Starlight Has No Past Chapter 4 part1

Starlight Has No Past

Chapter 4 Part 1

Ye Qiao blankly looked at the cigarette in his hand without saying anything.
Zhou Tingshen slightly raised the tip of his eyebrows and let the ash fall off
the cigarette.

After a while, Ye Qiao turned to look at the needle with a blank look.

The pain from the shot was much less than when the nurse was treating her
wound. Ye Qiao lightly pressed her lips together and kept silent. After the shot,
the nurse gently smiled: “Nowadays girls are all quite squeamish. I don't see
many like you.” She turned to talk to Zhou Tingshen: “Young man, you should
cherish her.”

There was no point in explaining. Ye Qiao took her cell phone out from her bag
and lowered her head to check messages in order to cover up her embarrassment.
However, her right hand was bandaged up like a bun and it was hard to hold the
cell phone. The phone dropped onto the floor.

Zhou Tingshen quickly extinguished the cigarette and went over to pick it up for her.

A new message happened to appear as he was picking it up. He glanced at the
name of the sender: Gu Jin.

Zhou Tingshen opened the contact list and added his number. Then he returned
the phone to her: “That's my phone number. Before you come over here tomorrow,
send me a message, or you can come knock on my door…...you know my password
anyway.”

As he spoke seriously, his eyebrows were slightly furrowed the entire time.

Ye Qiao cast her eyes over the numbers, but didn't take the phone: “And name.”

Zhou Tingshen took the phone back and punched in his name character by character.

Zhou Tingshen.

Ye Qiao took her phone back and glanced over it. She almost laughed at his
earnestness. He had put in his name, email, birthday, social media account, and
his family address. He even put down his work number, with an extension number.

Maybe it was because that they were getting more familiar with each other, Zhou
Tingshen smiled warmly and teased her: “Are you satisfied now?”

Would a person's looks give the wrong impression to others? Even when he was
frivolous, he still seemed quite composed.

“Your profession?”

The white curtain in the room slowly floated up. He lifted his eyebrows and replied
with an imposing attitude: “A fugitive.”

A cold front was passing through, it was always raining in G City lately. Ye Qiao
woke up almost everyday to the sound of rain outside, then she would send a
message to Zhou Tingshen to go the hospital.  Sometimes, she would wake up in
the middle of the night and send a message to ask him about something. He would
reply then as well.

It looked like this man didn't have a real profession. She could get in touch with him
almost any time of the day. Ye Qiao recalled the night they first met and couldn't stop
thinking that maybe his profession was shady somehow. There were even times that
she seriously considered the possibility of the word “fugitive.”

It seemed that she had become obsessed with the man.

She seemed to know everything about him, yet, in reality, she didn't know anything
about him.

Since her hand was still healing, Ye Qiao had turned down all events that required
her to fly to other cities. She commuted from home to the hospital everyday. The
only way for her to keep in touch with the outside world was by the internet.

had received great reviews and it had done well in the box office
as well which was quite unusual for a drama. Her Weibo fans skyrocketed to well
over 2 million people. The comments under the post she put up a half month ago
increased dramatically, all urging her to post some more.

Ye Qiao checked her friend circle and discovered that it was Cheng Jiang's birthday
today. The messages were full of #Happy Birthday, Cheng Jiang#. A lot of famous
actors were sending  birthday wishes to her.

She suddenly understood why the news conference for the shooting of
was scheduled for today.
