Having been caught by him, Hua Zhu Yu quickly lowered her head and pretended to have not seen anything. She then slowed walked over and placed the cup of tea on the side of the couch, smilingly saying, “The weather is so hot, would Your Highness like a cup of tea?”

“Little Bao Er, Wen Wan got engaged to Chancellor Ji. Say, is there any way for her to enter the palace and attend the consort selection?” Huangfu Wu Shuang coldly asked, not replying to Hua Zhu Yu.

Hua Zhu Yu lifted her head and saw that the tears on Huangfu Wu Shuang’s face had been wiped clean and only a solemn look remained on his beautiful face. Besides those pair of damp lashes, there was no other indication that he had just cried.
