It was beautiful and gentle, containing an unspeakable charm like that of a spring, extinguishing all of his pent up anger. His heart was startled as he rushed to stand up. His eyes fell on Hua Zhu Yu's neck and saw that even with her head bent forward, a red hand print still could be clearly seen.

He silently ridiculed himself as he felt that he must’ve gone crazy. That was the person he had personally sent to get castrated, no matter how beautiful he was, he was still a man, well, now that person’s not a man nor woman.

"Why didn't you resist, this prince knows you're highly skill in marital arts. With your skills you can beat me, even kill me!" Huangfu Wu Shuang slowly asked.

Resting on the floor, Hua Zhu Yu let out a lazy laugh, "I'm your servant, Your Highness. If Your Highness wants to vent your anger out on this servant, this servant has no choice but to accept, how could this servant dare to protest, nor does this servant have the ability to resist!"

Huangfu Wu Shuang gazed at her before slowly asking, " Yuan Bao, in the end, what's your motive for entering the palace?" He had instruct people to go Tuy Tien to ask around, but still could not find out any information on Hua Zhu Yu.

Was it really as he said, that he was just a wanderer amidst the Jianghu with no family?

But when Huangfu Wu Shuang looked at Hua Zhu Yu, she really did not look like the son of some common family nor a member of the Jianghu.

"Don't say it's because you wanted to assist me, you have your own objective!" His face fell dark as the corners of his lips lifted up in a cold sneer.

A little startled, Hua Zhu Yu raised her head to look at Huangfu Wu Shuang. It seemed like he was not completely clueless as she originally thought. He even tried to investigate her origins and now, with an austere expression and lips tightly pressed together, he was completely serious, displaying a majestic air.

"This servant wants revenge," Hua Zhu Yu replied with a half truth and half lie. Only by doing so would she be able to make him trust her. Furthermore, based on tonight’s events, it can be easily seen that Huangfu Wu Shuang and Ji Feng Li were incompatible as water and fire.

"Who’s the enemy?" Huangfu Wu Shuang asked as he creased his brows.

"This servant doesn't dare hide from Your Highness, it is Ji Feng Li. In the beginning, this servant came to Yu City intending to assassinate him, but he has many skilled subordinates, therefore this servant had to lie low at Tuy Tien. However, this servant didn’t imagine this servant would meet Your Highness and unintentionally enter the palace. But now this servant is determined to help Your Highness overthrow Ji Feng Li," replied Hua Zhu Yu.

"This Prince can also tell!" Huangfu Wu Shuang slowly walked over to the table and sat down.

Huangfu Wu Shuang’s words startled Hua Zhu Yu.

He can tell? Tell that she hated Ji Feng Li? Was she that obvious? Then does Ji Feng Li also know?

"Earlier, when their boat was leaving, your eyes, they were brimming with hatred, deep hatred as thought you wanted to swallow Ji Feng Li alive. This prince would be a fool not to notice. " After speaking, Huangfu Wu Shuang’s mood improved as he grabbed the bamboo chopsticks and began to eat. Upon seeing this, the surrounding servants kneeling on the floor quickly came forward to assist him. However, he lifted his hands and let them all withdraw.

Hua Zhu Yu thought that in the future she should learn how to hide her emotions better. If just seeing Ji Feng Li made her like this then she suspected that once she met the Southern Emperor she would swiftly turn into an assassin and pounce to kill him!

"Your Highness, do you know the person who tried to attack this servant earlier? " Hua Zhu Yu slowly asked.

Huangfu Wu Shuang let out a cold humph and said, ” Don’t think just based on his appearance that Ji Feng Li’s just some weak scholar. Ever since he first entered the court as an official, he’s  gathered quite a few people from the Jianghu to work for the court.  The person who attacked you was one of his subordinates, people in the Jianghu call him Tong Shou. Heard he was also a prominent member of a sect but don't know what happened, but now people in that sect want him dead therefore he was willing to submit to the court. Perhaps Ji Feng Li thinks this prince doesn’t have any talented subordinates and so commanded that Tong Shou  to test your skills. Perhaps he’s also guessed that this boat belongs to this prince."

Huangfu Wu Shuang slammed the chopsticks down on table as he lost his appetite. “He wants to assist Second Brother up the throne, but we still have to see whether second brother has the ability or not."

Huangfu Wu Shuang had one younger brother named Huangfu Wu Shang who was a lot younger than him. Huangfu Wu Shang was birthed from a palace maidservant and when he was young, he fell and broke his legs.  He was never favored, the treatment between him and Huangfu Wu Shuang could be said to be as different as the sky and earth. Huangfu Wu Shuang was pronounced crown prince when he was only 5 years old. However, even til now, Huangfu Wu Shang was yet to be given any title.

The hostility between Huangfu Wu Shuang and Ji Feng LI  was not only because of Wen Wan, but also related to the power struggles in court.

Of course, this was only Huangfu Wu Shuang’s speculation. If a court official and prince schemed for the throne, they’d be executed. If Huangfu Wu Shuang had any tangible evidence, he would’ve soon ran to the old Emperor to tell on Ji Feng Li.

However, no matter what, at least now Huangfu Wu Shuang no longer doubted her. She can peaceful stay in the palace, and things regarding the future, she can slowly plan.

The dark night gradually grew more obscure as a desolate breeze passed through the cabin window, sending a cold shiver through Hua Zhu Yu.
