Soon after they parted ways Max, Derek, Isaac, Boyd and Erica reached their training ground. As soon as they reached there, they saw Scott being tied up and placed inside a mountain ash circle.

Max was confused watching this, because when he sensed here he saw a dozen of berserkers. Max then didn't bother much as he went forward and broke the mountain ash barrier and reached out to Scott and untied him. Derek and others also came by his side. Max shook Scott and woke him up with some ki.

Scott who woke up saw Max and others standing by and shouted, "Guys, run!!! This is a trap!!!"

As soon as he said this nearby all the surroundings started to explode. Max's pupil shrunk and he immediately cast a energy barrier around them using most of his ki. There explosion continued on as it continuously chucked away Max's energy.

The explosion continued on for three minutes. Max was covered in sweat by the time it was finished. Isaac, Boyd and Erica was shivering listening to the explosions outside the barrier, but at the same time they were shocked to see Max using this wired kind of barrier that could hold off explosions like this.

Derek was relieved that Max came in with them. He didn't know what would've happened if Max wasn't here at this time.

As soon as the explosions ended a couple of dozens of berserkers started walking towards from all directions. Everyone frowned watching this, and they knew that this was gonna be tough getting out of this situation.

Max who watched this was pissed off. He didn't know why, but he felt something amiss, he didn't know what. So he decided to finish off these berserkers first and think about it later.

He took out his combat knife and infused it with chakra as he was almost out of ki and started running around and slicing every berserker that he reached. He didn't let all of them get closer as he'd be stuck so he sliced off their legs one by one. After a few minutes he started to finish them off, while Derek and others also joined in as the berserkers were unable to move right now.

By the time they took care of all the berserkers Max was panting heavily.

Max then turned to Scott and asked, "Your did they catch you?"

"Yesterday after I reached home, around six berserkers came at the same time. I couldn't fight them off. They knocked me out and when I woke up, I was here. And I saw those berserkers plant bombs all over the place. When they noticed that I was awake, they again knocked me out. And this time I won't up, you were here and you know the rest." Scott said with a serious expression.

Max then asked, "What about your mom? It's she alright?"

Scott said with a smile, "She's out of town. Thank God for that."

Max checked the number, but it was unknown, so he received it and said, "Hello."

The playful voice said, "Don't tell me you didn't like my bombs? I thought you liked making traps."

Max hearing this frowned and said, "Who are you?"

Everyone was startled that Jackson actually called Max at this time. But out of everyone's expectation Max said, "You're not Jackson. Tell me who you are?"

As soon as Max heard this he was enraged. He shouted, "You touch my family, I'll find you wherever you are and shred you to pieces!!!"

The voice said, "Tsk tsk tsk. You don't get to make the rules. I'm the gamer. I make the rules and you play by it. So tell me, Maxwell, which one is your pick today?"

Max was getting angrier and angrier by the minute. He asked, "I don't think I know you, and I don't think that I ever bothered you, so why are you doing this?"

The voice from the other side said, "Why? Why? WHY?!!!!! Because you took everything from me. You have to suffer just like I did. One by one. I'll take everyone away from you. Isaac and Erica also had the same question. Derek frowned and said, "Don't talk about this now. Let's go to his home." And they started running.
