My Princess Has Been Reborn Chapter 60.1

Chapter 60.1 – Ah Ning Is Still Sweet as Always

Although the accidental recognition of each other was unexpected, after the initial confusion, the rest was pure joy.

Qi Yang kept staring at Lu Qipei as if she couldn't get enough of her. Lu Qipei also felt different when she looked at Qi Yang. They spent the whole day looking at each other and talking about the past, until evening came and the sky started turning dark, and they eventually had to separate.

A carriage came to pick Qi Yang up to return to the palace, and Lu Qipei followed her inside without saying anything.

The coachman drove the carriage back towards the palace gates with a speed that was neither too fast nor too slow. Looking at the distance and the weather, all he needed to do was to get to the palace before the gates were locked. If he had driven too slowly, they wouldn't make it in time, but if he went too fast, Her Royal Highness The Princess would be unhappy.

The people around Qi Yang were always very insightful and good at what they do, and didn't need things to be explained to them specifically.

Qi Yang, who was sitting inside the carriage, was feeling a little downhearted. She looked at Lu Qipei and sighed, “If it wasn't because of Royal Brother's instruction, I wouldn't want to return to the palace today.” Not only did she not want to return to the palace, all she wanted was to stick to the person in front of her everyday.

Lu Qipei felt a little amused when she heard that, but she gave Qi Yang a very gentle look, “The future is still long, and the wedding isn't too far away now.”

Qi Yang sighed when she heard that. “Prince Consort, tell me. Do you think the longer the two of us live, the more we regress? Clearly we didn't even have to do anything in our past life, but Royal Father still granted us the marriage. How come now we went through so much trouble, but the wedding is still delayed for half a year…” She was really upset as she spoke.

Lu Qipei smiled uncontrollably when she heard this, and she said, “It's good that Ah Ning still remembers me.”

In fact, Lu Qipei hadn't really been attracted to Qi Yang in her previous life. She might have had a vague liking towards her, but before this affection could fully turn into love, she had already lost her life in the confusion. The fact that the two of them could really get together in this life was all thanks to Qi Yang's persistence.

When you were in love with someone, even your heart will be filled with them. It was a very happy thing to experience.

Qi Yang listened to Lu Qipei's gentle words that sometimes included words of love without she herself realizing it, and her heart went soft. But she still rubbed Lu Qipei's cheeks, and pretended to feel dissatisfied as she said, “What nonsense are you talking about? I have never thought of having any other Prince Consort!”

Lu Qipei became even happier when heard this, and she finally understood what Qi Yang was trying to explain about her past life. It turned out that Ah Ning's story wasn't about killing Lu Qicheng to avenge her – instead, she was trying to tell Lu Qipei that she had never gotten close to Lu Qicheng from the start, and her Prince Consort had always been her!

Lu Qipei didn't care much about this at first, or perhaps she had already expected what would happen after her death, and didn't hold any hope at all. But Qi Yang managed to surprise her as always. Not only did she manage to recognize the difference between the siblings, she also didn't let Lu Qicheng take advantage of it- in various senses of the word!

The atmosphere between them became even more harmonious, and the two people inside the carriage became closer without any shackles holding them back.

But no matter how slow the carriage was moving, the road back to the palace finally came to an end. The coachman slowly stopped the carriage in front of the palace gates, and he didn't have to remind them, because the two inside had noticed that the carriage had stopped.

Lu Qipei looked at Qi Yang with eyes filled with reluctance. But looking at the sky outside the carriage again, it really wouldn't be long before the palace gates were closed, so she could only endure her reluctance and said, “This is it. Go back to the palace, I will return first…”

Qi Yang held her hand before she could finish speaking. Lu Qipei looked up and saw that Qi Yang had gotten up and approached her.

Lu Qipei blinked, not realizing what Qi Yang was going to do. In the next moment, Qi Yang leaned in front of her, her other hand propped on the carriage's wall. Then, that beautiful and familiar face quickly approached her.

A kiss landed on the corner of her lips. It pecked her lightly, then turned slightly to cover her lips completely.

In that one moment, Qi Yang's kiss seemed to hide all the pleasant surprise, lovesickness and reluctance she had inside. She didn't give Lu Qipei any opportunity to refuse; she just pushed her down on that position and kissed her, not letting themselves be separated.

When Qi Yang finally pulled back, Lu Qipei was not only blushing from the kiss. Even her usually clear and transparent eyes had turned misty. There was still the remnant of Qi Yang's lip balm on her lips as Lu Qipei looked at her darling with dazed eyes, making Qi Yang want to bully her again.

Qi Yang's heart skipped a beat again when she saw her. She was feeling really hot and wanted to kidnap Lu Qipei back to the palace again… Unfortunately, things were different right now, and Lu Qipei wasn't just an unknown nobody anymore.

She didn't dare to risk causing public disapproval, and she didn't want to add more complications to their marriage. So unfortunately, she could only resentfully suppress those thoughts.

“Alright, you go back first. I'll see you again when I find the chance.” Qi Yang said mercilessly without looking away.

Lu Qipei also snapped back to reality at this moment. Her face was still a little red, but she still replied obediently, “Then, I'll go first.”

She was already getting up when she said that, but Qi Yang stopped her. “Wait!”

Lu Qipei turned around; Qi Yang was reaching over embarrassedly, trying to wipe the remnants of her lip balm. If Lu Qipei went out like this, everyone would be able to guess what had happened inside the carriage just now.

But when Qi Yang's hand reached Lu Qipei, the latter took a step back, as if she was on guard.

Qi Yang was surprised, and felt a little uneasy. But at the next moment, she saw Lu Qipei stretching out her tongue to lick the lip balm left on her lips. That familiar scene was followed by a familiar sentence. Lu Qipei winked and her and smiled, “Ah Ning is still sweet as always.”

After saying that, Lu Qipei pushed the door open and walked out without waiting for Qi Yang's response, and quickly disappeared from her sight.

Her Royal Highness The Princess sat frozen inside the carriage for a while, before finally realizing that she had just been teased by the other party.

She touched her lips and suddenly smiled…
