Chapter 12

When An XuMo was hit by the bat, he didn't feel the intense pain. And when he met with Zhou JinChen, his satisfaction with their relationship lessened most of the pain. But after the short meal, An XuMo's back suddenly arched sharply as if his back was on fire. The pain he had previously ignored has accumulated.                 

The man next to him made a phone call, hang up and started asking him, "Did those people did this to you?"

An XuMo reluctantly nodded. Bright red blood oozed out from the corner of his mouth, dyeing his pale lips red.     

During one of his dizzy spells, someone was wiping away the blood on the corners of his mouth. An XuMo wanted to thank him, but because of his raw throat, he wasn't sure if he had thanked him or not. All he knows is that he is in an interior room with a constant temperature control system. But, the cold air is drilling into his skin making his teeth is chatter.                

After some amount of time, a strong cool hand lifted him up. Behind him, there seemed to be another person examining him. Their hand is putting pressure on his back and their voice is constantly heard. An XuMo only remembered being in a man's arms. The man's buttons were hard against him and he has a faint, cold fragrance.      

After that, An XuMo fainted.  

The fire on his back is burning the bottom of his heart, it is like a hand constantly loading firewood. In front of him, there is a cold breeze. His hands and feet are frozen over. An XuMo struggled for a long time to catch the light. He struggled to climb out of the abyss of fire and ice. It took him a while to realize that his eyes are already opened.               

He was surrounded by a sea of murky gray. And it is dark and late outside. There is no light in the room, only some light came out of the door nearby. An XuMo found himself bent over. The feeling of fire on his back has subsided, it seems that his back has been smeared with medicine. Then a faint voice came outside of the room. An XuMo listened when a familiar male voice said, "When he walks up, call me. I will find someone to pick him up. I am going to go now, I still have something to do."  

An XuMo's was still fuzzy so for a moment so he could not tell whose voice is it. The other man was asking him if he is coming home tonight. The first voice avoids the questioning with a couple of sentences. Then, the noise suddenly disappeared.      

An XuMo pushed himself to a sitting position. The wound on his back is slightly numb but it doesn't hurt anymore. He couldn't see anything clearly in the dark so he fumbles around for a pair of slippers next to the bed. Subconsciously, An XuMo opens the bright door.      

If he had known what the people outside were doing, he wouldn't be so rash. But it was too late to have regrets. An XuMo was surprised to find a doctor's office outside of the room.  

Of course, it isn't surprising to be in the hospital. But the main thing is that those two people are standing in the doctor's office kissing.    

The man with his back facing An XuMo is Xin ZiMai. His hair is slightly curly on the back, so it is very easy to recognize him. The person who kissed him is actually a man wearing a white hospital coat and a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. He is half a meter taller than Xin ZiMai.     

He looks very elegant. But when he looks up, his eyes are so sharp that even glasses couldn't hide them.   

An XuMo was somewhat embarrassed. He doesn't dare to make any noises, he was afraid to startle Xin ZiMai. When the unfamiliar man saw him, An XuMo made an apologetic gesture and tip-toed back to his room.           

The door was half open so he could still hear the sounds from outside. There was a distinct panic in ZiMai's voice, "What are you doing……."   

The other man's voice has a hint of laughter, "In the list of things to do before marriage, we finally finished one."

His voice is a lot softer than his gaze. Even though An XuMo doesn't understand what is happening, he sat down on the bed and waited. He touched his back and as expected, it was covered in bandages.      

"I won't do that with you……" Xin ZiMai said the sentence halfway before he swallowed back his anger. His voice lowered, "I have to go……ai, did the compartment door opened just now? Xiao An is awake?"       

An XuMo started panicking. But he never thought the man who had clearly seen him say, "No, it was like that."   

"Was it……" Xin ZiMai's voice still had some doubts but he doesn't look like he wants to stay here any longer. He said "I'm leaving" in a hurry and left.   

"I'll call you when he wakes up." The other man said.

"Sorry for the inconvenience."

After the door closed, the room is finally quiet. Then, shallow footsteps came. The man pushed the door of the compartment open and reached out to turn on the light, "Are you awake?"

