The sign (Welcome to Pleasantcity), reassures her about the upcoming meal. This hope, however, is abruptly shattered once the sign is passed. Rather than finding people happy to feed her, she is welcomed by the sad sight of a small ghost town.

Around the streets covered by a thick layer of grey dust that could be ashes, Jane stops to observe the rare remains of houses .

In various places, corpses in the form of mummies worn down by time are visible through this thick grey dust.

Jane shudders at the horror of some of the corpses, whose outstretched hand seems like a cry for help frozen in time.

One of these lifeless bodies is particularly well preserved. His eyes must have been eaten by the birds, but despite his empty eye sockets, the expression of suffering on his face, pointing to the sky, is testimony to the torment this man must have felt before he was freed by death.

His scream of pain, dull, can almost be audible to Jane, who is seized with discomfort and quickly looked away.
