/ Queen Bee 5 Chapter Five
As Lara Crisostomo's lip-synch has done it well. Nobody noticed that she is doing that. Even the judges are fooled. Then, Lara did it again. She scored the talent portion. She believed that she can defeat the crowd's darling, Maggie Chelsea, or even the newbie, Rachel Enrique.
As she went back to the backstage, she thanked her dear sweet twin sister, Lisa.
Now, it's Candy Romano's turn to shine on stage. She would not sing nor dance. She decided to do her own tap dancing, which she learned when she was three years old. She is trained to do it. She memorized her own choreography. She performed with a smile on her face. She amazed the audience. Even her dear boyfriend, Randy Sarmiento, cheered for her. She is the best tap dancer who performed at that night.
When, it's Maggie Chelsea's turn to wow the audience, everybody is expecting something interesting or amazing about her performance to be. But, she didn't disappoint them.
She sang and danced like Britney with the pop single, "Hold It Against Me!"
"If I said my heart was beating loud; If we could escape the crowd somehow; If I said I want your body now, Would you hold it against me? Cause you feel like paradise and I need a vacation tonight. So if I said I want your body now, Would you hold it against me?"
As she sang this chorus, she sang her heart out with dedication to the man she loved, Randy Sarmiento, who ditched her for a girl named Candy Romano.
The last performer, who came late, is Rachel Enrique, in her costume. But, the head judge, Roselle Valiente, tried to stop her to come to the stage. Roselle was just confused why suddenly she is on their lists.
Rachel explained, "Ate Roselle, nabenta ko na ang mga tickets ko. Tinulungan ako ni Kuya Gabby na magbenta ng tickets. Maski tanungin mo pa kay JayDee."
Poor Gabby just nodded in agreement.
Then, Rachel tried to ask Jaydee to confirm what she said. And then, as the confirmation came from Jaydee, she was given a go-signal to perform in the talent portion with her duet, Gabby Samonte.
Gabby: (sings) This romeo is bleeding. But you can't see his blood. It's nothing but some feelings. That this old dog kicked up. It's been raining since you left me. Now, I'm drowning in the flood. You see I've always been a fighter. But without you I give up.
Rachel: (sings) Now I can't sing a love song. Like the way it's meant to be. Well, I guess I'm not that good anymore. But baby, that's just me.
Gab and Rach: (sing together) And I will love you, baby. Always. And, I'll be there forever and a day. Always. I'll be there till the stars don't shine. Till the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme, And I know when I die, you'll be on my mind. And, I'll love you. Always.
And then, the crowd cheered for both of them. They are all fan of Bon Jovi. And, their performance became no. 1 trend in Twitter.
As for the finale of this talent portion, as each contestant's points are computed from online votes of the audience and the judges' choice of vote. It's Rach who got the lead in the talent portion. She is going to have a head to head with Maggie Chelsea.
Tama nga ang plano ni Karen. Gagawin niya ang lahat para hindi dayain ni Roselle Valiente ang mga votes para mapunta lahat kay Maggie. She is doing this because she had enough with the greedy bullies. Now, she can get even with them.
So, like it is expected, Lara Crisostomo is on the 3rd rank, while Candy Romano is on the 4th rank. Still the crowd didn't notice that she is just doing the lip-synch. Good job, Lara!
Inside the dressing room, Rachel would like to approach Maggie to congratulate her. But, she is trying to avoid her. She is just upset why she was ranked in 2nd. But, Roselle promised her that she could gain the crown.
As Maggie swiftly went out of the dressing room to go home, and the other two girls noticed she keeps ignoring her old chum, Rach.
Sabi ni Lara, "Rach, hayaan mo muna siya. Maybe she needed a space."
Dagdag pa ni Candy, "Maraming issues yang babaeng yan. Pero, hayaan mo, maaayos din ang lahat. Magkakabati ulit kayo."
"Thanks, girls."
Now, Rachel became the darling of the crowd. Nice doing, Rach!
When Maggie tried to confront Roselle, Roselle had just apologized and told her, "There is always next time, Maggie. You can still do your best."
"But, I thought I am your favorite. Suddenly, why you are taking Rachel's side now?"
"It is not what you think. The crowd loved Rachel and Gabby performing a while ago, and I can't help it. Don't worry. There is still a second chance for you, Maggie. I can guarantee you that." said Roselle.
She is so mad and burst out her anger at Roselle, "But, we promised mom that I can win this beauty pageant and become the next president of Theta Phi Nu next year. How come you can't do your job?"
"You, stupid girl! I am not responsible for your failure. You are still a neophyte but you act like a weakling. How can I appoint you to be the next president next year? So, don't you dare to speak to me like that. If you still want to stay in this sorority, be kind to me and to your sisters. We are not your slaves. And, I am your mistress. Keep that in your mind." said Roselle sterly looked at Maggie.
When everybody left the auditorium, she was just at the doorstep sitting down and crying. She couldn't believe that she failed the talent portion. She thought everything would run smoothly until Rachel joined the pageant.
Mike was there saw her crying. He is lending her his hanky to wipe out her tears.
"Thanks, Mike."
"Ya know let's forget this whole thing. Let's go out and have fun. Do you want to have some couple of drinks at Club JC?" said Mike Valiente as he is trying to console her.
"If that's your treat, I would be glad to come with you."
Then, there goes the two new friends in Club JC. Dancing and partying. Many people saw them at that night. She felt she was treated like princess by her knight in shining armour.
The two became an item in gossips in Facebook and Twitter. It looks like now Rachel was ditched for a girl named Maggie.