It is only then that An XuMo found himself sleeping in a separate lounge. The room is very small, basically, there is only one bed and two chairs. As he observes the furnishing of the room, the man at the door opened his mouth, "You can't occupy the hospital bed without a serious illness so you are sleeping in my lounge. Don't worry, the sheets have been replaced."    

An XuMo has no other means, he pursed his lips and lowered his voice, "Thank you. Sorry for the inconvenience."         

The man looked at him once more, his voice eased up a little, "If you remember not to eat seafood after getting an injury next time, then it wasn't an inconvenience."   

Only then did An XuMo understand why he felt a sudden sharp pain. He looked up at the other, "Thank you…..Dr. Li, I will remember that."

There was a badge on his white coat with his name on it―― Li QiuChen. Li QiuChen came over to check on An XuMo's bandages and immediately said, “It's not a big deal. Change the bandages and medicine tomorrow. The ointment is on the desk. Don't let the water touch the wound for three days. Avoid spicy food and seafood. It should be alright after a week.”   　

An XuMo thanked him again, picked up his coat from the bedside, found his shoes and put them on. Li QiuChen had returned back to his office outside of the lounge. When he took the ointment, Li QiuChen was calling Xin ZiMai, who has just left. Xin ZiMai let An XuMo wait at the hospital gate. Tang Tang will pick him up.  

An XuMo wanted to ask about Zhou JinChen, but he had already given the other party enough trouble today. So now he is too embarrassed to speak. When he left, Li QiuChen hasn't hung up. They seem to be talking about other things. An XuMo didn't stay for long so he carefully left the building.        

It is already ten o'clock when he met Tang Tang. The other obviously heard what happened this afternoon. Although Tang Tang has a lot of questions, she really loves An XuMo dearly. So she didn't ask, she just let him go back and rest. She would deal with it. An XuMo was so tired that he slept most of the way. After returning to the dormitory, he didn't even tidy up before falling asleep.      

A half month later, the seven trainees never appeared again. An XuMo heard Tang Tang mention it once. She said that their contract was reduced and they moved to the branch office. But he has never been concerned with other people's affairs. When things were settled, he resumed his ten hours of daily training.      

Now that An XuMo's back has healed, An XuMo was contemplating if he should buy the limited edition, Zhou JinChen's cover《Bright》magazine. Then Tang Tang suddenly calls in absent, brought in a big and small bag and board him on the plane.       

It is first class too.

An XuMo asked about it and as expected 《Sunny Weekend》's recording is about to begin.    

They are going to Sanya, which is the recording site of 《Sunny Weekend》's second season. An XuMo has already seen the first season. But the second season's location is different and setups have also changed. Plus, this is the first time that he has officially face the camera. It is hard for An XuMo not to be nervous.

However, when he turned around and saw the man next to him, the nervousness became something else.   

――This is also the first time An XuMo has to perform in front of his brother.

As soon as Zhou JinChen finished his announcement, he put his luggage on the plane, put on blindfolds and earbuds, and went to sleep. When An XuMo and the flight attendant arrived, they lightly covered him with a blanket. They were sitting next to each other while Tang Tang was in the back row. Three hours later, a radio announces that they were about to land. An XuMo tried to wake up the sleeping man beside him.         

"Senior, senior? Wake up, we're almost there.

Zhou JinChen's sleep was very deep, he hardly moved along the way. An XuMo's nervous heart has calmed down when Zhou JinChen didn't respond. Then he tried to gently push Zhou JinChen's arm to wake the other.   

Unexpectedly, the other party suddenly reached out and pinched his wrist with a similar force to a clamp.  

"Wu……"

An XuMo trembled in pain. The man in front of him pulled off his blindfold and looked at him with a sharp glare.      

An XuMo doesn't dare to cry out in pain. Zhou JinChen started at him before withdrawing his hand.

He raised his hand to massage his temples, his voice was still fatigued and hoarse. Looking at his eyes, there is an undetectable annoyance, "Why did you call me senior……did I hurt you?"
