He was taken to the hospital with how hard he was beaten and Rachel won the prize along with a weeks detention for beating up a classmate. She sat next to Jasmine who kept staring at her when she finally said "Alright stop staring, he was the one who provoked me and this is the reason I don't interact with anyone."

She held her, patted her back comforting "I know and what you did was perfect, he deserved that."

She smiled and then they hugged each other until they felt better and then Jasmine finally spoke "I need to leave, my mom must be waiting, we have to go shopping."

She patted her arm "Get going." and with these words Jasmine ran off. Rachel turned around too leave too when she spotted her father standing there waiting for her. She ran into his arms and the strong girl finally broke down into tears, Charles hugged her tightly and patted her head until she calmed down "Darling you did great, if you didn't punch him I would have done that and your mother won't ever know about the detention."

She kept hugging him and said through broken sobs "You are the best Dad, I love you and thanks for being here."

He pulled her away, looked into her eyes "Of all the things I would never miss seeing my daughter kick someone's ass. She smiled at first but with all the weird faces Charles kept making, she finally started laughing and cleaned her eyes. Charles took her bag and as they sat in the car he asked "Would you like an ice-cream to make you feel better." She nodded like a little kitten which made Charles smile, patting her head he started driving and they went to have the ice-cream. While they were having an ice-cream she asked "Dad, is it fine if we go and visit Kevin because I feel guilty of beating him so hard, I mean a punch was sufficient but I went too far."

"If it makes you feel better we can go after having some food but you don't need to feel guilty and I will go with you." She smiled, nodded again and quietly went back to eating her ice-cream.

In the hospital Kevin was not seriously injured but his parents were still busy with work and they didn't have time to visit their son. The always happy and cheerful guy was heartbroken and gloomy lying on the bed. He kept thinking of the fact that he kissed Rachel and it felt so good that he was ready to take that beating again if he could do that once more but the fact that Rachel didn't think of him highly made him sadder. He didn't care if he had to get out of the basketball team or being treated badly by other people because he had done everything for her in first place, to get her attention but his pride and image ruined everything.
