Shiki v2c9 part1

And Mutou's saying sorry in the end of the chapter is very touching. Even surrounded by plague, I wonder if most people feel that they and their family are invincible, that they will not catch whatever disease which is spreading, that it'll be someone other's story and not theirs. No one wants to think that something as terrible as this could happen to them, after all. I wonder if this is also the case with Toshio and Seishin. I sorta feel like this could be applied to Seishin.

Now that I'm officially on semester break, I hope to (actually) learn Japanese. I've started a little, with verb conjugations and adjectives. I also have time, so I think I better try to memorize as much verbs and adjectives as I can. I wonder if starting from this point is the wisest thing to do, considering I don't really know my own level... But at the moment these have my utmost interest. (Thank God that I already got the very basic stuffs at high school really) Thread Reply to this Thread Hide 4 comments Show 4 comments no subject sinnesspiel 2014-03-10 06:24 pm (UTC)(link) Seishin did want to go traipsing around Yamairi where it all started, again, to see what was going on. Either he still wants to die or he thinks he's invincible. The Junior Doct just TOLD your stupid ass to be careful, mountain man!

What are the high school basics you know? I'd say practicing conjugations is good practice for any level. Usually people just think that nothing bad could happen to them, that they could make it to the end unscathed somehow... Which is actually stemmed from not wanting to think that anything bad could happen to them, probably more than thinking that they're invincible. All in all I think Seishin is a curious case. He's amazingly slow when it comes to his own self.

In high school I learned some particles, prepositions, the differences between imasu and arimasu... Very basic stuffs. Didn't get to learn a lot about verbs, a bit more about nouns. Also it was more about practicing on hiragana and katakana. Only a few kanjis were introduced. Despite every stupid assed thing he does, he comes out unscathed, and then becomes defacto invincible instead of shrouded in just plot armor.

Did you learn verb roots at least? Once you have that, it's just a matter of drilling the specific forms until it becomes habit. You can definitely do it. Japanese is hella difficult though. After Japanese I got German (didn't want to part from Japanese but since everything in my country is mandatory I couldn't do anything. Perhaps I only got to learn Japanese for a year or so I forgot) German is easier because it's closer to English, in my opinion.

Ayy thanks! Though since I'm doing it on my own it'll be a very long time till I could reach my level with English, say. (my English is mostly self-taught too and it took years. I'm still learning of course. The problem is I procrastinate a lot since I'm not exactly language enthusiast) Thread Reply to this Thread from start Parent
