Mu Jianyu was planning to see Li Xiuying that night to ask her for a romantic date, one that he'd meticulously planned before his visit. He considered Ying's memory loss as an opportunity for him to win her back, but he was also aware that he was treading on thin ice. One single mistake may cause Ying to recover her lost memories and he would be left with nothing. 

He was at a loss knowing that he couldn't fully kick Lin Meirong out of his life as she was carrying his child. The woman had made sure he couldn't easily discard her when his child's welfare was at stake. 

The thought of Lin Meirong harming his child, aborting the innocent life to spite him was enough to make the blood in his veins boil with fury. How did he fall for such a selfish and frivolous woman and forget about his lovely wife? He must have been out of his mind or that vixen had done something to cloud his mind. 

He had counted the days since Ying's accident and since then hoped that he could turn back time to change everything he'd done to her. He was so selfish, asking for a divorce, for a woman who only saw his wealth, not the man that he was. 

He'd spent these past few days planning to woo his wife again, to make her think that he was the only one who loved her, but he was too late. Hou Chen once again blocked his way to see Li Xiuying at her penthouse, telling him she'd left with Shen Zichen. 

"Ah, you're too late, Mr. Mu. Our Miss had already left with Young Master Shen." Hou Chen said with a tone filled with contempt. Every time she saw this man, her hands were itching to punch Mu Jianyu's face beyond recognition, but because Miss Chuntao had laid delicate traps for him, Hou Chen couldn't allow herself to ruin her plans. 

"Shen Zichen?" Mu Jianyu's face darkened at once. While Shen Zichen's name could instill fear in someone who hears his name, Mu Jianyu felt nothing but an annoyance for it. 

Why wasn't he surprised at all? But what irked him the most was Shen Zichen's persistence to stay with Ying, even though he knew that he was still her husband. 

Was this Shen Zichen's way to let him know he wasn't going to give up Ying this time? That because of his betrayal, Shen Zichen doesn't see him fit to become Ying's husband anymore?

The man had kept his distance from Ying for five years since their wedding and now that his relationship with her was on the rocks, Shen Zichen suddenly showed up causing a rift between him and Ying. 

"Where are they?" he demanded from Hou Chen. He wouldn't allow the other man to fill Ying's mind with ideas about him. He was in pain when he found out that Ying had forgotten him but he wouldn't let Shen Zichen take her away from him. 

Honestly, he should be thankful that Li Xiuying only suffered a memory loss because now, Mu Jianyu didn't think he would be able to take it if Ying had lost her life because of that accident. Except for her memory loss and shallow wounds, he was glad that the accident's affect wasn't as bad as he expected. The Li family surely gave him a good scare when they didn't allow him to see his wife during her stay at the hospital. 

But what if Shen Zichen informed Ying about his extramarital affair with Lin Meirong? How was he supposed to face Ying if she found out? 

No. he couldn't allow Shen Zichen to ruin his chances to mend his relationship with his wife. Ying's accident had been a strong wake-up call for him. It reminded him of what he was about to lose. 

It hit him with full force and when Shen Zichen told him that Ying was aware of his affair, he was shocked to the core. Anyone could have known about it but not Ying. No… she couldn't have known, but Shen Zichen wouldn't possibly be lying to him that night. He'd seen how Su Ling and Song Zexi looked at him with disgust on their faces. They surely know about it, but didn't mention anything out of respect for their Miss. 

Ying never gave him the impression that she knew. She was acting as if nothing happened, there was nothing peculiar about her actions. Now, he only wished to be able to stay by her side and never leave her alone. He had wronged her, Mu Jianyu knew this, and he could only hope that his wife would give him a chance to rectify it. 

But how could he do it when Shen Zichen was always around to ruin his chance of being alone with Ying? 

Initially, he was devastated when Ying said she didn't recognize him, that she didn't believe that he was her husband, but later, he felt relieved. He had decided to take advantage of her memory loss and try to win her heart again and when he does, perhaps when she recovers her memories, she would be moved by his persistence and would forgive him for his betrayal. 

Hou Chen arched a brow at him. Mu Jianyu's reaction was exactly what Miss Chuntao's had expected. Was Mu Jianyu easily swayed and angered by just mentioning Shen Zichen's name? Had she known it would yield such a reaction from this bastard she would've used it before, when she had the chance. 

"I'm afraid they won't come back anytime soon. Young Master Shen accompanied Miss Ying to the celebration banquet for the film the Li family invested in." was Hou Chen's response, It was enough to add the fuel to the fire. 

Mu Jianyu's eyes widened in shock. Of course, he knew what film Su Ling was talking about. His face blanched as he realized that his wife would be in the same room as his mistress. What if Lin Meirong decided to reveal their relationship to Ying to spite him after their last talk?

After their last conversation, he knew that Lin Meirong would take drastic action to ruin him if he attempted to leave her, but he also couldn't allow her to destroy his marriage, more than she already had. 

No, this couldn't be. Not only Shen Zichen was with Ying but also Lin Meirong?! That damned woman wouldn't make it easy for him to get back with his wife. 

He hurriedly left the Li twins' penthouse after asking Hou Chen for the address of the venue, which the latter willingly provided. Mu Jianyu was oblivious to Hou Chen's mocking smile when he left. 

Hou Chen was really impressed with Miss Chuntao's deductions. Oh, how cunning she was to put the cheating couple in the same place and make them go after each other necks. They will surely not allow each other to get what they each wanted from 'Li Xiuying'. 

If only her friend Ying was as cunning and devious as her younger twin sister, she wouldn't have suffered from her husband's betrayal for too long. She wasn't sure how Li Chuntao would seek revenge for Ying but she could only hope that the younger Li twin wouldn't suffer losses on the path she had chosen. 

'Miss Chuntao, it's a pity I wouldn't be able to witness the first act but please don't let them get away easily. Ying deserves to get justice even if she isn't here with us.'
