Queen Bee 2 2 Chapter Two

Habang nasa rehearsals ang mga candidates ng Ms. University 2017, biglang dumating si Lisa Crisostomo at ang Dean of Student Affairs.

Sabi ni Dean, "Girls, I would like you to meet Lisa Crisostomo. From now on, she would be assisting us in organizing this beauty pageant."

Candy had just rolled her eyes. She knew Lisa is a nerd, kaya ang sabi ba naman niya sa sarili niya, "Ano ba alam ni Lisa sa beauty pageant?"

At nagsalita na si Lisa, "Girls, I know you are excited in this coming coronation night, kaya galingan niyo."

Matapos n'un, iniwan na ng Dean si Lisa para makipag-coordinate sa mga finalists.

At saka inannounce ni Lisa ang kanyang plano para sa mga finalists, "This weekend, mag-out of town tayo sa isang beach resort sa Batangas. It would be fun. At kapag nasa Batangas na tayo, kalimutan muna natin ang beauty pageant. Mag-enjoy tayo."

Natuwa naman ang mga candidates sa plano ni Lisa. At ito naman si Sophie, nagaaalangan na pumunta kaya gumawa siya ng alibi, "Lisa, medyo short ako sa budget. Baka di ako makakapunta."

Sagot naman ni Lisa, "Don't worry about it, Sophie. Sagot ni Madame Carla Welch ang gagastusin sa outing."

Nagulat naman itong sina Candy at Maggie. At si Candy, "Kamamatay lang ng anak ni Mrs. Welch. Ano naman ang nakain niya at bakit siya mag-oorganize ng outing para sa atin? You mean, okay lang sa kanya na ipagpatuloy ang pageant na ito habang siya ay nagluluksa?"

Sinagot naman ni Lisa ang tanong ni Candy, "Candy, mabait si Mrs. Welch. Even she is kind of depressed right now due to the loss of her only daughter, mas iisipin pa rin niya ang naiwang trabaho niya. Kaya nga ako nandito, para ako ang maging substitute niya sa pag-organize ng pageant na ito."

Medyo nconfused si Maggie, she knew that she is not close to the Romero family, at ano ang dahilan kung bakit napili si Lisa para maging proxy ni Mrs. Welch.

Dumating ang araw na pinakahihintay. It's Saturday. Sabay-sabay na silang pumunta ng Batangas beach resort gamit ang van ni Mrs. Welch.

Pagdating nila sa beach resort, pinagpupulong muna ni Lisa ang mga finalists for the itenerary. Magsisimula muna sa fun game activity gaya ng frisbee. After that, they would have lunch. Follow with that, they can go swimming. At sa gabi, they would play truth and dare.

The girls agreed what is on the list. Except for Candy, which she thinks that this game activity is for the nerds like Lisa.

At dumating na ang gabi, na maglalaro sila ng truth and dare. And, it's Candy's turn to be the It for that game.

Tanong ni Lisa, "Truth or Dare?"

Sabi naman ni Candy, "Ok, truth!"

Biro pa naman ni Maggie, "Oh, you are really brave to answer her question."

Ngumiti si Lisa kay Maggie, at inumpisaha niya tanungin si Candy, "Napapansin ko lately, you are not drinking. Why?"

Sagot naman ni Candy, "It's just I don't feel drinking. I am not in the mood."

Dagdag pang katanungan ni Lisa, "You are not in the mood, or is it true that you are now pregnant with Randy Sarmiento?"

Candy looked at her sternly, "What if I am pregnant with Randy? He is my boyfriend."

Iba ang pakiramdam ni Maggie kapag napagusapan ang kanyang ex-boyfriend, which is now Candy's steady boyfriend.

Paalaala ni Lisa, "You know the rules, Candy. You will be disqualified in this pageant."

Sabi naman ni Candy, "I am not really pregnant."

Maggie is so curious if Candy is pregnant. So, she insisted, "What if we call Randy to let him tell the truth if you are really pregnant."

Nainis si Candy at tinanong niya si Maggie, "Why would you do that? Is it because you're jealous?"

At sumingit naman si Lisa, "Why wouldn't we call Randy to ask him?"

At nang iddial na ni Lisa ang number ni Randy sa kanyang cellphone, biglang nataranta si Candy.

"No, you can't call him! I don't want to tell him anything about my situation." sabi niya.

Nagulat silang lahat.

Dagdag pa ni Candy, "You can disqualify me if you want. I know you do not like me. But, I will tell you something. Randy and I have plans. After we graduate, we will get married. About this baby, I will name him Randy Sarmiento Jr. if it is a boy."

Hindi makapaniwala si Maggie nang nalaman niya na totoo pala ang tsismis na buntis nga si Candy. Para itong malaking sampal sa ego niya.

Lisa said, "Candy, we are proud that you have the courage to tell the truth about your situation. And, it is not true that we do not like you."

And so, Candy Romano is disqualified from the pageant. She called Randy that night para sunduin siya.

And, Maggie saw Candy and Randy embracing each other. And, she cried because she still feels the pain that Randy dumped her with another girl.

Lisa saw Maggie crying, and she comforted her.

Maggie asked, "Lisa, may itatanong lang ako sa iyo? Pangit ba ako? Ano ba ang meron yang Candy na yan at iniwan ako ng boyfriend ko."

Lisa advised, "Maggie, boys are really like that. I know it is hard. But, look at the bright side, at least hindi ikaw yung disgrasyada."

At natawa na lang si Maggie sa joke ni Lisa.

Lisa said, "So, apat na lang ang natitirang finalists. Wala na si Candy. Pero, watch out for your prodigy. Para kasing may tinatago siyang kulo."

Taka naman ni Maggie, "No. Sophie is nice. What do you mean of what you said? That she is kind of a wacko like Candy?"

Lisa answered her question, "Or, maybe worst. She is kind of wacko like Roselle Valiente. Can't you see her resemblance with that girl?"

Maggie insisted, "No. They are not related. Sophie is just a simple poor girl from her province. She can't be like Roselle."

Sabi naman ni Lisa, "Oo nga. In love ka na nga kay Mike. But, I am still here for you."

Niyakap niya si Lisa, "Thank you, Lisa for being a good friend."
