right?」

「「Wa, wait wait waitー! Kupee!?」」

So I said, I hurl the water current toward Torr and Asmo as they were quickly swallowed by it.
